A translation has been released for “The Stories of Ihatovo,” an adventure game originally released in 1993 for the Super Famicom. The game focuses on several short stories written by the elusive Kenji Miyazawa.
The translation patch is available in both .bps and .ips format. Patching the Japanese rom will allow the game to be played in American English.
The hacking was done by DDSTranslation, the script was translated by Tom, and the title screen and in-game graphics were handled by FlashPV.

First of, best wishes to everyone for the new year!
We're starting of 2019 with a bang as we jump back exactly 21 years in time to January of 1998 with issue 10 of N64 Magazine. This issue took quite a bit of work, especially the cover which took 6+ hours to get right. You can see the evolution of this cover at the bottom of our Restoration Process feature.
So let's take a look what's inside this issue.
We start of with a massive 16 page cover story: the review for Rare's classic kart racer Diddy Kong Racing.
We then move on to a little less celebrated game called Chameleon Twist. And then look at Duke Nukem 64.
Finally we look at the Japanese exclusive Puyo Puyo 64, and we finish up with a guide that tries to explain what this weir little Game Boy game called Pocket Monsters is, and why people seem to like it quite a bit, despite being a 2 year old game on an 8-bit system in 1998.
Enjoy!

Stevice10's homebrew app FBI, the popular title installer for the 3DS, just received an update. With it, TLS v1.2 support was added to the application, making it possible to download files from websites that no longer support older versions of the standards—a significant issue for many apps when GitHub announced it would only support the aforementioned specification from February of last year. On a more minor note, support for TitleDB, a way for users to download and install homebrew directly to their console, has been removed after the service was discontinued for unknown reasons last month.
While many were sad to see TitleDB go, TLS v1.2 support should be a welcome addition, restoring all available remote installation functions for many projects hosted on GitHub. Download speeds will be slower than usual when downloading from a website that doesn't support the older standards as FBI will use its own network stack instead of the one provided by Nintendo, however it will fall back to it whenever possible as it will provide better download speeds. Faster downloads for TLS v1.2 websites may come in the future as the author stated he's looking into what's causing the issue.
It should be noted that in order to install this update you must do so manually as the built-in update function is broken due to the old TitleDB servers being down.

Rayark Games‘ rhythm game, Deemo, was officially launched for the Nintendo Switch in Japan last October. Now, Flyhigh Works announced that they will be releasing a free update for the game with its version 1.5 that is due out in late January, which was announced during the Flyhigh Express End-of-Year Special 2018.
The new update will add several new pieces of music as well as a musical sheet on the screen whenever players get their head on the game with the Toy-Con Piano.
Plus, you can check out the additional information below about the upcoming update for Deemo, via Circle Entertainment/Flyhigh Works.
“Also, another Rayark title already available on Nintendo Switch, Deemo, has a notable update on the way. Version 1.5 will add the Team Grimoire Collection (5 new songs), and also 10 additional tracks will be added to the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Collection (playable with the Labo piano). We’ve appreciated the response to the Labo Toy-Con support in Deemo, and hope players will enjoy playing 10 more songs on the device when this update launches in the near future.”
Game Overview
Deemo is a simple rhythm game that takes place in a fantasy world filled with rich imagery. Hit the notes that stream toward the screen in time with the beat. The system of the game is easy to master, and you can enjoy playing this game as much as you enjoy playing the piano.
There are more than 200 pieces of songs for you to choose from, with difficulty levels from Easy to Normal and Hard. Also, the developer has plans to add even more music in the game through future free updates. Deemo is a rhythm game that is suitable for both novice and experienced players who are up for more challenge.
The game’s music is composed mostly by Taiwanese and Japanese composers, with a diverse variety of vocal and instrumental songs, crossing a vast array of genres.
Furthermore, this version also features controller support for TV mode and table mode in addition to the touchscreen-supported handheld mode.
Story
Deemo is a strange being who lives alone in a castle, playing the piano to itself. One day, his solitude was disturbed by a little girl with no memory who falls down from the sky. All of a sudden, Deemo feels constrained to help her get home back to her world.
While looking for a way to get her back from where she belongs, Deemo notices a small sprout which grows the more song is performed. If Deemo is able to make it grow into a tree, tall enough so it would reach the window in the ceiling, she may just be able to get home.
As the two interacts, Deemo discovers what it feels to have a companion. What awaits the two when the little girl recovers her memory? Are you ready to witness this somewhat peculiar and touching tale?

We hope you've all had a smooth transition into the year 2019. Your friends from Team-Xecuter would like to kick off the new year with a small update to SX OS.
Lets waste no time and see what's new in 2.5.1:- LayeredFS compatibility fixes
It appears we introduced a regression in "LayeredFS" support in 2.5.0. This affected certain game mods like fan translations. This has been tracked down and fixed!
- Improved Internet Local Wireless Play
Numerous stability fixes and improvements have been made to the Internet Local Wireless Play functionality.
- Fixed false positive 'corrupted' message for installer
The Switch software management menu has an option for verifying the integrity of installed titles. When using this functionality with titles that have been installed through our NSP installer you would always get a message saying the title data is corrupt. This was mostly a false positive as the installed titles worked fine.. but we've hunted down the root cause of this and fixed this cosmetic shortcoming for all new installs!
- Add support for installing XCI
You read it right, as of now you can also *install* titles that come in XCI format, just as you would be able to do for any content that comes in NSP format. This is useful for people who would like to access all of their games from the home menu screen instead of going through our menu. Of course you can still play XCI titles without installing as well!
That's it for today. The year is still young. Hang in there to see what we are cooking up in our labs!

