Svpe has been using the recent developments of the socket interface and have created a loader that loads stuff over TCP.
It is a TCP server running on the Wii that listens on port 8080 by default that will run any binary that is sent to it. Both DOL and ELF executables is supported. There is no IP address display in the Wii part, yet.
There is currently some progress on writing a windows gui to do the loading by dasda, while there is a cli tool for posix. The Windows-transfer tool will be released tomorrow (April 9th) due to lack of testing. Dasda 12:10, 9 April 2008 (PDT)
You currently need libogc cvs and bushing's socket patch in the sf.net patchtracker to compile this yourself. Precompiled binaries will maybe released by me once this patch is in the cvs.

Capcom is preparing a fresh take on courtroom drama by letting you play as a prosecutor in a spin-off to the Phoenix Wright series.
It's dubbed Perfect Prosecutor, according to Famitsu (translated by Weekly Games Journal), and it follows the adventures of Miles Edgeworth and Dick Gumshoe.
As Miles, you will have to scour crime scenes for inconsistencies and then present them to the court - sending bad, or maybe good people to prison. Let's hope you can make evidence up.
Not only will this be the first time you get to prosecute, but you will also be given a fresh search and deduction system to work with.
Capcom Europe is keeping its cards close to its chest on this one, and Famitsu has no date for Japan.

Nintendo has said there is nothing to announce regarding the whereabouts of the Wii-designed GameCube controller in Europe.
The model, sporting a neutral Wii colour-scheme, was spotted on the Japanese official Nintendo site earlier today.
It will apparently be on shop shelves in Japan later this month.
The chances of it appearing over here are slim.

Wii is still going down a storm, but that hasn't stopped rumours that the console will see its price slashed by a whooping 40 percent by May.
The cost of a Wii could be cut from €249 [£199] to €149 [£119.40], with a Mario Kart bundle launched at €199 at some point this Spring, a "source of France Nintendo" has apparently told Jeux France.
The source also details a two-game bundle, titles unspecified, with two Wii Remotes included, for a total price of €249. A saucy bundle indeed.
But we find such a significant price drop very hard to believe - especially when Nintendo doesn't seem to be having any problem shifting consoles at the moment.
A less drastic price drop nearer Christmas this year, to secure Wii as the top Chrimbo gift (again), would sound more feasible to us.
We'll be in touch with Nintendo UK at a more sensible hour of the morning.

The BBC has said its iPlayer video service will shortly be available on Wii.
This lets you download and stream BBC programmes that you may have missed, like News 24 with Peter Sissons and his voice.
An early version of the iPlayer will be available today, with more polished iterations to be offered as and when they are ready. You can get it from the Internet Channel on Wii for a small one-off fee, although the BBC has said it is looking at ways to make it free in the future.
"This exciting alliance with the BBC is yet another way in which Nintendo is looking to broaden the market for its products by offering compelling and relevant content to families," added David Yarnton, bossman of Nintendo UK.
"BBC iPlayer on Wii will offer Wii owners another reason to turn their console on everyday and adds to the already established non gaming content on Wii that includes news and weather channels and an Internet browser."
More than 17.2 million of you used the iPlayer to download or stream content, apparently, and more than 42 million programmes have been watched since the iPlayer launched last Christmas.
Last month the BBC also rolled the service out on Apple's iPhone and the iPod Touch.

Rob Kay, design director at Harmonix and on Rock Band, has blamed the lack of storage space as the primary reason why Wii Rock Band owners will not be able to download extra songs via DLC.
"Come on Nintendo, we need a hard drive," Kay said when asked about the issue in a recent interview with CVG. "That's what we want. The whole problem is there's nowhere to store it."
"If the platform could do it, we'd jump on it", he continued. "It's something that we championed to Nintendo, that we'd like to do it. Who knows what will happen down the line, I don't know what's coming down the line, but that's the reason there's no DLC in Wii Rock Band"
Nintendo has repeatedly insisted there are no calls for an external hard drive, with the most recent defense being made back in November.
For more from Rob Kay about UK-specific tracks, pricing and the future of Rock Band, check CVG later on this week.

