BlazerRazor has posted some WIP news of his app for the DS:
Remote Touch DS gives you the opportunity to remote-control your computers mouse, keyboard and other things from your Nintendo DS hand-held console. This solution is not like remote desktop, but more like an advanced remote control.
The solution is client-server based, obviously, and requires you to have a server running. It is not plugged with synergy, it is my own solution. The server receives commands from the Nintendo DS and acts according to them.
Update.
I am looking at a release tomorrow. The new version will include some nice titbits like;
- Media Control Extended (MEX) - good for Media Center or similar
- Keyboard fully calibrated and working with key press sound for comfort
- Remote restart or shutdown of your computer - good for those late night movie sessions where you just want to shutdown your computer directly from the comfort of your bed

Super Robot Wars is returning once again. While this probably isn't a surprise given that Namco Bandai always seems to have a new entry on the way, there's reason to celebrate for Wii owners. This time around, Wii gets the new game all to itself.
Super Robot Taisen Neo, as it's being called in Japan, promises the same blend of strategy and RPG gameplay for which the series is known. The big difference this time is the focus of the included franchises. Namco Bandai promises a total of 14 productions, focusing on "bright, enjoyable works in which kids play a large role." Hmm... sounds like someone's been Nintendo profiling again.
Japanese Wii owners can look forward Super Robot Taisen Neo some time this year.

Newly released today:
Nintendo's upcoming Wii™ MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote™ controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player's arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play.

Nintendo is offering two new WiiWare games and one new DSiWare game today.
Let's Catch, the Yuji Naka Wii accompaniment to Let's Tap, we know a bit about. It's based on the game of catch, but twists the formula to fit various mini-games. Pictures and videos on the Let's Tap WiiWare site help explain.
Icarian: Kindred Spirits is the other WiiWare title. This follows Nyx, a lovely winged girl who is trying to find Icarus. She'll fly, aim and shoot through Ancient Greece-themed platform levels, getting by with a little help from the Gods - whose powers can be unleashed by shaking the Wiimote, which you can also enlist a friend to do for you. Find out more on the Icarian: Kindred Spirits site.
Both Let's Catch and Icarian: Kindred Spirits cost 1000 Nintendo Points, which is roughly GBP 7 or EUR 10. Points bought online and points bought on cards in shops differ slightly in price.
The DSiWare game is the catchily named A Little Bit of... Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: Maths Edition. It's largely a reproduction of Brain Training's maths game, although there are new features added and some extra problems to solve. At 800 Nintendo Points (around GBP 6 / EUR 8) the price may be a little high, however.

Wii Sport Resort was designed to show the new Wii MotionPlus' extra motion-sensing powers, but how well do the on-screen sports reflect their real-life counterparts?
Not in the mood to mess about, Nintendo went straight to the experts themselves, who got to grips with the new game, which is out in July, and pass their verdict. Here's what they had to say (after receiving a high five from Nintendo, we assume):
Darius Knight, Table Tennis Professional: "I loved the control of the Wii MotionPlus in Wii Sports Resort - it meant I could map my movements precisely on screen. Every flick of my wrist was faithfully mirrored and I found myself having to hold the controller exactly as I would my racket to get the effect I wanted. It even reproduced a backhand with spin! I loved the challenge it presented and couldn't put it down until I'd mastered my sport in the virtual world!"
Wesley Haeke, Kendo Champion: "When I played swordplay in Wii Sports Resort, I was surprised how realistic the Wii Motion Plus sensor made the game. I had to hold the controller exactly as I would a Shinai to get the precision I wanted, as well as holding stances such as jodan no kamae exactly as I would in a tournament to beat my opponent. Winning the game requires concentration, patience and precision, just as in real life."
Melissa Reid, Professional Golfer: "I expected precision from the Wii MotionPlus, but I didn't expect this! Every rotation through the body and the way I held the Wii controller was reflected in Wii Sports Resort. The option of three, nine or 18 holes was great as it meant I could do a quick-fire round or take my time; the graphics are really impressive too. Believe me - it wasn't easy hitting birdie and I certainly spent my fair share of time in the rough!"
Danilo Gallinari, Pro Basketball Player: "The three-point basketball challenge in Wii Sports Resort was fantastic. The precision of the Wii MotionPlus meant I really had to focus to accurately shoot the hoops and with the clock ticking I definitely started to feel the pressure. The Wii MotionPlus demands precision and won't let you off with a limp-wristed slam dunk; you really need to give it your all!"
Gema Buitron, Archery Champion: "Seeing my sport reflected exactly on screen was amazing! I loved that the levels got progressively harder and that I needed to factor distance and wind speed into my shot. The precision was remarkable and I found I really had to concentrate to ensure I was scoring highly. I was particularly impressed with how the controller emulated an archery bow, with the Wii Remote acting as the bow and pulling the Nunchuck back like the string, to determine the strength of the shot."

Yahoo Games has an article describing a new mode in Nintendo's upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii that will allow the player to activate a 'demo' mode to get out of a hard situation. Nintendo plans on incorporating this into future games. Is this a good idea (to help relieve frustrations) or just sanctioned cheating?"
They actually patented this system as well.

Nicksasa has updated FSToolbox to v0.3
FS Toolbox is a NAND browser that can dump files from the nand to sd card and write files from sd card to the nand, with this you can edit files on the nand to test stuff out and to have backups of your files if something ever goes wrong.
You can set the pointer onto a TMD file in the selected title id and then press 2, you will be able to select the IOS version the channel uses and fakesign it after that.
NEW FUNCTION : Dump the full nand fs to your SD! Just press 1 and it will start
Warning
FS Toolbox is a dangerous program, and it is advised that you only use it if you have a sufficient understanding of how the Wii system memory works and what files not to mess with. You should probably use BootMii as boot2 to backup your Wii before continuing.
The creator of this application takes no responsibility for the damage that you may cause to your console when using this.
Update History
0.3 - June 18, 2009
Code cleanup
Update function
Recursive folder dump function(full dump when executed from root)
Changed the console code

Nintendo may be new to this whole "teaser site" thing, but they're doing a bang up job at the teasing part!
As promised last week, the company gave its Tingle teaser site an update today with some promised trailer footage. The good news is that there are three trailers. The bad news is that they're all just a few seconds long, and rather than calling them video footage, they're more like still images waving around somewhat.
To see the "clips" for yourself, click on the television icon at the site. We were able to obtain three different clips by clicking multiple times.
So far, it's known that this game will be a DS title that's suitable for all ages (it has the lowest rating from Japan's ratings board). It will presumably star the Zelda mascot that everyone loves to hate. And it will probably never come out in America because everyone really loves to hate him here.
Aside from that, we'll have to wait until Nintendo cuts with the teasing and gives the game a proper unveil.

The whole corporate merger thing has been somewhat of a bust when it comes to the one area that everyone can agree is important: crossover games. But two recently merged gaming giants are looking to change that.
Tecmo and Koei, operating since April 1 under the unified parent holding company of Tecmo Koei Holdings, appears to be developing one or more games that merges elements from each sides' franchises. This revelation comes from the summer edition of The Nikkei Corporate Quarterly, an Japanese investor's information book. The listing for Tecmo Koei Holdings reads "Will release games that combine Tecmo and Koei's titles. The aim is to reach fans of both [companies]."
The listing does not get into the specifics, but it's enough to get us imagining the possibilities for Dynasty Gaiden, Romance of the Three Bowls, and Dead or Alive Inertia.
Let us know in the comments section what two Koei and Tecmo franchises you'd like to see combined.
