Nintendo is poised to cease production of the 3DS XL in Japan, shifting focus to the more popular New 3DS XL model.
The product page on Nintendo's official website has "ending production soon" next to all seven colours of the device that are currently on sale in Japan. However, despite the popularity of the New 3DS, the original 3DS will continue to exist.
The 3DS XL was launched in the summer of 2012, but the New 3DS XL has been ahead in sales ever since its release in October. It's worth noting that, relative to other hardware platforms in Japan, the 3DS XL remains popular. It sold more than 11,000 units in the last week alone, so the decision to end production may be a ploy to boost sales of the New 3DS XL further still.
According to Siliconera, which translated the announcement, the New 3DS XL is on track to sell 1.2 million units before the end of the year.

A memory-corrupting error reportedly stemming from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is rendering some Wii U consoles unusuable, multiple sources claim.
Users experiencing Error Code 160-0103 report a number of related issues, ranging from data deletion to unplayable games. In some cases, a related error message (160-1710) persists even in the Wii U's Data Management menu, requiring the console to be shipped to Nintendo for repair.
"There is a problem with the system memory," the error message . "For help, make a note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com."
A specific cause has not been determined, but many users report experiencing the issue after turning the system off and back on again after a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U session. Issues related to Error Code 160-0103 were infrequently reported prior to the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and a reliable solution is not yet known.
Joystiq has reached out to Nintendo regarding the error message, but has not received a response.
[Update: A Reddit post clarifies that the problem is not exclusively caused bySuper Smash Bros. for Wii U, citing previous user experiences with Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, and other Wii U games. Faulty flash memory chips are suspected to be at fault, though a consistent, proven cause remains unknown.]

That’s a lot of work for a single person.Alas, we are now on the other side of some of that work and can indulge what it brings. And so, if you want to play the first world and eight levels of A Tribute To Donkey Kong, you can download it for free on its website for Windows and Mac.

After reports rolled in yesterday about Super Smash Bros. and other Wii U games being met with error codes that resulted in a loss of system functionality, Nintendo acknowledged that it is investigating the problems. Error codes 160-0103 and 160-1710 "could affect the ability of the system to function properly" for a "small percentage of consumers playing Wii U," Nintendo of America told Joystiq.
The reported issues varied from a loss of data to games on the system being unplayable entirely, issues that persisted within the data management menu on the Wii U for some. The error messages note that "there is a problem with the system memory." Nintendo encourages anyone experiencing the errors codes to call the Nintendo contact center at 1-800-255-3700 for help, until a solution is available.

We got a chance to go hands on with Mario Maker at E3 this past June and it was pretty awesome even if it felt a little bit, well, safe. New footage that premiered at tonight's The Game Awards in Las Vegas blew our previous conceptions out of the water, though. From the looks of the video below, you can alter levels on-the-fly in ways we didn't previously know were possible. We're talking creating a platform to land on mid-jump and turning otherwise fatal bullet cannons into coin-spewing fountains. Not crazy enough? How about swapping in art styles from the past 30 years of the Italian plumber's career as you see fit while running through what starts as level 1-1 from Super Mario Bros. in real-time? Exactly. Hit the jump for a peek at the madness.

If you purchased a Wii U Deluxe (that's the black one with 32GB of onboard storage) at any point since the console's November 18, 2012 launch, you're eligible for Nintendo's Deluxe Digital promotion, which awards 10 percent of all digital purchases back to the buyer in the form of eShop credit. Unfortunately for anyone just hearing of the deal, that rebate is about to come to an end.
"The deadline for earning points in the Deluxe Digital Promotion is December 31, 2014," reads an "Important News" bulletin at the promotion's website. "Only eligible purchases or eligible download codes used in Nintendo eShop for Wii U before December 31, 2014 will qualify for this promotion." Fortunately, Nintendo is not entirely shuttering the promotion at the end of the year. Anyone with sufficient points remaining in their Deluxe Digital account to earn eShop credit will be able to make the exchange until March 31, 2015. For more information, visit the Deluxe Digital home page.