Nintendo's future could lie away form the home console market, according to president Shuntaro Furukawa.
Speaking in a recent interview with Nikkei (translation via Nintendo Everything), Shuntaro mused on the "innovation dilemma" brought on by Nintendo's previous successes.
"We aren't really fixated on our consoles," he said. "At the moment we're offering the uniquely developed Nintendo Switch and its software - and that's what we're basing how we deliver the 'Nintendo experience' on.
"That being said, technology changes. We'll continue to think flexibly about how to deliver that experience as time goes on.
"It has been over 30 years since we started developing consoles. Nintendo's history goes back even farther than that, and through all the struggles that they faced the only thing that they thought about was what to make next.
"In the long-term, perhaps our focus as a business could shift away from home consoles - flexibility is just as important as ingenuity."
Despite concerns that the Nintendo Switch began losing steam last year, it is still the company's fastest-selling console, with revenue recently hitting historic levels in the US.
Given that, it seems unlikely Nintendo will be deliberately moving away from the console market anytime soon, with several analysts expecting a "Pro" or "Lite" version of the console to launch sometime this year.
However, the company's exploration of mobile demonstrates that flexible thinking touted by Shuntaro, despite somewhat mixed results.
Fire Emblem: Heroes has been doing solid numbers since launching nearly two years ago, while mobile exclusive IP Dragalia Lost has proven an interesting endeavour, generation exceptionally high revenue per install.

Joel16 has updated his Shell App for the 3DS:
Before installing this update, please delete your config file located in /3DS/3DShell/config.cfg. This release will automatically handle this for you in future releases if entries are modified in the config file. You can also update straight from 3DShell, by tapping the download icon (Updates menu) and updating via the official release build option
Minor clean-up with audio functions, config file and .ZIP extraction, removed deprecated functions. (Also built using the latest citro2d and libctru.)
Improved music lock texture.
Added battery icons to status bar.
Add ability to extract .RAR archives.
Add "More..." option in file options.
Added the ability to refresh directory list.
Added the ability to create new files.
Cancel button can be accessed via buttons.
Minor fixes with handling UTF-16 filenames.
Added a W.I.P text file reader for small config files. (This is very basic at the moment. I simply implemented this for reading log files straight from the 3DS).
Handle config versions (At the moment, you'll need to delete your config file located in /3DS/3DShell/config.cfg, however after this update this will no longer be necessary with future releases).
Fixed buffer overflow when selecting a file with a long file path using multi-select.
Fixed copying files/folders between different archives sd <-> nand.
UTF16 file names are now properly handled when copying/pasting files.
Added the ability to zoom into image if < 400x240. (c-stick or D-PAD to zoom, circle pad to position image).
Improved executable file icon. (The previous one didn't work well with the dark theme mode).
Added an error display dialog if any issue occurs with FS or archive related functions.
Fixed OPUS support.

BernardoGiordano offers version 3.6.0 of " Checkpoint ", excellent backup manager for nintendo switch
Switch: What's new
Added: a bridge functionality between Checkpoint for Switch and PKSM (for 3DS, v6.0.0 and above) has been implemented.
It allows to send (and then receive back) a save file over the network, to allow manipulations without having to browse your save backups manually on your PC.
It also needs to be manually enabled by editing your configuration file. Once it's enabled, you can access the bridge by pressing L+R on a valid game.
This feature currently works only with LGPE.
Fixed: buttons are now responsive as before while navigating the UI.
Fixed: titles with black background are now displayed properly.
Fixed: checkmark color doesn't confuse with title icons anymore.
Fixed: text doesn't bleed textboxes like before anymore.

Today, the Humble Store began selling Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch digital titles in addition to its usual offerings of titles for PC, Android, Mac, and Linux. These are only available in the US at this time.
Digital codes for over forty titles are now available in the storefront across the two platforms, largely first-party titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The 3DS side of the store also includes Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Sun and Moon, and previously eShop-only titles Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, and The Legend of Zelda.
In addition, users can purchase a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for either a three or 12-month period. At the moment, prices for all games and subscriptions appear to be the same as they are through other storefronts such as the Nintendo Switch eShop, at retail, and digitally through Amazon.
Humble has included Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles in past collaboration bundles with Nintendo, but never first-party titles. At the moment, there is no word on whether this means Nintendo Switch first-party titles will be in future Humble Bundles or a part of special sales.

higan v106r73 is released. higan (formerly bsnes) is a Nintendo multi-system emulator that began development on 2004-10-14. It currently supports the following systems:
- Famicom
- Super Famicom
- Game Boy
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
higan also supports the following subsystems:
- Super Game Boy
- BS-X Satellaview
- Sufami Turbo
higan Changelog:
* Update to v106r73 release.
byuu says:
This probably won't fix the use of register yet (I imagine ruby and hiro
will complain now), but ... oh well, it's a start. We'll get it
compiling again eventually.
I added JP, JR, JRL, LD instructions this time around. I'm also starting
to feel that Byte, Word, Long labels for the TLCS900H aren't really
working. There's cases of needing uint24, int8, int16, ... it may just
be better to name the types instead of trying to be fancy.
At this point, all of the easy instructions are in. Now it's down to a
whole lot of very awkward bit-manipulation and special-use instructions.
Sigh.

