Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is coming to Europe in 2014, thanks to another partnership between Atlus and NIS America. The latter will bring the game to Euro retail shelves and eShops, while a two-dungeon demo is also confirmed to be on its way.
Atlus' 3DS RPG, which hit North America this year, is a re-imagination of the first Etrian Odyssey, balancing the series' defining penchant for cartography with a new auto-mapping feature. It features other major additions like a Story mode, with voice acting and animated cutscenes, and a new Grimoire Stone system to customize and modify characters' classes.
While it was perhaps slightly overshadowed by the arrival of Etrian Odyssey 4, our four-star review deemed Untold the best entry point in the series, thanks to its variety of "tedium-reducing improvements."

The Wii U version of Wii Sports will be delivered to all Wii U consoles automatically, Nintendo has announced, if you've agreed to receive content via SpotPass. You'll also need to have 1.3GB of hard drive space available on your Wii U or on a connected hard drive.Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed the details in a new Iwata Asks interview, where it was also confirmed that Namco Bandai had been drafted in to polish the games up and add in online play.Wii Sports Club is set to launch in Europe on 7th November with Tennis and Bowling. Other sports will then be added as they roll off the production line. After your initial 24 hour period of free play ends, you can then buy a Day Pass from the eShop for £1.79 to play all the available sports for a 24-hour period. Or you can buy permanent access to individual sports for £8.99 each. There will be further 24 hour free trial periods when each future game is released (Golf, Boxing, Baseball)."And lastly, I have a request to make of our readers," Iwata added. "Please be sure to use the Wii Remote jacket and strap," he advised, a nod to 2006's spate of broken TVs.

Pachter says Nintendo forecasts are too optimistic, says Wii U "is the wrong product for consumers"
[h=3]Nintendo[/h]nintendo-europe.com
It's been a year since Nintendo stopped making Wii games, but the system and its software continue to sell. In fact, Wii hardware and software are selling better than Wii U consoles and games through the first half of Nintendo's fiscal year.
In Nintendo's first-half earnings report (the six months ended September 30), the company today revealed that it sold 470,000 Wii systems worldwide since April, compared to 460,000 Wii U systems. The disparity on software sales was considerably greater, with 14.90 million Wii games sold worldwide for the period. With a much smaller installed base (3.91 million compared to the Wii's 100.3 million), the Wii U managed to sell 6.3 million games in the half-year.
In a note to investors today, Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter pointed to Wii U's struggles as one reason not to buy into Nintendo management's sales projections for the back half of the year. While Pachter acknowledged the second half has a more compelling lineup of Wii U games and potential system sellers, he was skeptical that they would be enough to achieve the 8.54 million Wii U sales (more than twice its existing installed base) Nintendo had projected. Those numbers are simply unattainable without another price cut for the system, Pachter said.
"We think that Nintendo has a very low probability of meeting its Wii U forecasts, as it expects the installed base to more than triple by year-end, with very bullish software guidance layered on top. We think the Wii U is the wrong product for consumers, and although we believe that Nintendo faithful will buy the console if it is the only way they can play beloved Nintendo software titles, we think that there are fewer of these faithful than management is counting on to hit its full-year guidance."

Famitsu report dominated by Nintendo software, New Super Mario Bros. DS most popular game of all
[h=3]Nintendo[/h]nintendo-europe.com
Nintendo products account for eight of the ten best-selling games in Japan since the turn of the century.
To commemorate its 1300th issue, the Japanese magazine Famitsu has published a document of Japanese software sales on console and handheld since January, 2001. Somewhat predictably, Nintendo has dominated the market, selling a combined total of almost 133 million units - including Pokemon titles - in that period.
Square Enix came in a distant second, with around 30 million units sold.
Nintendo's most popular games - and therefore the most popular game of all - was New Super Mario Bros. on the DS, which sold 6.4 million copies in Japan. Indeed, Nintendo accounted for the remainder of the top five: Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Pokemon Black and White, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and Animal Crossing: Wild World in fifth.
Positions six to ten were, in order, Brain Age, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Dragon Quest IX and Mario Kart DS.
The DS was the leading platform, with 32.9 million sold - 39 of the top 100 games were for the DS - followed by Sony's PSP, with 20 million units sold.