[nitro2k01] got his hands on a Game Fighter, a clone of the original Game Boy. While there’s a ton of information about the boot ROM and operation of the original Game Boy, not much is known about these clones. [nitro2k01] wanted to learn more, so he used a clock-glitching technique to dump the device’s ROM and made some interesting discoveries about its copyright protection and boot process along the way.
Reading the contents of the Game Boy ROM is a bit challenging. The ROM is readable while booting, but afterwards the address space of the ROM is remapped for interrupt vectors and other uses. There are a couple of methods to get around this, but the simplest method involves glitching the crystal by grounding one of its leads. This causes the CPU to jump to random locations in memory. Eventually the CPU will jump to a location where the boot ROM is accessible (if you’re lucky!).
Although [nitro2k01]’s clone can run the same games as the Game Boy, it has a different boot ROM and also has some significant hardware differences. [nitro2k01] managed to use a modified version of the crystal-grounding technique to glitch his clock and dump the clone’s boot ROM. He found that the clone uses an unusual variation on the Game Boy’s copyright-checking technique, along with some other oddities. [nitro2k01] also posted a disassembly of the boot ROM, which he explains in detail.
Thanks for the tip, [Ove].

It turns out that there's another reason for Nintendo's Amiibo character shortage: they're selling like crazy, and now third-party games are using them too. Nintendo said that it's sold over 700,000 of the figurines, as many as its best-selling Super Smash Bros. title. Third-party publisher Bandai Namco is also supporting the NFC-enabled characters for costume unlocks in its One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X on 3DS, making it the first non-Nintendo game to use Amiibo. Nintendo added that Wii U November sales were up 90 percent over last year, and that the console recently had it's biggest week since it launched in 2012.

Just yesterday system firmware 9.3 was released and after quickly analysing it we want to warn our users *NOT* to update their sysnand to 9.3 or higher if they want to enjoy our upcoming support!
We repeat, DO NOT update sysnand to 9.3 or beyond!
We plan to move forward with the additional support for sysnand firmware range 9.0 – 9.2.
For users that did not update yet in this range, do not worry. We will add support for a firmware range lower than 9.0 which can be installed using a gamecard update.

Today we present another quick update for our 4.5 users: Gateway OMEGA 2.7 which brings support for emunand 9.4!
We also want to inform our users that we are still working on native support for sysnand 9.0 – 9.2, so please be patient until we are ready to release!
We try to deliver a smooth experience for our users and this takes time to perfect!
We also inform our users that they MUST NOT UPDATE SYSNAND TO 9.3 OR ABOVE, because we will not be able to support entry to those sysnand versions any time soon.
If you are wondering what native support we will bring for lower than sysnand 9.0, we can tell that after 9.0-9.2 we will start with 8.0-8.1 and gradually work our way down with support for even lower sysnand firmware versions.

CaH4e3 updated his site with the following message:
- Pokemon Diamond III (HengGe, ABC-51PCB, MMC3 based 8M)(Ch)[!], Pokemon HeartGold (KT-008 PCB)(Ch)[!], Pokemon Leaf Green I (HengGe, BBC-21 PCB, MMC3 based 8M)(Ch)[!], Pokemon Leaf Green II (HengGe, BBC-2 PCB, MMC3 based 8M)(Ch)[!], Pokemon Platinum (KT-008 PCB)(Ch)[!], Pokemon Platinum Alt title 1 (KT-008 PCB)(Ch)[!], Pokemon Platinum Alt title 2 (KT-008 PCB)(Ch)[!].
Today our cart donator is Beetle Hair! Thanks a lot a lot! All his carts are from Pokemon series developed by Jncota, some of them seems to be rare enough. Some versions was published by SHENZHEN JNCOTA TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD itself (KT series), some was released by also well known HENZHENSHIHENGGEKEJIDIANZIYOUXIANGONGSI. The last ones uses MMC3 boards with expandable PRG banks range, so the programm can address 1Mb of PRG banks instantly. This is already emulated in current versions of FCEUmm and FCEUX. KT series has mostly regular MMC3 boards, but with extra registers to switch between large 512K PRG banks, so we have the same 1Mb of data. Similar dumps are floating around already on the net, but only one of the latest versions of VirtuaNESex can emulate it. Now FCEUmm/FCEU supports these dumps too, including all Pokemon games. Updated FCEUmm build already uploaded to this site, SVN repository of FCEUX updated too.
From the whole series of these games I know only one game is dumped for sure, it's "Pokemon Diamond II" (if you know more, tell me). Also, I have two more carts, unfortunately not working with presumably "Pokemon Diamond I" and "Pokemon Leaf Green III". If i can recover them, I'll put them on my site next time.