Since the mid-80s, Super Mario is a part of many people’s childhood memories. While the younger generations may know the game through Super Mario Odyssey and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Switch; the older gamers may have played it on the good old consoles such as NES, GameBoy, SNES, or even on the N64. Titles like Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64 are still played by many people all around the world; making this Italian-American pipe cleaner(d) one of the most renowned pop-icons. Appearing also in cartoons, live-action movies, and an incalculable amount of gadgets Mario (with the help of his twin brother Luigi) saved kingdoms, traveled among the galaxies, and rescue princesses! Maybe not everyone knows that his debut on the global scene is in the 1981 game Donkey Kong. At that time he was a carpenter named Jumpman whose mission was to rescue the damsel in distress Pauline from the giant Donkey Kong.
But it’s only in 1985 with the release of Super Mario Bros. for NES that he started to grow in popularity; appearing in more than 250 different video games who crowned him as the one and only king of the video game industry. Consider also that in the early 90s Mario was more popular than Mickey Mouse among the American children.
Now, it’s time to create brand new childhood memories; gather your kids, siblings, and parents around, because New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is arriving on Nintendo Switch!
You know that plumbers and the princesses are some unlikely pairings in reality, but in the magical Mushroom Kingdom, anything and everything could happen.
In this premium edition of the classic adventure originally released for WiiU in 2012; Mario, Luigi, Toad, Nabbit, and for the first time on screen, Toadette must run, jump, and smash all the Bowser’s minions in a quest of epic proportions to ensure the safety of the whole universe.
Explore, and clear more than 160 courses lovely filled with cute monsters, dangerous traps, and thousands of great challenges squirmed out of Bowser‘s twisted brain.
Alone or with the help of up to three friends, get yourself ready to climb mountains, cross rivers, and descend into subterranean depths. Destroy the seven Koopalings castles and find keys to gain entrance to hidden levels. Because in keeping with Super Mario tradition even in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Switch you can discover more warps and thrilling bonus worlds than ever before!
In addition, if you’re determined to go green, Nintendo has implemented the New Super Luigi U add-on in which Luigi will show you all his unique abilities!
Which ones you said?! Well, first of all, he can jump much higher and further than Mario. He can cross chasms and reach platforms that Mario never could in a single jump. And many other skills that you can witness only clear all the levels of this precious B-side of the main game.
Discover how an Italian plumber took over the world playing with New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Nintendo Switch. Get ready for a huge dose of bouncy action and family fun digitally or physically…Mamma Mia!

After several years of painstaking work Pennywise, catfoodmoney, and team have finished a retranslation of the Gameboy classic RPG known as Gargoyle’s Quest in North America. As is typical of Pennywise’s work, significant care was taken to ensure everything looks as good as possible with significant work to the menus and even a title screen translation courtesy of FlashPV.
The original translation was reportedly heavily abbreviated, something this retranslation doesn’t suffer from. If you’re a fan of the series or just looking for a classic portable RPG to dig into, this is a great place to start!

Those people can rejoice, SX OS v2.5.2 is an officially supported stable release! This means that both the stable and beta channels are fully in sync now; feature- and functionality-wise.
This release addresses two small bugs:- Fixed issue with installing split XCI / NSP
Some split content file sizes were causing issues for some people, this is no longer the case!
- Fixed issue with deleting files after XCI / NSP installation
Deleting the original XCI/NSP files after installation was introducing some crashes and side effects for certain users. We investigated this issue and are happy to let you know its now a thing of the past!
That's it for today, people. Keep an eye out for our coming updates!

Nintendo was the UK's biggest publisher of physical games in December.
The UKIE/GfK report revealed that over 30 per cent of all games sold in December were on Nintendo platforms (29.5 per cent on Nintendo Switch alone). It made the console the No.2 most popular platform behind PS4, which accounted for 39.7 per cent of all games sold last month.
Nintendo's success was driven by Super Smash Bros Ultimate, which was the biggest new release of the month and shifted 284,155 games in physical form alone.
However, it wasn't the best-selling game of December. The top selling titles were Red Dead Redemption 2 at No.1, followed by FIFA 19 and then Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Smash Bros had to settle for No.4.
It was one of two Nintendo games in the Top Ten, with Mario Kart 8: Deluxe at No.7. Pokémon Let's Go: Pikachu also sold well reaching No.12, and if sales had been combined with its Eevee sister edition, the game would have reached No.8.
Overall, Nintendo-published games accounted for 19.3 per cent of all games sold, ahead of EA, which accounted for 13.6 per cent (driven primarily by FIFA 19 and Battlefield V).

