Get comfortable because we have here a massive 91 screenshots of Sega's new NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams for you to trawl through.
This massive batch of screens will give you an extensive look at the open beach and pinball machine-looking levels in the game, as well as some of the on-foot gameplay and boss battles.
You'll also get to see how low-poly NiGHTS' square hands are (N64 fingers!).

A review of Super Mario Galaxy that cropped up in Belgian magazine 'Gunk' is far from what it seems and was not done using a final copy of the game, Nintendo has told CVG.
They gave Mario's next quest 92 percent in what would have been the world exclusive review, which spans just a single page and isn't even shouted about on the cover.
Why such a short review for the most anticipated Wii game yet? Probably because they've only played the short E3 demo, like the rest of us.
"It is 100 percent not a review", a Nintendo spokesman told us, who went on to confirm that "no one in the world will have access to final game code until October 10 at the earliest."

The dream is slowly fading for anyone who's still hoping that persistent rumours of Sonic appearing in Smash Bros. Brawl were true. As the game's launch approaches he's still nowhere to be seen...
A new character has been unveiled today, but it's not the blue-spike hedgehog. It's a much less known character (on this side of the planet anyway) called Lucas; a young boy with psychic boy from the Japan-only Nintendo classic, Mother 3.
"While he is timid in nature, he fights splendidly. Is it possible he can surpass even Ness," says Nintendo.
But as the American release of the game draws nearer, and with the unveiling of a hedgehog-less box art (also below), it's looking increasingly unlikely that Sega's mascot is going to show up.

Can't get a Wii? How about getting a 'Vii' from China instead? We're sure it's just as good.
The world-renowned masters of piracy in China have produced a console that shamelessly seeks to pilfer some of the popularity of Nintendo's motion-controlled beauty.
The ingeniously-named 'Vii' not only steals the aesthetics of Nintendo's console, but it's controlled with a blatant replica of the Wii Remote, too.
It looks motion controlled in some way (which is surprising), but the games, which can just about be made out in the image below (courtesy of Engadget), are sure to be complete rubbish (or as good as Mario Galaxy - who knows?).
We still want one though, just for the comedy value.

Nintendo has finally officially confirmed that Neo Geo games will be available on the Virtual Console.
They will cost 900 points, and are likely to appear "soon", although a solid date is still to be determined.
The Neo Geo was a strange old beast made by Japanese company SNK. It boasted impressive technical prowess compared to its 1990 competition, but entered the market at such a high price point and asked for so much money for its games that it soon receded to niche, cult status.
Still, it had its moments and is remembered fondly for The King of Fighters and Metal Slug series among others.
The first titles to pop up on the Virtual Console will be Fatal Fury, World Heroes and Art of Fighting, with many more to follow in the future.
We will let you know when a date hits the airwaves.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has admitted the company will not be able to meet consumer demand for the Wii this Christmas.
Speaking frankly to the Mercury News, Fils-Aime said that for a second year running the home console is likely to be sparse on store shelves, with current supplies lasting no longer than a day before selling out.
"We're working very hard to make sure that consumers are satisfied this holiday, but I can't guarantee that we're going to meet demand. As a matter of fact, I can tell you on the record that we won't," he said.
"What I can tell you is that typically, our inventory is lasting a day... I don't think we will know when supply crosses with demand until after the holiday season," he said.
According to Fils-Aime, the problem isn't in manufacturing the consoles, but the sheer aggressive demand for the machine.
"The issue is not a lack of production. The issue is we went in with a curve that was aggressive, but the demand has been substantially more than that. And the ability to ramp up production and to sustain it is not a switch that you flick on," he added.
Only last month Fils-Aime promised an "unprecedented" amount of Wii consoles for the Christmas season following further sales success throughout the year.

Long-term Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter has confirmed he is reprising his gravelly role in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
He will be adding his various grunts and groans to the fighting mix, as he confirmed to fans via YouTube, for his 20th anniversary tribute to the Metal Gear Solid series. More info can be found on David's official website.
"I am indeed voicing Snake in 'Smash Bros.' I've recorded it already, and I believe that fans of both games are going to be extremely happy. It's very cool. That's all I can say," said Hayter.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be released in the US in December in Europe next year.
You can keep up to date with all of the characters in the games and the moves they will be pulling off over on the official Smash Bros. DOJO!! website.

Lordus the author of the very promising Genesis emulator for Nintendo DS called jEnesisDS contacted me last night with regards to getting sound working on his Genesis emulator for the DS. He also gave me some sad news that he is now without a DS because the person who was borrowing him the DS took it back.
Now until Lordus gets a new DS any updates to jEnesisDS will be put on the sidelines.
But there is hope if the community and especially those who enjoy his emulator can help out. He has a paypal donation link on his website here http://www.workingdesign.de/
But also if anyone has a old phat DS they dont want and would be willing to donate towards a goo cause then please contact via the website linked too.
As soon as i get some paypal funds ill be donating and hopefully others will and support coders who give so much to our scene
Thanks for your time.

News/release from OutofRange:
Based on a game called Nethack, but I don’t think there’s any way I could program the amount of commands that the game has in the time I have available. Thus, while based on it, it’s not the exact same game, and henceforth will be known as DungeonS. There’s still work left to do, but the basic game is there;
* Move using the Dpad
* ‘Fog Of War’ is fully integrated
* Random dungeon generation
* Monsters roaming the dungeon
* Attacking monsters, and receiving attacks
* Leveling up
* Picking up items
* Equiping weapons and eating
* Examining and dropping items
Things left to do include being able to equip the armour and the items such as rings. Also, there is currently no way of healing, since I haven’t programmed the spells or potions yet. The title screen has been programmed in a seperate project, where you can input your name, gender and class. At the moment, you can only be the warrior, but more will feature.
The final verison of the game will have a ’story’ mode, which will feature structured dungeons, in other words, they won’t have a randomly generated layout, and will have stairwells to progress through. It will also feature a ‘dungeons’ mode, which will make use of the random dungeon generator, and to progress you will need to kill all the monsters on the level.
Anyways, have fun with it, and let me know what you think, such as improvements or bugs.

Matti has released a new version of the Online strategy game on Nintendo DS in Risk-like fashion:
I'm currently preparing the version 0.4.0, trying to make sure all the known bugs are fixed for it. Expected release date approximately one week ahead.
30/09/07 update - So, I promised an update later in September. v0.4.0 is still under development, but I decided to release an alpha preview version so you can see what to expect. Lots of bugs have been fixed and I've further worked on the score / online leaderboard stuff. This is very likely the last beta version until the next public release.
