News from The incredible boss
As long as I not yet have a final name for my mini game gallery, I call it project-x. A first game is already 'under construction' and I would like to share some screenshots with you. Still struggling with the highscore save because the SRAM functions are not working for my M3DS... FAT seems to freeze somehow and I haven't figured it out yet what is wrong... to little time for the moment

MAG/PiratePila and AntonioND have updated the Dol and Elf Loader for Wii
Heres the details:
MAG Loader is a new shipper file ELF and DOL developed by me (MAG / PiratePila) and AntonioND. With this homebrew can have more than one on your SD ELF which means you can choose where you want to load without having to walk connecting the card to the PC and renaming files. One very useful tool for anyone who wants adentrar at the scene Wii.
Uses
Using this application is quite simple, just has to follow these steps and run to perfection;
1) Make sure you have the SD card formatted in FAT/FAT16.
2) Extract the file MAG_Loader.rar (which you can download below).
3) Rename the file magloader.elf to boot.elf and copy it to the root of the SD. It also creates a folder called elf (same root), this folder will need to put all the ELF and DOL you want bear MAG Loader.
4) Insert the SD in the Wii and the burden boot.elf since the channel homebrew or twilight hack, and you enjoy all your ELF in Wii.

Askot and DSBomb have worked on a new version of the Snes Emulator for Gamecube and Nintendo Wii:
Heres whats new:
Version 0.1.1 [20080417]
+[Askot]
- Added Save state in Zip mode for SD Gecko and Memory Card. Source
mainly taken from SnesGX 2.0b8 [beta]
- Fixed a sound glitch every time SDReload was used.
+[dsbomb]
- GC: fixed DVD support, can read ROMs and ZIPs.
- Removed certain menu options that are not usable in either Wii or GC mode
- Proper Wii reboot support
- Left/right on the dpad are usable on many menu items.
- WiiSD write support for SRAM, Save states.
.
The usual instructions apply. Make the "snes9x" directory on your SD card, then the "roms" and "saves" directories inside that. For the WiiSD, long file names are not supported, so it's best to keep them to the 8.3 format (eight characters, then a single period, and a three letter extension). I wanted write support more than long filename support at this time.

Enterbrain has distanced itself from a story by Bloomberg that claimed its president Hirokazu Hamamura said Nintendo would use E3 to showcase a redesigned DS, a rumour Nintendo has strongly denied.
The Japanese company, which publishes games magazine Famitsu, issued a statement flatly denying the predictions attributed to their president.
"No such statement or announcement was made by the president," the company said.
The statement claimed that Hamamura actually told Bloomberg that he would continue to pay attention to the direction the DS was going in and that he had high expectations for this year's E3.
"He did not, however, make a comment about the possibility of an announcement by Nintendo concerning a new model or successor to the Nintendo DS due to its current scarce product availability caused by its worldwide popularity," the company added.

This summer, Oxygen Games will release Pirates: Duels on the High Seas for the Nintendo DS. Buried in a press release announcing the portable game was the news that a prequel called Pirates: The Key of Dreams is also coming to WiiWare.
Duels on the High Seas sends players in search of Blackbeard's treasure, the Seven Keys of the Seven Seas. The Royal Navy, the Kraken, the Witch Queen, and Blackbeard himself will all try to stop your journey.
The Key of Dreams will expand on this story, but unfortunately that's all the info we have at this time. Players can look forward to walking the plank this summer.

Some people quit smoking with a patch, some with therapy, and some still with hypnosis or acupuncture. DS Fanboy reader Dan had an alternate method: he replaced his nicotine addiction with an addiction to Pokemon. So far he's only 40 days into the trial, but he's reporting success. (What is not reported, however, is how many pokemon he's caught. This is a vital detail, folks!)
So what happens when Dan needs to break his Pokemon addiction?

We weren't that surprised when Nintendo denied any knowledge of the existence of a new DS model hinted at by Famitsu publisher Hirokazu Hamamura last week. We were a little more surprised when Hamamura himself denied ever making the prediction.
IGN is reporting on a statement released by Enterbrain (Famitsu's parent company) explaining that reports of the original prediction were inaccurate and that Hamamura actually "believes it unlikely that Nintendo would release a new form factor or a successor model" for the DS. So was it simply a mistaken quote/translation, or did the powers-that-be at Nintendo put the screws to Enterbrain in order to tone back the speculation? We may never know the truth, but that won't stop us from wildly speculating ourselves ...