Yu Suzuki!
This is the name of one of the legends who made the video game industry what it is today. Designer, programmer, producer, and engineer, he headed the AM2 department releasing some of the greatest titles ever published by SEGA.
Games like Space Harrier, Hang-On, After Burner, Virtua Fighter, and Shenmue lead him to be globally considered one of the most important figures in the whole scene. But other than these, there’s a specific game who is considered his masterpiece, and that 33 years after its original release is still very popular among gamers of all ages. Obviously, we’re talking about OutRun!
Pioneering non-linear gameplay, selectable soundtrack, and a state-of-the-art graphics style, OutRun is one of the best selling games ever. Appeared in Japanese arcades in 1986, this innovative high action road racing adventure sees the player race across the world at the incredible speed of 270 Km/H; released in three versions: deluxe, standard and upright cabinets OutRun was present in every arcade worthy of that name. And due to its incredible success, it has been ported for all the systems of that era including MSX, Commodore 64, Amiga, PC-Engine, Sega Mega Drive and many others. Followed by a large number of sequels, it is also present in modern titles like Yakuza 0, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise!
But if you’re a Nintendo Switch owner, and you need for speed, today is your lucky day! Yes, because OutRun is finally out on Nintendo eShop!
Turn the ignition, and step on the gas of your shiny red Ferrari Testarossa Spider; several thousands of kilometers just waiting for the burning rubbers, they’ll lead you to one of the five endings that will crown you as the fastest racer of the world.
In OutRun for Switch, you can feel all the speed, the thrills, and the wind in your hair directly from the 80s; accompanied by the wonderful soundtrack composed by Hiroshi Kawaguchi this gem tests your nerves, reflexes, and your driving skills to unbelievable limits!
Roar over the asphalt, drive through the devil’s canyon, slip ‘n’ slide on the wheat field, and across the line, but be careful…even if absolutely exciting, OutRun for Switch is not an easy ride, ’cause hordes of screaming-fast cars will try to throw you off the road.
Now stop talking; do you have what it takes to come out on top? Discover it with this digital-only retro gem…all is up to you.
You’re cool & the engine is hot! Get geared for the ride of your life!

If you are into Sonic style games then na_th_an‘s latest NES homebrew project Espitene is clearly for you. The game has 12 regular stages and 6 boss stages. Collect emeralds and rings, avoid enemies and take care of the big bad ones.
Right now this game is in beta stage, so count with a few irregularities here and there but overall it’s a solid upcoming Mojon Twins production, created with their very own AGNES engine.

If you’re a Tomb Raider fan, then you’ll love this one as OpenLara is an open-source multi-platform game engine for the 1996 Tomb Raider game that started the whole Lara Croft franchise.
The person behind this game engine is XPronger and it’s still in development but it seems to work pretty well since it runs buttery smooth, has audio support and also supports running at higher resolutions among other features.
The Switch port, which was done by OpenLara’s developer, landed yesterday (January 9) and from some videos showing it in action, it seems to run pretty well in both docked/undocked mode and it even supports touch controls for playing without the joycons!
In order to play some upscaled buttery-smooth Tomb Raider on your Switch, grab the NRO/NACP files from this link and copy your game files to /switch/OpenLara on your SD card. If you don’t have a Switch but still want to try OpenLara, you can check it out through a WebGL build found here.

A few days ago, m4xw, who is a Switch developer, told us about recent progress on the dynamic recompiler being ported for N64 emulation on the Switch. A short while later, he shared an NRO file of the BETA Mupen64Plus RetroArch core the dynarec is implemented in so that you could try out the dynarec on your own device.
Obviously, the dynarec translates into great performance improvements due to more efficient CPU emulation. Furthermore, it could let you run games at a higher resolution while still maintaining good speeds so even if the games you want to play run well, the dynarec still has something to offer. Among the games that Reddit users have reported to be working pretty well we find:
- Diddy Kong Racing
- Mario 64
- Super Smash Bros
- Yoshi’s Story
- Some ROM hacks like Banjo Dreamie
- It’s important to note that some titles don’t work with the dynamic recompiler as it’s still in development so crashes/issues are to be expected!
The dynarec will soon be part of Mupen64Plus nightlies created by the libretro buildbot so you should also stay tuned for those!

Until recently, the Nintendo Switch didn’t have a proper video player although work was being done on various fronts to let you play on the Switch. First, there was PlayerNX in September which let you watch videos, with varying success, but it didn’t have audio so you were stuck with silent films. Then, Joel16 released a development build of NX-Shell with a rudimentary video player that worked much better and had audio but was quite lacking in the control department.
Shortly after the NX-Shell build with the built-in video player was released, Cpasjuste shared his work on the video player he had been working on that’s called pPlay. Now, it is by far the best solution to play videos on your Switch as it has good video support (works with most 720p files and some 1080p ones), subtitle support, HTTP streaming support and also a nice UI. Thankfully, Cpasjuste is still working on making it better and has updated to version 1.3 which brings along:
- Improved audio decoding code which should fix some audio desynchronisation issues
- A status bar with the time and battery level got added
- A pPlay title image was added
- Scanning the media folder is now more reliable as some bugs that occurred while pPlay searched for videos have been squashed
To grab pPlay 1.3, check out this link and install the NRO file on your Switch. Make sure you use an NSP HBL to give the homebrew ample memory for best results!