Chord is a monophonic synth program for the original Nintendo Game Boy. The idea was to make something that can be played like an instrument, but with the limitations of the few buttons available. No extra accessories. No midi keyboards.
You build “chords” of five notes and play them back using the pulsewave channel, with full sound register settings control and optional arpeggiator.

ZXDS is an emulator of Sinclair ZX Spectrum for Nintendo DS, written by Patrik Rak. It is steadily reaching a mature stage of development, and it already has some noteworthy features, like accurate emulation of Spectrum 48k, 128k and Pentagon models (including sound), or support for TAP/TZX/PZX tape files, TRD/SCL disk files and RZX playback files.
Changes:ZXDS 1.3.2 (22.11.2014)
* Fixed libfat bug which could make corrupt directory entry after the last entry was deleted. You might have experienced this mostly when renaming files or moving them around.
* Fixed couple more libfat bugs (really long names, alias creation, whitespace trimming).
* Added caseinfo extension to libfat so letter case of 8.3 names is now read properly.
* Medium associated with persistent copy of save slot 0 is never deleted prematurely anymore.
* Save slot medium removal is now postponed to further improve chance of media reuse.
* Few other subtle changes (cache filenames, file name trimming, minor help tweaks).

Giana’s Return aims to be a worthy UNOFFICIAL sequel of “The Great Giana Sisters” and has been recently released for Nintendo Wii. If you do have the homebrew channel at hand, you might want to check this release out.
Evil Swampy and his followers have stolen the magic ruby, which made it once possible for Giana and Maria to return from their dream. Many creatures are after this ruby, but does it really has power, or was it just a coincidence? As this is not bad enough, Swampy fell in love at first sight with Giana’s sister Maria and shamelessly kidnapped her. She simply has been at the wrong place at the wrong time. You will now have to take on the role of Giana and get back the magic ruby. If you have played Paper Mario (n64) and beaten many times, then it has become too easy for you. Are you a hardcore gamer and want more of a Challenge?! Just imagine if Paper Mario (n64) was harder: If enemy’s attacks were stronger and if they had more HP! Knux5577 tested the game with his patch applied and it was alot harder… and just think, Paper Mario used to be very easy for Knux5577! You have to really plan your attacks and usually skip doing tattles just to survive one battle! Don’t believe Knux5577? Try it yourself!http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2245/

A long overdue update and I bet it comes as no surprise to most that RetroUSB (RetroZone) has yet another Xmas cart out this year for the NES, the SNES counterpart sadly only lasted for a few years and yet again there is no SNES version. The Xmas 2014 NES cart features a game called Killer Queen Arcade and is probably the most fustrating xmas game to date, or maybe I just suck at playing it.
If you've like to own a copy, remember they're only available until the end of December. The standard cart is $44, but for $8 extra you are able to add custom text to the rom, making it one of a kind - unless someone else makes writes the same text hah.
The xmas cart is available here...
http://www.retrousb.com/product_info...roducts_id=132
Well I've updated the Xmas cart page with the new release.

On a side note I'd like to thank those of you who have left a comment in my previous "twins" post :-)