If you've exhausted all of your resources and still can't seem to whip up your very own Wii Laptop, Chinavasion's out to make sure you have the second (albeit a distant one) best alternative. Granted, the CVSN-901 isn't the first of its breed, but it does provide a marginally less unsightly design. As for specs, you'll find a 7-inch 480 x 234 resolution display, built-in stereo speakers, auxiliary stereo AV connection, adjustments for contrast / brightness / etc. and a fan grill hole thrown in just to ensure that "your Wii won't overheat." For what it's worth, it seems the requisite IR emitters are sitting just above the speakers (though it's not spelled out on the product page), and at least the unit itself will only set you back a Benjamin and change (or way less if you order enough for your entire community).

The DS is as popular in Japan as The Sims is in the entire world. Japanese retail tracker Media Create announced today that the DS has sold a total of 100 million pieces of software in its home territory.
It took the DS three years and five months to reach this feat. In contrast, the PlayStation 2 took four years and three months.
Media Create also provided a few stats for the system. Since launch, the DS has seen 922 titles. Of these, 21 have crossed the million mark.
New Super Mario Bros. is the best selling DS game of all time in Japan with 5,174,163 units. Below it on the top 10 are Brain Age 2 (4,835,159), Animal Crossing DS (4,693,662), Brain Age (3,771,440), Mario Kart DS (3,042,753), Pokemon Diamond (3,005,505), Pokemon Pearl (2,490,564), English Training DS (2,216,322), Mario Party DS (1,706,506), and Big Brain Academy (1,654,285).
Except for the Pokemon games, these are all Nintendo-published titles.

Bronto has posted some news about his mail app for the DS:
It's been some time since the last release, as I've been very busy lately. As a consequence, I will finish implementing some features I've started (themes..), clean up the code and look for someone to maintain it. Remembering what happened to a certain instant messaging application, it probably won't be open source. If anyone is interested, please contact me.

Emu kidid has released the first GBA Emulator for the Nintendo Wii, heres the release details:
Here's a beta version just to show how progress is going.
It requires a SDGecko though cause I haven't come across a decent enough front
SD library to use (which supports writing+LFN's)
The GUI is non-existent at this stage as it is just a quick hack together of things,
however it should still be usable.
Source is included in case I don't find the time to move further on with coding this.
Code:
Visual Boy Advance Version 1.7.2 Port to Wii
Please note, this is just a WIP build for testing. I'm not responsible for anyones
SD cards becoming corrupted/formatted/etc.
Features:
SD Gecko ROM loading (for now)
SD Gecko Native save/load support
Gamecube PAD support only (for now)
Up to 32mb (256MBIT) ROM support
Usage:
- Place all ROMS on the SDCARD in /VBA/ROMS/
- Create a directory /VBA/SAVES/
- Place your BIOS.GBA in /VBA/BIOS/ (if you have one)
- Boot boot.elf with the tp loader (or whatever else).
- Once loaded, put the SDCARD into your SDGecko (SlotA) and press A.
- Load a ROM, enjoy.
- To access the ingame menu, press X+Y.
- For now, you'll have to exit to the loader to load another ROM.
- To save your game, after saving in a game, go to the menu and then save.
- Saves are loaded automatically if they are found.
The source is provided but I've set the optimization level to -O0 so you can
compile it on dkPPC r14 (but it won't be 100% speed).
To compile this properly, it was quite a mess, as I had to use dkPPC R13 to
compile GBA.cpp and then R14 for the rest.. I'll try to sort out the issues, but for
now, the binary provided works fine.
Thanks to:
Forgotten for VBA ( http://vba.ngemu.com/)
shagkur/Wintermute for libOGC
bushing, segher, tmbinc for making wii homebrew possible
softdev for his GC port of VBA172

SVPE has released his TCP Loader for the Nintendo Wii, heres the release info:
It is a TCP server running on the Wii that listens on port 8080 and will run any binary that is sent to it after you confirmed the IP address with your GC controller. An additional warning is displayed when the connection comes from the internet (i.e. the first two octets of your Wii's ip does not match the first two octests of the connector's ip). Both DOL and ELF executables are supported.