Nintendo has revealed the rankings of the most popular titles on its console for the past twelve months, with Epic Games' Fortnite ahead of the pack.
Released via the Switch's news channel, this list takes into account all the time spent by Switch owners with a European account, listing the games in order of most played.
Unfortunately, Nintendo does not disclose how much time each title accumulated among Switch owners, but Fortnite stands proudly at the top -- as perhaps might be expected of the worldwide phenomenon.
The game was given a surprise launch on Switch during E3 2018, which gives it hefty headstart over later releases such as Pokémon Let's Go and Smash Bros. But its enduring popularity proves the game to be one that appeals to Nintendo's audience.
The rest of the Top 21 (it's not clear why Nintendo opted for 21 titles rather than a nice round 20) is largely familiar territory. As always, first-party titles dominate, accounting for 11 titles (12 if you count Ubisoft's Mario-fronted Rabbids title).
However it's interesting to see that of the Top 10, only four games are 2018 releases.

Cpasjutse has updated his multimedia player for Nintendo Switch:
Hi, i can't wait anymore, i need to share my progress, or at least, a little video of it. The player should be out soon (a week), just for Christmas.
So, here it is! Happy Christmas
Please, be sure to read the (minimal) README !
You should really use an NSP HBL (HomeBrew Loader) to unleash all switch memory to launch pPlay, else you'll have some memory problem/crash: https://gbatemp.net/threads/homebrew-me ... sp.518433/
Alternatively if you are using Atmosphere, you can press (R) when launching a game, this will load the HBL (HomeBrew Loader) with all memory unlocked.
v1.4
implement threading (major speed improvement)!
fix date format in status bar
fix status bar not hidden on timeout hide
set lower buffering option by default (thanks threading)
v1.3
improve audio decoding (fix some audio desynchronization, most 720p media seems to works fine even with medium buffering, this also fix some audio seeking problem in some media)
add status bar (time and battery)
add crappy "pPlay" title image
fix some random crashes when scanning media folder

Those that have access to Nintendo Switch Online are likely familiar with the included NES titles with the subscription. Though Nintendo adds a handful of new games to the lineup each month (Zelda 2 and Blaster Master are Jan. 2019's new additions) many fans have been clamoring for Super Nintendo games to also be added. While nothing has been officially stated at this time, it seems a datamine might have let the cat out of the bag a little early, as Twitter user KapuccinoHeck has discovered a list of 22 SNES games within the data for the NES Online app, which were reportedly added in the last Switch software update. The 22 titles are as follows:
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Soccer
- Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
- Demon's Crest
- Yoshi's Island
- Stunt Race FX
- Kirby's Dream Course
- Pop'n Twinbee
- Star Fox
- Contra 3
- Kirby Super Star
- Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
- Kirby's Dreamland 3
- Super Metroid
- Super Mario World
- Pilotwings
- F-Zero
- Star Fox 2
- Super Punch Out!
- The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
- Super Mario All Stars
- Breath of Fire 2
This list manages to differ from what the SNES Classic offers, with Final Fantasy VI, Super Mario RPG, Castlevania IV, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man X, Earthbound, and Secret of Mana missing from what would supposedly be given through the Nintendo Switch Online service. However, these titles could be planned for future monthly updates rather than being rolled out all at once. Presumably, since the NES games have extra features, such as online play and save states, these would be carried over to the SNES games as well. At the time of writing, though, nothing is concrete, and the list is merely a datamine with unconfirmed information.

Last year, we’ve learned that Red Entertainment-developed visual novel, Our World is Ended will be released in Japan by 5pb. as Judgement 7: Our World is Ended on February 28 for PS4 and Switch in both physical and digital versions.
But worry not though English speaking fans, PQube announced that they have acquired the publishing rights to release Our World is Ended to the West for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. And guess what? Publisher PQube already announced the concrete release date for the game. Europe will get the March 22 release date while North America gets the March 26 launch date.
And recently, the first trailer for the game has been released by 5pb, which you can find below. However, since 5pb released the video, it’s directed for the Japanese fans. Watch the video below.
Have you ever imagine what our world would be like if it has been overwritten by a catastrophic video game? If you haven’t thought of that, well, let Our World is Ended tell you what this thing is all about.
Our World is Ended focuses on a group of eccentric game developers known as Judgement 7 who is working on a new project called, W.O.R.L.D program. When wearing an Augmented Reality headset, this innovative program transforms the landscape in real time.
One day, when the game part-time director, Reiji, tries the program in the streets of Asakusa, an unsettling cityscape meets his eye. Could this be a glitch or something that provokes an unfortunate event?
As the game progresses, Reiji soon realizes that he and his team are trapped between augmented reality and the real world. Characters and creatures from their previous games have breached this world and now has the chance of conquering the real world.
The city is on the brink of being overwritten and its fate is in your hands. Are you ready to join Judgement 7 in their battle to reclaim the world?