You’ve seen it all before, of course. From the second Link is jolted from his slumber with an insistent ‘Hey!’, A Link Between Worlds is an exercise in fan service, delivered with relish. Its first hour is a steady, indulgent flow of references to, and tropes from, adventures past. The map is a tighter, more economical version of A Link To The Past’s, its enemies and furniture near-identical; props and characters pinched from Ocarina, Link’s Awakening and Majora’s Mask are jammed into one dense, self-referential jumble. And the setup is always the same, of course – there’s a damsel in distress, a flame-haired antagonist, magical trinkets to seek out and legendary sages to rescue. The first dungeon introduces the same old light-the-torch, hit-the-switch puzzles and leads out into a boss battle that feels like a top-down tribute to one of Ocarina’s more memorable encounters. If it continues to rely so heavily on its illustrious past, A Link Between Worlds will be a divisive game. Like those two other component parts of Nintendo’s own triforce, Mario and Pokémon, new Zelda games must always balance expected facets of play with the new; remixing and referencing bygone games is expected – maybe even demanded by longterm fans – but that can’t carry a new game in its entirety.Even Ravio, chief among this game’s supporting cast, is dressed up as the purple rabbit Link transforms into during A Link To The Past, but at least his function is one of this game’s newer parts. Where traditionally items are earned at the end of each dungeon, Link can rent most of the expected set of tools – bow, hammer, boomerang, hookshot and so on – from Ravio and his oddball flying familiar right from the game’s opening hour or so. Dungeons can, therefore, be tackled in different orders. It’s a new quirk which removes the rigidity of games past, but hardly feels revolutionary.

Lifetime sales for console sit at 3.91m nearly a year after launch
Nintendo sold just 460,000 Wii U consoles during the six months ending September 30th.
Lifetime sales for the console, released in November 2012 , now stand at 3.91m.
Softeware sales for the past six months, backed by the release of Pikmin 3, reached 6.3 million.
Nintendo admitted the Wii U was still having a "negative impact" on the company's profits. The firm noted that price cuts in the US and Europe in particular hurt revenues.
Wii software sales more than doubled that of the Wii U at 14.9 million, while hardware for Wii were slightly better than the Wii U, with 470,000 sold.
The console outfit was positive about 3DS sales, reaching 3.89m in hardware sales and 27.38m from software.
Overall, net sales for Nintendo were down slightly year-on-year to £1.2bn.
Net income improved significantly from the same period last year however at £3.8m, compared to the £177m loss reported in the six months ending September 30th 2012.

The Legend of Zelda series has always been associated with the color gold. From the original gold-colored cartridge for The Legend of Zelda on NES to the box art of the recently released The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Wii U, when fans think of "Zelda," they think of gold. With the launch of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds on Nov. 22, the tradition of gold continues. On the same day, a new Nintendo 3DS XL bundle will launch that includes Nintendo 3DS XL hardware with gorgeous gold-and-black coloring and the iconic Triforce on the exterior, as well as a download code for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The legendary system is gold on one side and black on the other, beautifully representing the two parallel worlds Link travels between in the game. The special bundle was announced in a video starring The Legend of Zelda franchise producer Eiji Aonuma, and will be available at a suggested retail price of $219.99.
"This beautifully designed Nintendo 3DS XL system continues a tradition that has delighted our fans for decades," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "It's a special bundle for a very special video game."
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is set in the same world as fan-favorite The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for Super NES and takes place in the same Hyrule after many years have passed. In this new game, Link must journey between two worlds, Hyrule and Lorule, using a mysterious power that lets him become a drawing on walls. Link's ability to merge with walls allows players to solve puzzles and explore dungeons in a new way. Players are also able to buy or rent various items throughout the game, allowing them to explore dungeons in any order they want, adding a new level of freedom to the game play.

3DS game saves have long been dumped and had their initial decryption layer fiddled with but owing to an inability to inject content back in the have been few attempts to take it much further than that.
Pokemon uses a slightly different save type (This is one of the major issues currently plaguing Gateway 3DS users who wish to play Pokemon X and Y), but some are saying it might have been an online functionality derived hack. In some ways that would make more sense but the authors of the information are not commenting on the methods used at this point.
Either way, as with normal saves, at this point in time people can not modify Pokemon and reinsert them. However, the format the Pokemon take has been reverse engineered to some extent. Initial plans involve decoding the new structure and a checking program is to be made later, which is fitting as the owner of the popular Pokécheck website and a moderator at Project Pokemon are the ones responsible for this initial breakthrough.
Issued Statement on Project Pokemon said: Box pkxs are now 232 bytes, as opposed to 136 previously.
Pkxs store the current owner + the original OT for a given pokemon.
The encryption on the pkx files works slightly differently.
Hatched eggs save the moves they hatched with separately for the move relearner

Cartoon Network's Young Justice won't be leaving a Legacy on Wii U or Wii, after developer Little Orbit and publisher Warner Bros. opted to cancel the spin-off for the two Nintendo consoles. According to a statement on the game'sFacebook page, the decision was made because of "several factors," including quality issues and low interest from retailers.
The cancellation comes in the month before Young Justice: Legacy is due, but the action-RPG remains set for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and 3DS. The game will star the show's league of precocious heroes, chronicling the events between the first and second series.
