Remember Moon Books? It seems they've gotten pretty popular, since mastermind Brandon is in the process of upgrading to an expansive new site. Since we first reported on the project, several new titles have been added for use with the homebrew text viewer; no matter your pleasure, from Herodotus to T.S. Eliot, if you're a litgeek, this is some of the best stuff the homebrew scene has to offer. For now, it looks like most of those archives are on the old site, but we expect they'll be moved over directly.
If there's a title you'd like to request, or if you have questions about Moon Books, it's probably a good time to ask, before the spankin' new forums get cluttered.

Nintendo of Japan has put up a teaser page for its next big Wii release, Super Paper Mario. Considering that the US release date (4/09) is a week and a half earlier than Japan's, we're not sure which to blame for why their official site came up before North America's -- our laziness or their industriousness.
Along with the standard story and cast previews, there are three gameplay videos, with nine more promised. The movie clip showing what happens when Mario gets a star is definitely worth a watch. We've really grown fond of seeing the giant plumber kick aside warp pipes ever since he picked up the habit in New Super Mario Bros.
Keep an eye on the site as there are still two unrevealed sections. With the game's release being only a few weeks away, they won't be able to hold onto those last bits of hidden info for too long!

Word round the internet is that the UK Release of Pokemon Battle Revolution will not have Friend Codes unlike its USA/Japan Counterpart.
The News comes from the Ngamer magazine.
Thank god for some sense from Nintendo.
Heres the quote from the Ngamer Magazine:
Pokemon Battle Revolution, which is already online-enabled in Japan, will be the first English networked game when the translation is released in the summer, and without requiring the separate, game-specific friend codes that dogged the Japanese version

As many of you are aware of, Nintendo made a goal to sell 4 million Wii's by the end of the 2006 year. That goal was accomplished. As I'm sure you all know by now, Nintendo was pushing itself to sell 6 million by the end of their fiscal year, March 31, 2007. It is currently 10:30 PM on March 25th, 2007 here and I have but two words to say about this task:
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
According to the above image ripped from the popular sales tracking site, VGCharts.org, the Nintendo Wii has sold 6.03 million consoles around the world.
All I have to say is congratulations, Nintendo, for creating such a buzz about this console that it simply sells out in 5 minutes at any store that gets them. I was lucky enough to get mine on launch day and am loving it. I'll bet that we will see a 10 million mark before the year is over.

Forget HD and multi-core CPU's, back then it was all about the bits in the CPU, the Nintendo 64 was the first ever game console with a 64 bit CPU. It was also 'next-gen' in terms of the maximum screen resolution it supported, it could run games at a whopping 640*480 (*gasps*). Back then 640*480 was the 1080p holy grail of today only it wasn't nearly as hyped and the difference in image quality was far more spectacular over 320*240, unlike todays 1080p advantage over 720p.
The Nintendo 64 was the most powerful game console ever with the most potential when it was released. Popular franchises such as Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda wowed people with the amazing graphics made only possible with the power of the Nintendo 64, other tech demos and crazy propaganda also did their part.

The Wii Opera browser has been getting relatively positive reaction from the masses, but there’s a lot of features that would make the surfing experience so much easier. It appears that our input has been listened to, and there’s a few extra tweaks coming in the final version due out in April.
Details from Nintendo:
Since late December, Wii owners have been able to download a trial version of the Opera Internet browser. After receiving substantial and helpful feedback from consumers, friends and family members, Nintendo developers have made a number of improvements to the final version of the browser, including:
improved zooming and scrolling
an improved zoomed font
shortened startup times
quicker access to “favorites”
an ability to hide the toolbar
buttons that will instantly type common preset letters, such as “www” or “.com”
More details about these and other functions will be announced in the near future. To ensure that the browser incorporates all of these enhancements, the final version will be available for download in April, a few weeks later than previously announced. The browser will remain free for Wii owners to download through the end of June. After June, users who haven’t already downloaded the Opera browser can go to the Wii Shop Channel to download it for 500 Wii Points.

New for Nintendo DS:
Now your favorite board games are available on the Nintendo DS! This compilation reprises the classic games Battleship, Connect Four, Sorry!, and Trouble. Battleship has come a long way to get to the Nintendo DS. First there was paper and pencil, then the board game versions, and now here. Using your skill and logic, can you be the first to sink all 5 of your opponent's ships before they can sink yours? In Connect Four, play the original vertical four in a row checkers game. Horizontal. Vertical. Diagonal. All you have to get is four in a row...
Take turns dropping checkers into place and try to get four in a row in any direction - while preventing your opponent from doing it first! Then, move on to Sorry, the classic game of slide and pursuit! Be the first player to move all four of your pawns around the game board from Start to Home. Trouble, Milton Bradley's classic race-and-chase game, is guaranteed to bring out your competitive side. Hop your pegs around the track. Land on an opponent's peg and bump it back home. Keep poppin' and hoppin' to get all pegs to the finish line first.