higan v106r79 is released. higan (formerly bsnes) is a Nintendo multi-system emulator that began development on 2004-10-14. It currently supports the following systems:
- Famicom
- Super Famicom
- Game Boy
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
higan also supports the following subsystems:
- Super Game Boy
- BS-X Satellaview
- Sufami Turbo
higan Changelog:
* Update to v106r79 release.
byuu says:
This WIP is just work on nall/primitives ...
Basically, I'm coming to the conclusion that it's just not practical to
try and make Natural/Integer implicitly castable to primitive signed and
unsigned integers. C++ just has too many edge cases there.
I also want to get away from the problem of C++ deciding that all math
operations return 32-bit values, unless one of the parameters is 64-bit,
in which case you get a 64-bit value. You know, so things like
array[-1] won't end up accessing the 4 billionth element of the array.
It's nice to be fancy and minimally size operations (eg 32-bit+32-bit =
33-bit), but it's just too unintuitive. I think all
Natural+Natural expessions should result in a Natural (eg
natural) type.
nall/primitives/operators.hpp has been removed, and new
Natural<>Natural / Integer<>Integer casts exist. My feeling is that
signed and unsigned types should not be implicitly convertible where
data loss can occur. In the future, I think an integer8*natural8 is
fine to return an integer64, and the bitwise operators are probably all
fine between the two types. I could probably add
(Integer,Natural)+Boolean conversions as well.
To simplify expressions, there are new user-defined literals for _b
(boolean), _n (natural), _i (integer), _r (real), _n# (eg _n8),
_i# (eg _i8), _r# (eg _r32), and _s (nall::string).
In the long-term, my intention is to make the conversion and cast
constructors explicit for primitive types, but obviously that'll shatter
most of higan, so for now that won't be the case.
Something I can do in the future is allow implicit conversion and
casting to (u)int64_t. That may be a nice balance.

puNES v0.103 is released. puNES is a NES emulator. Currently the program supports mappers 0, MMC1, UNROM, CNROM, and the sound is available. It uses the SDL libraries and it works on both Linux and Windows.
puNES v0.103 Changelog
- Added support for the UNIF mapper UNIF DREAMTECH01.
- Fixed mapper MMC5 and 213.
- Added support for NSFe format.
- Added OpenBSD support.
- Added support for IPS, BPS and XDELTA patches.
It's possible to patch the ROM through 3 ways:
rename the patch with the same name as the ROM and copy it to the same directory where the ROM is present (example: if "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].nes" is the name of the ROM, rename the patch in "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].ips")
drag it to the emulator window (compressed patches are supported)
apply it via the "Apply Patch" item in the File menu (compressed patches are supported)
If more than one patch is present in the compressed file, it will always be possible to select which one to apply. In order to automatically apply a patch to a ROM, in addition to method 1) it is also possible to create a compressed archive that contains both the ROM and the patch. In this case the name of the ips file isn't important (example : compressed file contain "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].nes" and "adv.ips").
- Rewritten the UI for the settings.
- Added the compatibility of the UI for High DPI.
- Rewritten and uniformed GFX stack.
- Increased performance by 20%/30%.
- Dropped out dependencies from SDL and QT4 libraries.
- Now it's necessary that QT5 have compiled with support for SVG (and OpenGL for OpenGL version).
- Fixed the management of VSync (when you change this option you need to restart the emulator to apply it correctly).
- Added the ability to change shader parameters if supported by the shader.
- Added a palette editor.
- Added in Video Settings an option to show FPS.
- Eliminated a lot of unnecessary code.
- Fixed many many bugs and increased the accuracy of emulation.

Introducing Fluffy
A GUI for TinFoil - Works On All Firmware and TinFoil Versions
Since both TUG and AluminumFoil didn't work for me. At all. I created from scratch Fluffy.
So what's different then?
Fluffy is the first to introduce:
•Progress bar support
•Show current NSP being installed
•Switch connected indicator
•Does not depend on PyQt. Only dependency is PyUSB.
•Single script does all (UI merged with USB_Install_PC.py)
Additionally, Fluffy is compatible with both Firmware version 5.x and 6.x.
Fixes for the USB bug in 5.x was patched.
GitHub:
https://github.com/fourminute/Fluffy
Latest Release(v1.1)
https://github.com/fourminute/Fluffy/releases/tag/v1.1
Recommended TinFoil.nro (Though, any of them with 'USB' support should work)
https://github.com/fourminute/Fluffy...er/Tinfoil.nro
Why create a new one? It was necessary, I'll explain:
In order to fully implement these features and 5.x USB support and to be fully independent from PyQt. It made starting from scratch mandatory. Instead of making a pull request, I went with my own repository.
With Fluffy I've successfully installed at least 10 NSPs going without failure.
How-To-Use:
Install Python 3.x from https://www.python.org/downloads/
Install PyUSB
•Open CMD or Terminal
•Enter command: pip3 install pyusb
Double-click on Fluffy.pyw!
Going forward,
I plan to support Fluffy for the foreseeable future.
I hope this tool can help anyone and everyone that uses it,
fourminute

Looking at various sales reports from different regions over the last month, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is enjoying a number of top spots following its December launch. And globally, those numbers add up.
As shared by Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto on Twitter, Japanese daily newspaper Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun ran a brief interview with Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa today in which Furukawa revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold over five million copies globally in its first week.
That figure should come as no surprise after the game landed as the fastest-selling Smash Bros. game in the UK, topped the EMEAA region charts in its debut week, sold three million copies in the US alone in the first eleven days, and sold 1.24 million copies in three days in Japan alone.
Later in the interview, Furukawa also mentioned that Nintendo Switch software sales are unprecedented for Nintendo - apparently the fastest so far in Nintendo's history for a home console.

