News via http://emu-russia.net/en/
Russian translation group "Schedevr" released original hack of Battle City (NES). In fact this is a whole new game on Battle City's engine. In this game you have to:
- control two tanks at the same time as fast as you did with one;
- pass through labyrinths synchronously and even shooting into your own tank;
- struggle with fast growing forest and weather effects;
- use a short sword against masses of aggressive enemies;
- repaint your tank in the enemy's colors and reclaim taken away weapons;
- run from the interface's elements and rethink your opinion about "normality" in games.

Holy Hell is a puzzle game with shmup elements. The goal of the game is to reach the end of every level trying to chain more blocks of the same color together.
You guide a little ship powered with four different colored weapons. Every weapon can destroy only blocks of its same color, so you must switch between them to blow up everything...
Brown blocks cannot be destroyed and must be dodged... http://pdroms.de/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6574

With the release of new Nintendo sales figures today, Kotaku was able to try and compare launch window sales for the DSi and DS Lite. I say try because as with many game platform launches things don't match up perfectly.
What we were able to learn after digging through Nintendo's official quarterly and annual reports is that the DSi launched a bit more slowly in the Americas than the DS Lite. But first some background.
The DS Lite and the DSi both had staggered launches around the world: The DS Lite first hit Japan, landing there on March 2, 2006, and then Australia on June 1, North America on June 11 and Europe on June 23. The DSi also hit Japan first, launching there on Nov. 1, 2008, and then hitting Australia on April 2, 2009, Europe on April 3 and North American on April 5.
Because of Nintendo's reporting period it's impossible to use their numbers to look at the first three months of each platform for the world. It's easier to do that if you narrow the focus to just North and South America, but you do end up with an extra two weeks of sales for the DS Lite.
Here's how those number work out:
Sales in the "Americas" for the DS Lite from the day it hit here on June 11, 2006 to the end of September were 2.23 million units. While Sales in the "Americas" for the DSi from the day it hit on April 5, 2009 to the end of June were 1.56 million units.
That means the DS Lite sold on average about 20,000 units a day at $130 a pop during the 112 days of that reporting period, while the DSi sold on average about 18,000 units a day at $170 a pop during the 87 days of it's reporting period.
So is a 2,000-a-day gap during the launch window here a sign of weaker interest, a more daunting price, or are other factors at play?

Nintendo completed an optional firmware update, which lets DSi camera users upload photos directly to Facebook.
As long as your Nintendo DSi is connected to a wireless network you can post photos to your Facebook account. All you need to do is select a photo from the Nintendo DSi camera channel, click on the “F” icon, login in, and upload. The program creates an album called Nintendo DSi’s Photos to put your pictures in.

We left you on a bit of a cliffhanger earlier. Gave you lifetime DS sales, but held out on Wii and DSi lifetime sales. It's only fair we complete the lineup.
The lifetime, worldwide sales for both consoles were disclosed as part of Nintendo's financial results for the past quarter (April-June). And they are as follows:
Wii: 52.62 million
DSi: 6.68 million.
6.68 million DSi consoles already? Overall drop in Nintendo sales or not, that is impressive.

It seems that Nintendo DSi owners in Japan have already started digitally receiving their copies of the newest firmware, v1.4. The refresh brings little more than the Facebook photo uploading we heard (very little) about back at E3 2009. How little more, you ask? The Nintendo Japan page also lists "faster image display speed in [the] DSi camera." That's it.
Nintendo announced during E3 that the functionality would be hitting American DSis "this fall." We've asked the company for a more firm release date in other territories and will update this post if we hear back. In the meantime, check out a quick walkthrough that our pal Ittousai from Engadget Japan put together for us, just after the break.

July 30th, 2009, 16:50 Posted By: wraggster
Nintendo's profits for the first quarter of the financial year are down by 60.6 per cent, due to a fall in demand for the Wii and the strong yen.
The company made ¥42.3 billion in the three months ending 30th June, down from ¥107.2 billion a year ago. Net sales were JPY 253.4 billion, compared to JPY 423.3 previously.
DS hardware sales for the quarter stood at 5.97 million units - down from 6.94 million a year ago. Software sales fell from 36.69 million to 29.09 million, though Pokemon Platinum Version still did all right.
Wii sales were down by more than half to reach 2.23 million units. Last year over 40 million games were sold for the console, but this year that figure was 31.07 million.
"There were fewer blockbuster titles that briskly drove hardware sales this June quarter versus the same period a year ago when titles like Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit were launched in overseas markets," said Nintendo.
The company expects to hit targets of 26 million Wii sales and 30 million DS units for the full-year, and make an operating profit of JPY 490 billion.