Very active in the development of this Super Nintendo emulator, StapleButter offers a new version of it for all the happy owners of Nintendo 3DS able to run homebrew (via gateway or Ninjhax).
On the menu of the day, we will retain a particularly accelerated rendering in hardware (which is, however, less effective than rendering software, at least for now) and a scaling of the image. Various bugs have been corrected at the same time and PAL timing is finally supported. Please note, homebrew 3DS currently using CSND for the audio portion, the emulator will remain hopelessly dumb if launched from a gateway (incompatible for now) or New 3DS (this function is not walking on this new model). Not until the reverse engineering of the DSP to hope enjoy the sound someday. Version 1.2: * Brand new hardware-accelerated renderer * Scaling carrier * Exit button (Mainly for use with the Homebrew Launcher) * Fixed Emulation (Namely, huge ' next EXP 'in Earthbound is fixed) * Support for the fashion 256x239 PAL * Proper support (Actually timings uses PAL) * Tries to prevent prevention GPU freezes * Synchronous SPC700 (fixed from goal aussi causes a little Slowdown) * As usual, more crap I forgot about. Want to know what Christmas morning was like back in (not-so) old uncle Jim's day? Well if you own a Wii U, maybe this year you can. As you wipe the sleep from your eyes on December 25th and run downstairs, you'll finally be able to take the digital wraps off Duck Hunt -- as Nintendo's just confirmed that's when it will be available viaVirtual Console. Finally you can pop a cap in a few majestic mallards -- just like uncle did all those years ago -- only with a Wiimote rather than a light gun (at least Nintendo didn't mention one yet). There's no word on whether you'll need to pay up for the privilege yet, either. If you are uncle/aunt Jim/Jane/whatever (like me), then perhaps instead you can show your favourite niece/nephew, exactly how it's done -- you old dog.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Super Mario Bros. creator and leading Nintendo visionary Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned that the Japanese console giant is already working on a successor to the now two-year-old Wii U.
"For the time being, our focus is on the Wii U hardware, but Nintendo as a whole has groups working on ideas for new hardware systems," Miyamoto said. "While we're busy working on software for the Wii U, we have production lines that are working on ideas for what the next system might be."
Keep in mind, this sort of far-future planning is routine for console manufacturers. It would be surprising if the "production lines" Miyamoto mentioned have moved beyond the early planning stages. Don't worry, it's going to be at least a few more years before you have to work another Nintendo console into your budget.

Players of Mario Maker, the upcoming Wii U game that lets players build their own 2D worlds in the style of the Super Mario Bros. series, will be able to share their creations online, according to Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.
In a recent with YouTube personality iJustine (translated by Nintendo Senior Product Marketing Manager Bill Trinen) Miyamoto said, "You'll be able to see what happens when other people play your course or when you play other people's courses. There will be some popularity rankings for the most popular courses and things like that. So there's a lot on the community side."
Miyamoto hopes you won't forsake those in your own home though, elaborating that he still pictures couch-based play, with a creator handing off their level to a friend or family member who is in the room. "But of course we will have the internet ability to exchange courses as well." We can't wait to see all the age-appropriate and completely family-friendly designs that the internet will come up with.

Xump - The Final Run is a simple multi-platform puzzler by Retroguru. Initially released by Psilocybin Development in 2005 the game has been improved in almost every aspect you can imagine. New graphics, new levels, new music, new options, new everything...
Help Holger to clean up deserted space fields. As this is a very dangerous task for a human being a headbot named Xump will be the one who has to suffer. Your main task is to clean all dissolveable tiles on several single-screen levels by simply stepping on them, one by one. Few fields are secured with mines and need a double tap. Mines can be blown up when passing by or demined by Xump when staying on this specific field for a short moment. Certainly the mission sounds easier than it will be.

CaH4e3 updated his site with the following message:
- 4-in-1 YH-481 (20-in-1 KY2001, 228-in-1, 999999-in-1)(Unl)[!]
Super Angry Birds (Unl).
TThanks to Nikita600 for pointing me to this cart. Once again a new game has been found on one of the numerous pirate recent multigame carts. This is not a hack of something and much more interesting than others. The Angry Birds game for famicom not a surprize itself. There is at least one known FC-clone, and a lot more graphical character hacks of licensed games. But this time we have much more advanced clone, and it seems it was ported from Sega Genesis version, or maybe they shares some graphics and interface features. Main difference from other games is that this game uses the almost whole 256Kb ROM for storing DPCM samples used for music and sounds (regular 1-bit DPCM with DMA transfers), so there are no any other FM sounds in this game. The samples quality is very good for DPCM and I'm curious, why they didn't using it all the time, rather than implementing additional hardware PCM DMA channel in OneBus systems (see Gangnam Style recently).
Additionally note, that this cart using regular FK23C board with DIP-switches, and it of course have some additional menus and hidden games, which can be enabled with these menus. One of such menus have also a serial number KY2001, so there should be another cart with the same PCB and ROM, but different DIP-switch shorted.
For convenience I ripped AB as a separate ROM and it should work perfectly on regular mapper 4 board on any emulator.