DCEmu Coder Jayenkai has released a new homebrew game for the Nintendo 2DS/3DS:
This is a sequel to a game I made back in 2015, which was loosely based on the 8-bit classic Cybernoid.
Fly around the maze in your bubble-bot vehicle, blasting away enemy craft, and destroying the barrels in search of the three floppy disks which can be taken back to your hub to save each level.
Your primary weapon is a simple little lazer, but you also have a selection of 4 other weapons that you can gather up ammo for, along the way.
Use your secondary weapons sparingly as you explore, and beware of all the baddies.
Keep enough distance between you and the barrels that you aren't ambushed.

Captain Claw is a side-scrolling action platformer released on PCs by Monolith in 1997. The difficulty of the game is quite high, but still the game is really fun to play. Your goal is to defeat enemies, collect treasure and defeat bosses on your way. More about the game here:
Controls:
A - Fire (Pistol/Magic Claw/Dynamite)
B - Jump
X - Switch weapon
Y - Melee attack
Minus - open in-game menu
D-Pad - walk left/right, look up/down, climb up/down
You can also use the left analog to do anything the d-pad does, but it's still a bit wacky and not recommended.
There are also touch controls emulating the d-pad, which are leftovers from the Android version. They will be removed in a next beta release.
Bugs:
- not all levels are yet implemented, the game is playable to the 10th level, 11 is playable but very buggy and not yet complete
- analog controls are wacky (use the d-pad)
- music does not yet work, but in-game sounds do
- FPS drops to 55 in docked mode, making the sound a bit distorted
Cheats:
You can modify your game saves by editing /switch/claw/SAVES.XML file.
Installation:
OpenClaw.nro needs to be in the /switch/claw/ directory with all other files and assets needed to run the game.
WARNING: You need to run the game from a hbmenu NSP, it will not work from Album! (it will make the system crash)
Download:
All versions will be available here: https://github.com/djmuted/ClawSwitch/releases

Super Mario Advance 4 is an enhanced remake of the NES game Super Mario Brothers 3, released for the GBA. The NES original, and its SNES remake which this shares something of a codebase with, is often considered one of the best 2d Mario games. For its GBA release some extra levels and abilities were added via the "ereader" peripheral, these extras making it something of a definitive version of the title. Not all of them made it out of Japan, and as Europe never got the ereader peripheral they never made it there. There was a version released for a virtual console later on that included said levels as a Nintendo made ROM hack, however as distributing said extras as a patch is legally dubious we get to stick to the more traditional ways. In this case one of our newer members, Renegade_X135, dropped in to share their collection of newly remade dot codes, translations of the levels (the North American version not featuring a Japanese font made the level names display as jumbled nonsense), the tools they used to make it, some discussion of the effects various things have, and a level which apparently was corrupt in the older releases.
With this then no longer should you have to find said patch (which also has issues with older hacks), mess around with partially corrupt (and possibly already completed) saves or suffer other such annoyances.
You may also like to grab a copy of the palette restoration hack as it is one of the games that suffers a brightened palette (many earlier titles and ports had this to help deal with the unlit screen on the original GBA).

With post-holiday sales slowing down in Japan, Nintendo software sales in the country nonetheless continue to have a pleasant January thanks to two solid new releases and continued momentum of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe nudged Super Smash Bros. Ultimate out of its top spot with its launch last Friday, and managed to sell through 52.53% of its initial shipment. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remained in second place this week, selling 62,000 compared to nearly 200,000 last week.
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition commanded attention on both PS4 and Nintendo Switch, as did Dragon Quest Builders 2 though the latter remains more popular on the Switch than the PS4, continuing a trend from last week.

Kicking things into higher gear, we are already back with the next issue of N64 Magazine. This time it's number 11 from February of 1998.
This issue is focussed on the 1998 Shoshinkai (Space World), with tons of news up upcoming games as well as a couple that would never see a release in the end.
We start off with 2 Japanese exclusives: 64 Oozumoo and Famista 64. A Sumo and Baseball game respectively. Then we move on to the reviews for San Francisco Rush, WCW vs NWO World Tour and Wild Choppers. And finally we look at the huge feature for the 1998 Shoshinkai show, followed by the keynotes of Hiroshi Yamauchi and Shigeru Miyamoto and finally the reveal of the Nintendo 64DD and it's first software.

Since its launch in 2017, the Switch has been lacking one particular feature that is available on pretty much every other modern device these days: A simple web browser. Shortly after it's release, it was discovered that such a browser did in fact exist in the Switch's firmware, but could only be access by changing your DNS, which can be rather annoying and bothersome to do...until now, that is! GoldLeaf, the multipurpose homebrew software has been updated to version 0.3, and one of the changes listed is the use of the Switch's web browser, without having to DNS swap in your Switch settings!
You can checkout the full changelog of this latest update in the official GoldLeaf thread in the Switch Emulation, Homebrew & Software Projects section, as well as find links to download the latest version to give the new web browser feature a try!

Games industry supporters came out to help one YouTuber complete Donkey Kong 64 and raise over $340,000 for trans charity Mermaids.
Mermaids is a British charity that aims to raise awareness about gender nonconformity in young people, and also provides support groups, helplines, reading materials and a lot more.
The charity has come under attack from TV writer Graham Linehan, who accuses the charity of being an aggressor that seeks to encourage sex-change procedures for children. He even started an email campaign against them to get National Lottery funding removed.

