Huh. We just might see a Kamen Rider game in North America. No, not the decade in the making clash of Kamen Riders coming to the PlayStation 2. This Kamen Rider game is for the Nintendo DS.
Gamefly has a listing for Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, which is mostly likely based on the Saturday morning kid’s show of the same name. According to the retail listing D3 Publisher is handling the title. There weren’t any Kamen Rider games at their E3 booth, but a representative from D3 told me they have more titles to announce while I was checking out Astro Boy: The Video Game.

June 16th, 2009, 21:27 Posted By: wraggster
Newly released today:
features
Survive event sequences such as furious shoot-outs in abandoned warehouses, chase fleeing criminals down the freeway, and disarm bombs mere seconds from explosion. Or tax your brain with event sequences like finding vital fingerprints, analyzing mysterious evidence, or performing video surveillance to save your partner’s life. The choice is yours, depending on which character you want to follow
Pick your character and watch the story unfold differently, depending on what you do. Choose from Law Martin, the hotheaded action junkie from the Miami PD who’d prefer to shoot first and ask questions later or Sara Starling, the cool, intellectual FBI agent who’s best at analyzing the situation before leaping into the fray. You can even change between the characters at numerous points in the story!
description
Living the life of a detective on the beat is everyone's dream. From using your sharp analytical skills to solve a mystery, to putting your life on the line in an intense shoot-out, or shaking down the bad guy; a detective's life truly seems like life on the edge. Now, Hudson is set to give you a taste of that life with Miami Law, an all new adventure on Nintendo DS™ that will have you saving the world with your fingertips!
Miami Law is an action-adventure game packed with all of the ingredients of a prime-time TV show: an intricate storyline with a shadowy terrorist conspiracy, furious shoot-outs in abandoned warehouses, challenging crime-scene detective work and more. Players will have many opportunities to choose their path and change the story – either as the intense Law Martin from the Miami PD or the brainy Sara Starling from the FBI.
Players will be presented with different challenges depending on which character they pick – playing as Sara will feature a puzzle-based element, whereas playing with Law will thrust the player into the action, often into car chases or shoot-outs where taking out the bad guys is the only way to get results. Unlockable extras, including Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and Sudoku, are included to take the pressure off players when the tension gets thick.

Just great, more hue-enhanced Wii hardware that we in North America will very likely never get. After teasing us with that kuro (i.e. jet black) Wii and matching classic controller, Nintendo's announced a light blue sleeved Wii remote, nunchuk, and motion plus set that'll be given out to five thousand members of its Japanese Club Nintendo program who have registered Wii Sports Resort. Historically, Club Nintendo gifts have only made their way stateside via unofficial channels, so if you're desperate for a non-white peripheral and using paint is absolutely out of the question, we suggest you keep a close eye on eBay and hope the House that Mario Built takes a cue from its portable line sooner rather than later.

Face it, not all mods are created equal. Take this SNES PC Case Mod, for instance, built by quangDX and DuPPs (their real names? we think not). Sure, they could've just crammed some PC guts in there and called it a day, but with love, care and some Lego spacers, they've crafted a true piece of art. The gutted Super Mario World cartridge acts as a slot-loading CD drive, there's a perfect lineup of connectivity in the back, and the real piece of magic: USB extenders disguised as regular controller plugs, and a reworked SNES controller to plug into 'em. The main guts are courtesy of an Acer Aspire One, and even the webcam and mic have been crammed into the front of that poor shredded cartridge. This is how it's done, folks.

Nintendo DS owners that pre-order the limited edition game Strike Witches will be treated to a pouch shaped like Bloomers (buruma) shorts—the shorts traditionally worn in gym by Japanese schoolgirls.
Before you ask...no, they are not wearable. No, don't bother sniffing them. At least in the US, very few people will pick up on just how perverted this all really is—unless, they were a big fan of wrestling back in the day that is.

Nyko and Mad Catz are a virtual tie when it comes to buttons. As different as the buttons may look, neither set feels all that different from the Wiimote during play. I will say, I prefer the B button (triggers) on both third party remotes to the Wiimote's. There is a little more pull in each that feels just right for gun games like HOTD.
As for special tricks, Mad Catz includes none, but Nyko's Trans-Port technology allows their Wand to communicate with peripherals electronically. I've used their version of the Zapper, and without a mechanical link between peripheral and remote buttons, it feels better than Nintendo's official version. But we don't know how many peripherals will take advantage of Trans-Port, and besides, only Nyko will support the system.
Winner: Wiimote, Runner Up: Nyko Wand
After years without a proper fake Wiimote to suck some cash away from Nintendo, two titans of third party peripherals have produced their own respectable knockoffs. And I'm really glad this development has happened. Even if neither is cheap (the Nyko Wand is $35 while the Mad Catz Wireless Remote is $30), they do put at least a little pressure on Nintendo, who charges a straight up insulting $60 for their Wiimote/Nunchuk combo.
But given Mad Catz' sudden dealbreaker issue with the IR and Nyko's ever-so-less fluid IR experience and initial issues with Wii MotionPlus, we're still going to recommend the good old Nintendo Wiimote—that is, unless Mad Catz and Nyko get a little more price-competitive.
And who woulda thunk, our verdict had nothing to do with accelerometers?

Developer EnjoyUp Games has announced that it's making a WiiWare version of its DS platform game Chronos Twins.
As with the original, in Chronos Twins DX you'll control past and future versions of lead character Nec, navigating platform and puzzle challenges in two timelines simultaneously.
The idea was original and intriguing enough to earn the DS game a respectable 7/10 from us at review, although it remains to be seen how well its twin-screen presentation will translate to the Wii.
Chronos Twins DX is "coming soon", according to the press release, and EnjoyUp will self-publish the game.

Whilst Ubisoft also sees Far Cry 2 entering both Platinum and Classic discount software ranges
Publisher Ubisoft has announced that light-hearted brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Smash Up will be released for the Nintendo Wii on September 25th in the UK and Europe.
The game, which is very much in the Super Smash Bros mould, allows four players to take each other on using a number of the franchise’s most popular characters including Shredder, Splinter and the four heroes in a half-shell – Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.
In addition, it has also been confirmed that next-gen shooter Far Cry 2 is heading to the discount software ranges of both Xbox 360 and PS3, with the Classic and Platinum versions due for release on June 26th.

News from Tomdev
hey everyone,
i made a sprite lib for making it easier to load sprites with libnds(and animate, just a bunch sprite functions). if you want to try it look at my page:
https://sites.google.com/site/tomdevsndshomebrew/
some interesting stuff:
the lib can only load sprites from filesystems(such as fat and nitrofs, nitrofs is used in the example). so no more trouble with including sprites into your code.
please give some review, and yes i know it's not that well coded but i'm only 14 yet and still learning C....
note:
you've to install the newest libnds to get this working and if you want to run the rom run it on no$gba or load it with this special loader: http://devkitpro.svn.sourceforge.net.../HomebrewMenu/ because it uses argv
you can convert sprites to binary format with grit. if you're not a proffesional with command line tools you can also use grit's frontend: wingrit