Newly released today:
Karous is a shooting game taken from the arcade, previously remade for Dreamcast™ and now for Nintendo Wii™. Two tribes, the Fura who lives in the skies and Redin, who lives on land have always been at war. To the residents of Fura, the people of Redin are dangerous beings who are jealous of their advanced state of civilization and are aiming to overtake them.
During a battle between these two tribes, Karous, a mix-blooded child of Fura and Redin lost both of her parents. According to her father's last words, she is to search for the “blood of god”. Without an idea of what the “blood of god” is nor the complications involved in her own bloodline, she travels to Redin only to stumble upon the forbidden plans that involves people of both tribes.
Karous Wii utilizes the Wii system by including weapons such as a shield, a sword and a gun. Although it is a shooter, the sword is the highlight of the game. By swinging the Wiimote control in your hand, slash at the enemies on screen to deal critical damage. Get used to these weapons, as your chances of survival depends on them.
Aside from Karous, two other classic games, Chaos Field and Radirgy from the Milestone shooter series are included in the package. Both Chaos field and Radilgy are popular games that have been converted to multiple platforms. Chaos Field started out as an arcade game, but is then taken and remade for Dreamcast™, PlayStation2™ and Gamecube™. Likewise, Radilgy debutted as an arcade game, but was soon remade for Dreamcast™, Gamecube™ and PlayStation2™.

Crazy Climber made its debut in the early 1980s in the arcade. The concept of this innovative game is simple, the player takes on the role of a skyscraper climber and aim to board the helicopter at the top of the building. Although the concept is simple, the game itself is very challenging as there are many obstacles that you have to overcome to reach the top. Window shutters open and close to break your hand holds, residents of the building attempt to kill you by throwing flower pots and other heavy stuff at you. And as you climb higher and higher, you will come across monsters that are living on the buildings and think it's fun to swing themselves at you and see you drop to your death.
25 years later, this classic game is remade for the Nintendo Wii console. With your Wiimote control in one hand and the nunchaku in the other, you are ready to attempt to break your (or your player character's) neck from the comfort of your living room. The game offers four characters to choose from and a vast amount of carefully sculpted high rises for your climbing pleasure. The demented residents are back to throw things at you and so are the monsters.
Playing alone generates a huge amount of fun, but you can also play this game at a party with a group of friends. The one person mode offers a set of six fixed stages and an unlimited amount of stages thereafter, while the group mode supports four stages and one secret stage.
The Japanese version of Nihon System's Crazy Climber Wii for Nintendo Wii™ is now available at a bargain price of US$ 18.90 only!
To those who purchased a US or European Wii console, this game is playable by using FreeLoader (US Version) or the PAL version.

It's not exactly the most elegant solution, but those looking to bring their still-kickin' NES a little (and we stress little) more in line with current-gen consoles now have a new option at their disposal, with the freshly-made Glider cart now offering downloadable content of sorts. To take advantage of that feature, however, you'll also need to snag yourself a USB CopyNES board (available for $70), which requires some cutting and soldering in order to be wrangled into your NES. If you're able to do that without doing some irreparable damage, you'll be able to connect your NES to your PC via USB and download new levels for Glider, which can be offloaded directly to the game thanks to its use of flashable cart. Not exactly the sort of thing that'll result in a spike of NES console sales on eBay, to be sure, but just imagine what your 1980s self would have thought of it.

Kram presents his first homebrew for the DS, "DS2DS", it is an application allowing you to transfer files (images, music, homebrews, etc ...) of a DS to another WiFi.
In this first version you need to write the path to the file that you wish to send in DS2DS.txt which lies at the root of the memory card but a file explorer is expected to make its appearance to manually select the files to transfer .

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 will be launching in the States on July 1, US publisher Atlus USA has confirmed.
The game follows on directly from the first in the series, with players rejoining Dr. Derek Stiles and Nurse Angie Thompson, who are dealing with unpredictable after-effects of the lethal disease GUILT.
Altus promises the new game contains a new easy-play mode, improved tool utility and clearer directions. All of which doesn't sound like the game reinvents videogame surgery, but anyone expecting anything different should check into a hospital themselves.
The trailer reveals little else either, but does have a migraine-inducing montage at the very end showing off actual gameplay, so it's worth a look.
When contacted, Nintendo had nothing yet to say about a UK release.
