Learn the facts related to one of the most turbulent times in Japan, the Bakumatsu period. During this period, the power shifted from the Bakufu (the shoguns) toward the crown once again and several armed factions with different theories as to how to rule the country were established. The game introduced three of these factions, the shinsengumi that supported the Bakufu, the armed revolutionaries that rebelled against the existing system and the third faction aimed to strengthen the country through peaceful means.
Choose to enter one of these three factions and unite Japan through persuading people from the other factions to join you. Collect information, decide on who to go to the negotiations with and proceed toward meeting your opponents. The negotiations are a set of quizzes on historical facts related to the period, so pay attention to the information you have acquired earlier. Getting the answers right in the quizzes will sway your opponents toward you and thus join you in your quests.

Newly released today
features
The game features scenes from these series: Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory and Mobile Suit Gundam Z.
description
As opposed to the other hit Gundam games recently released on the NDS, Emblem of Gundam is a simulation game that aims at narrating the events in the Gundam universe from a historical point of view. The game consists of famous scenes from the anime series and character studies. To let the players get a better picture of what happened in the course of history, the game features a historical button system where the players can choose to view scenes that are not included in the original anime series.
The battles are exciting and the camera movements show the full view of the Mobile suits in action. When your battle power reaches a specific level, you can initiate character events. To keep things simple, the game features a province map that shows the geography of the battle field and analyzes the battle fronts with relation to your military force. Everything is visualized, including the course of the bullets and the formation of your opponents. Make use of these maps and assign a perfect team for your mission.
The key to victory is determined by your combat power, and this is decided by the collective forces of your offense and defense teams as well as the skills of your pilots. Each pilot specializes in a certain type of mobile suit, so keep that in mind when you assign your teams.

Nobody really expected Wii Fit to be a flop, and obviously the rampant success in Japan should've tipped us off, but it looks like the little exercise-centric peripheral is really doing alright for itself over in Europe. Dixons.co.uk says it sold a Wii Fit every four seconds on Friday, and Amazon.co.uk says they sold out within 24 hours. No word on overall sales yet -- they've sold over 1.8 million units in Japan since the December launch -- but we'd recommend you get yourself a preorder or a nice spot in line if you plan on working that flab off anywhere near the May 21st launch date in the US.

A design masterpiece in the line of the Wooden Portable NES this certainly is not, but it's fun to see a manufacturer taking seriously the concept of portable classic cartridge gaming, and what better place to start than the NES? The FC Mobile Portable could very well be a rebadge of something or another, and there's obviously no telling how legitimate this eBay auction is -- so proceed at your own risk -- but we know we've certainly squandered $50 on much less noble pursuits than old school portable gaming.

Despite its fanboy following and favorable reviews from critics, the GBA adaptation for The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night will not see a follow-up on single-screen portable, according to Sierra's 2008 Spring Event held over the weekend.
Interestingly, of all the platforms The Eternal Night released on (PS2/Wii/DS/GBA), the GBA version, a 2D platformer/brawler some described as Devil May Cry meets Astro Boy: Omega Factor, has the highest average review score by a large margin. Quality doesn't equal quantity sold, however, especially on a dying console, and we're not surprised that Sierra opted to not complete its The Legend of Spyro trilogy on the GBA.

Capcom's senior director of strategy Christian Svensson has said that the omission of Bionic Commando on Virtual Console is down to Nintendo.
"Guys, you have to take this up with Nintendo. This is NOT, repeat NOT, a Capcom issue," he wrote on the official Capcom forums.
"Please remember, Nintendo calls the shots on what goes up on VC, not third parties."
Bionic Commando producer Ben Judd also chimed in on the possibility of seeing the all new 3D title appear on the Wii.
"A Wii version is something we are considering," he told Kotaku.
"And if we did a Wii version, it would not be a port of the next-gen games or a remake. It would be an original title, but wouldn't use the Wii-mote for one-to-one swinging. I have a pretty creative idea for how to handle the controls."
Is Capcom's days of porting old titles to Wii finally at an end? An all new Bionic Commando title exclusive to Wii could be the kind of traditional game Wii owners are waiting for.

Nintendo has denied internet reports that the Metroid Prime Trilogy in its entirety is coming to Wii.
According to GoNintendo, a tipster claimed that the computer system of a retailer had a new Wii game listed as 'Metroid Prime Trilogy'.
Internet speculation jumped to the obvious conclusion that Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3 were being repackaged as one and the GameCube games were being revamped for the console.
But speaking to CVG, Nintendo labelled the rumour as "Purely rumour and speculation."
The rumours come off the back of three principal Metroid Prime developers leaving company Retro, after being apparently escorted off the premises.

Andy Murray and Roger Federer fans can now get a peek at their tennis hero's appearance in the new Top Spin DS game, by clicking somewhere below.
Five new screenshots show off the character models, the venue screen and even actual gameplay from the DS iteration.
Other than that, there's not much we can really say. It doesn't exactly look like it's going to break new graphical grounds, but it's hardly expected on the portable console. And it looks like it plays like, er, a tennis game.
Top Spin 3 comes to PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS sometime later on in the year.
