Nintendo's Japanese share value has hit an all-time high as Goldman Sachs slapped a 'buy' rating on the company. Goldman Sachs also noted Nintendo's ability to create new markets "could bring it close to the level of Apple".
Shares in the publisher rose to 64,800 Yen (roughly 274 GBP) before closing at 64,300 Yen (about 272 GBP) on the Japanese stock market yesterday, as reported by Reuters. Once again, strong sales of both Wii and DS were cited as the reason behind the buying frenzy. However, Goldman Sachs predicts that Nintendo's value could sky rocket to 71,000 Yen.
Shares were also boosted by investor speculation that Nintendo is set to raise its earnings forecast, for the third time this financial year. Apparently, there's no end to the public's demand for Wii-mote waggling and stylus stroking.

Super Mario Galaxy's release is getting unbearably, groin grabing-ly close, as proved by today's official website launch in the Land of the Rising Sun. And look - new screens!
This batch of images should put to rest any worries Mario fans have over the variety in Galaxy's environments. As you can see the traditional roster of deserts, water worlds and green fields are all set to feature in his Wii quest, and the water looks so good we can't wait to dive right in - though we won't, as the bosses won't replace our nice telly.
If you have a poke around this page you'll also find pictures of the new Wii Remote security jacket (not the official name), which Nintendo will start shipping with the Wii at the end of the year, for erm, you lot who can't hold the remote properly.
For more lovely, lovely art and movies head over to the Japanese website. Happy navigating.

USA Today has up a story on Manhunt 2 for the Wii, the 'AO'-rated then re-rated title from Rockstar games. They appear to be specifically aiming to sensationalize the story, with evocative and needlessly violent language. Here are a few snippets from the article: '"Nintendo Wii takes a murderous turn." Manhunt 2 was originally rated Adults Only — equivalent to an X in films — and now carries an M for mature audiences (17 and up) ... Since the Wii version uses the motion-sensitive controllers, it literally gives players the hands of a killer ... Nintendo doesn't need to expand its user base to help the Wii continue to outsell its pricier and technologically superior competitors ... On the Wii, players physically make killing motions with the controllers — slashing for stabs and lifting to strangle — rather than simply pushing buttons

Mistwalker studios, the studio headed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, has announced they are hard at work on two RPGs for the Nintendo DS. One is a portable version of their just-released-for-360 title Blue Dragon, while a second title called AWAY: Tsuresarareta Hitobito has few details attached at this point.
"Little is known about the title outside of the fact that it's being developed by Artoon. They are notable for having Naoto Oshima--character designer for Sonic and Dr. Robotnik--on board. The only hint about the game is the subtitle, 'Tsuresarareta Hitobito,' which means 'kidnapped people'--strange considering the release date of January 31, 2008 is quickly approaching."
Great news for RPG-loving DS owners, who can add these titles to the stack with Dragon Quest IX . It's also an interesting example of a primarily Microsoft studio creating content for a Nintendo console, which coincides with rumours of Viva Pinata for the Wii currently in the works.

While there's certainly no shortage of tennis racket-esque accessories available to make your Wii Tennis experience a tad more realistic, those looking for even more authenticity can will soon be able to turn to a familiar name for their fix, as racker-maker Prince has now announced that it's making the jump into the Wiicessory business. According to IGN, Prince has teamed up with Qualtech Global to produce the rackets, which will be available in your choice of three colors and will apparently be exclusive to Circuit City (at least for the time being), where they'll set you back $15 apiece. You'll have to make do with your imagination for a little while longer though, as the rackets won't be available until November 15th.

Brunni has released a new update of his Gameboy emulator for the DS, heres the details:
Ok I will see that, I thank you much for all these tests
I tried to correct these problems a little, in particular Gargoyle Quest which enabled me to put the hand on 2 bugs odd, one in connection with the timings, the other with the interruptions.
The last (planting of Dr. Mario & Tetris with the screen titrates at some) is more ashamed. Eh yes, lives the asm; at a place I re-used a register which was supposed to contain a particular value but lately I made modif higher where I call upon a function which modifies sometimes the aforementioned register => random problem with the return. I am astonished besides that in fact the only plays posed problem.
If not I still improved speed also (until more than 20% especially on the heaviest plays).