Switch owners hoping Metroid Prime 4 might arrive this year will be disappointed as Nintendo has taken the game back to the drawing board.
The game was announced at E3 2017 with nothing more than a logo, and little has been heard since. But today, a from senior managing executive officer Shinya Takahashi reveals the game's status.
Nintendo has decided to "restart development from the beginning", with producer Kensuke Tanabe calling in Retro Studios -- the US developer behind the original Prime games -- to take over the project.
"Nintendo always strives for the highest quality in our games; and in the development phase, we challenge ourselves and confront whether the game is living up to that quality on a daily basis," Takahashi said in a YouTube video. "If we're not satisfied with the quality, we aren't able to deliver it to our customers with confidence, and the game will not live up to our fans' expectations.
"From this perspective, we have determined that the current development status of the game is very challenged, and we had to make a difficult decision as a development team. We have decided to re-examine the development structure itself and change it."
Takahashi assures that Nintendo "did not make this decision lightly" and offers "deepest heart-felt apologies", adding that Nintendo "strongly recognises the delay will come as a disappointment."
However, the platform holder believes this is necessary to "make this game something that will meet our fans' expectations" and develop a new entry that can "stand shoulder to shoulder with the past Metroid Prime series titles."

The president of Nintendo is confident the company will meet its sales target of shifting 20 million Switch units by the end of the financial year.
Speaking to The Sankei News (translated by Nintendo Everything) Shuntaro Furukawa recognised that it was a tall order, but maintained there would be no need to discount its best-selling console in order to reach this milestone.
"It is an extremely ambitious, but worthwhile achievement," he said. "So, we will maintain this goal. Nintendo Switch is our primary sales objective, and we are not considering a successor or a price cut at this time."
His comments follow analyst warnings back in November that Nintendo could miss its target by as much as three million units -- although this was before the impressive success of Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Nintendo has revised its expectation of selling 20 million Switch units by the end of the financial year -- but is confident its revenues will not suffer.
The platform holder has previously said it aims to sell 38 million units by the end of the year. Switch's lifetime sales stand at 32.27 million units, with 163.61 million software units sold.
Back in November, analysts have warned that it may fall short by nearly three million units -- although Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa recently said he remains confident the platform holder can achieve this, even without a price cut.
Nevertheless, Nintendo's fiscal results for the nine months ended December 31, 2018 show that the forecast for Switch hardware sales is now 17 million units -- three million less than the previous 20 million target.
It's a conservative note in otherwise positive financials, with Nintendo reporting net sales have risen to $9.17 billion so far in the fiscal year -- up 16.4% year-on-year over the $7.88 billion achieved in 2017.
Operating profits, meanwhile, were up 40.6% to $2.02 billion, and ordinary profit was up 23.5% to $2.21 billion.
Much of this success was driven by Switch, and by three particular titles that achieved record sales. Super Mario Party has sold more than 5.3 million units since it was released in October, while the two Pokémon Let's Go titles have shifted a combined 10 million copies.
Smash Bros is the biggest star, however, having sold 12.08 million copies since launch -- an impressive achievement given that launch was less than two months ago,
Nintendo notes sales of other first-party and third-party titles "continued to grow steadily", meaning there are now 20 Switch games that have sold more than one million units.
Digital games are also on the rise, with sales for eShop content -- including full games, download-only games and DLC -- improving 95.1% year-on-year to $774.3 million.
Naturally, this software has helped drive new hardware sales, with 14.49 million Switch units sold so far this financial year -- a 19.5% increase over the same period last year. Meanwhile, software sales have more than doubled to 94.64 million units.
As can be expected, 3DS is declining with hardware sales down 60.5% year-on-year to 2.31 million units and software sales down 64.5% to 11.08 million. The NES and SNES minis have sold 5.83 million units between them since April.
Income from mobile titles, including the firm's latest release Dragalia Lost, came in at $306.2 million -- a 14.7% increase over the year before. However, Nintendo has delayed Mario Kart Tour -- originally due this fiscal year -- to summer 2019 "in order to improve quality".

Like what occurred with previous big 'N' update v6.20, they have again changed the TSEC firmware setup, blocked the previous 'smmuhax' exploit, and of course as usual added new 'Master Keys', and this time around they stopped 'package1 decryption, but now with v7.0.0-200 from Nintendo its really an 'cat & mouse' game, as already new 'keys have been found' less than a few hours after the update finally went live, but still if you wish to fully enjoy your Switch like Karen is doing so, then please stay for now on v6.2.0 and DO NOT UPDATE to v7.0.0 until you see the Official OK on the TX Front Page!
So for now please stay on v6.2.0 and to enjoy your Switch fully!

@SciresM has just released version 0.8.3 of his Nintendo Switch custom firmware, thus marking its tenth official release.
Happy June 15th, all: Atmosphere 0.8.3 has released: This contains a bunch of bug fixes and new features (and very excitingly a feature to reboot directly from atmosphere-HOS to a payload, without the need for RCM. (note: this is not coldboot))
Cool secondary feature in AMS 0.8.3: the new system settings customization. By default, this is used to disable error report uploading, and enable USB 3.0 superspeed for homebrew (when cable/port permit it). All sorts of cool stuff is possible