The initial release of mGBA, version 0.1.0, is here! mGBA aims to be a high-quality Game Boy Advance emulator, and I look forward to getting feedback from the community to make it even higher quality in the future.
A year and a half in development, I’m very happy to announce the impending release of the first version of a brand new Game Boy Advance emulator, written from the ground up in C. Despite being a first version, it’s still very featureful. While the emulator might have been ready for a release months ago, I wanted to polish it to be as good as it could be for the first release. It surely shows.

libertyernie suggested last October the version 2.3.1 of the excellent Game Boy/Game Boy Advance emulator for the nintendo Wii "Visual Boy Advance GX", portage of VBA-M.
Quote:
[2.3.1-October 14, 2014]-libertyernie
* Super Game Boy border support
* Borders can be loaded from (and are automatically saved to) PNG files
* Any border loaded from the game itself will override the custom PNG border
* Custom palette support from 2.2.8 restored
* Option added to select Game Boy hardware (GB/SGB/GBC/auto)
* Fixed pixel ratio mode added
* Overrides zoom and aspect ratio settings
* To squish the picture so it appears correctly on a 16: 9 TV, you can open
the settings.xml file and add 10 to the gbFixed/gbaFixed value. However,
setting your TV to 4:3 mode will yield a better picture.
* Real-time clock fixes for GB/GBC games, including Pokémon G/S/C
* RTC data in save file stored as little-endian
* Option added for UTC offset in the main menu (only required if you use the
same SRAM on other, time-zone-aware platforms)
* New option for selecting "sharp" or "soft" filtering settings
* "Sharp" was the default for 480p, "soft" was the default for 480i

Nintendo’s lead designer Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Nintendo’s next home console is in development and even suggested that Mario’s next game may be a launch title.
“For the time being, our focus is on the Wii U hardware, but Nintendo as a whole has groups working on ideas for new hardware systems,” he told ABC. “While we're busy working on software for the Wii U, we have production lines that are working on ideas for what the next system might be.”
And of Mario he added: “Since we first created Mario, people have compared him to Mickey Mouse. I've always said Mickey Mouse evolved with each evolution in animation. You saw Mickey Mouse each step of the way. From early on, I wanted Mario to be that character in the digital world, so that with each digital evolution, he was there to usher in the next era.
“I think that maybe when we release the next hardware system, you can look forward to seeing Mario take on a new role or in a new game.”
Last May there was a swirl of rumours that Nitnendo would in June reveal some new hardware at E3, although this was denied and of course later proved unfounded.
However that same month Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata confirmed that the company has clear ideasregarding the direction it will take with its next machine. In October it emerged that Nintendo wasstepping up the hunt for next-gen architects.

Nintendo has prevailed in yet another patent lawsuit, this time against Texas company UltimatePointer LLC, regarding a case we first reported on in 2011. UltimatePointer asserted that Nintendo's Wiimote infringed on its patent for an "Easily Deployable Interactive Direct-Pointing System and Presentation Control System and Calibration Method Therefor." In a Seattle federal court, Judge Robert S. Lasnik ruled that the Wiimote does not infringe on UltimatePointer's patent and found that a number of the company's claims were invalid, meaning no trial is required.
Nintendo of America Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Richard Medway offered the following statement about the decision: "We are very pleased with these decisions, which confirmed Nintendo's position from the beginning – we do not, nor have we ever, infringed these patents. The result in this case, once again, demonstrates that Nintendo will continue to vigorously defend its innovations against patent lawsuits, even if it must do so in multiple courts and commit significant resources to defend itself. Nintendo continues to support reform efforts to reduce the unnecessary and inefficient burden patent cases like this one place on technology companies in the United States."
And now this one gets thrown in the "backlinks about Nintendo patent disputes" pile. Electronics company Philips recently won a dispute in the UK against Nintendo regarding the Wii and Wii U's use of a camera and motion-sensing technology. Nintendo plans to appeal the UK decision, and Philips has filed against Nintendo in the US as well.

The two brothers who hacked Mario Kart 8 are at it again, this time setting their sights on the original Wii console. The goal is to add online multiplayer to a number of Wii games. You can never get enough of that when it comes to Nintendo games!
MrBean35000vr (or "Bean" for short) and Chadderz, as they go online, detail their latest modding project at length in the video up top. While the mod is obviously designed for Wiis tricked out with homebrew software, they actually demonstrate the online multiplayer using New Super Mario Bros. Wii on one Wii and another Wii U console.
Using a Wii U to communicate with its predecessor? Now that's pretty cool. Unfortunately, given what the two brothers told me about how much tougher it's been to hack into the Wii U in comparison to its predecessor, I'm not sure that part will end up working out so well for others.
Bean and Chadderz say that they've managed to synchronise data across two separate Wii versions of Super Mario Bros. with few problems on a local network, save for some longer-than-normal load times. Playing together on a local network is an important qualifier, though. While they said that there's "practically no latency" when playing on a single network, there are bigger issues with lag when trying to play together on different networks. Since the mod is still in its early stages, it doesn't sound like they've spent as much time trying to figure that part out yet.
So far, the brothers have managed to get online multiplayer working for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Mario Kart Wii, which lost its official online support earlier this year. They plan to "open source" the project sometime in the future so more homebrew Wii hackers can start to play around with it too. I dunno about you, but I would certainly be interested in some Project M-style projects for Mario Kart Wii since Nintendo has all but cut the cord on the thing.

Shall old acquaintance be forgot
And days of breaking lines
Shall old acquaintance be forgot
And Nintendo is pulling Tetris from 3DS eShop on New Years Eve
Maybe it has something to do with Ubisoft.
Okay, so it's not as catchy as Auld Lang Syne, but it might make you just as weepy. Nintendo has confirmed via its UK Twitter account that the Game Boy version ofTetris, a game that helped define Nintendo's handheld and portable gaming in general, will be pulled from the 3DS eShop on December 31. It appears that Tetris Axis for the 3DS is also being pulled, according to an image from the 3DS eShop news section posted on Twitter.
Nintendo of America has yet to make a similar announcement, and the US eShops make no note of either game being removed, so it's possible that this applies only to the UK. As for why Tetris would be removed from the eShop, it may have something to do with Ubisoft's Tetris Ultimate, which was recently released on 3DS. We've contacted Nintendo of America to confirm if the US version is to be removed as well.
If you'd rather not take your chances, the Game Boy version can still be had for $3.99. Unless, of course, you've somehow managed to keep your old Game Boy in working condition all these years.

Game Boys may be old tech, but they still provide challenges to modern hackers. [Dhole] has come up with a cartridge emulator which uses an STMicroelectronics STM32F4 discovery board to do all the work. Until now, most flash cartridges used programmable logic devices, either CPLDs or FPGAs to handle the high-speed logic requirements. [Alex] proved that a microcontroller could emulate a cartridge by using an Arduino to display the “Nintendo” Game Boy boot logo. The Arduino wasn’t fast enough to actually handle high-speed accesses required for game play.
[Dhole] kicked the speed up by moving to the ARM Cortex-M4 based 168 MHz STM32F4. The F4’s 70 GPIO pins can run via internal peripherals at up to 100MHz, which is plenty to handle the 1MHz clock speed of the Game Boy’s bus. Logic levels are an issue, as the STM32 uses 3.3V logic while the Game Boy is a 5V device. Thankfully the STM32’s inputs are 5V tolerant, so things worked just fine.
Simple Game Boy cartridges like Tetris were able to directly map a ROM device into the Game Boys memory space. More complex titles used Memory Block Controller (MBC) chips to map sections of ROM and perform other duties. There were several MBC chips used for various titles, but [Dhole] can emulate MBC1, which is compatible with the largest code base.
One of the coolest tricks [Dhole] implemented was displaying a custom boot logo. The Game Boy used the “Nintendo” logo as a method of copyright protection. If a cartridge didn’t have the logo, the Game Boy wouldn’t run. The logo is actually read twice – once to check the copyright info, and once to display it on the screen. By telling the emulator to change the data available at those addresses after the first read, any graphic can be displayed.
If you’re wondering what a cartridge emulator would be useful for (other than pirating games), you should check out [Jeff Frohwein’s] Gameboy Dev page! [Jeff] has been involved in Game Boy development since the early days. There are literally decades of demos and homebrew games out there for the Game Boy and various derivatives. .
