Activision has told Eurogamer that Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will be released for DS, PS2, PSP and Wii on 12th June.
The date follows the bizarre revelation that Han Solo will be a playable character in the game.
He'll be able to use his laser pistol, according to a StarWars.com trailer, but otherwise acts more-or-less the same as Indiana Jones: pouty one-liners, rugged good looks, stick insect girlfriends and so on and so forth.
We're not sure whether Han is the the secret co-op character LucasArts teased back at the game's unveiling in February, incidentally.
Of the SKUS, the Wii version provides the most interest, with motion-sensing whip and punching controls, and gesture-based escape sequences. There's multiplayer, too.

Ubisoft has annoucned plans to release a DS puzzle RPG set in the Might & Magic Universe this August. The game will be called Might & Magic Clash of Heroes.
It will offer five epic quests, a manga art style, a customisable hero and army, and alternate between exploration and turn-based puzzle battles. There's also a multiplayer battle mode for two players. Sounds like it might be in the Puzzle Quest vein, but that's just a guess as yet.
It's being developed by Capybara Games, a Toronto mobile gaming developer also responsible for the puzzler Critter Crunch on PSN and iPhone.

Shipments of handheld consoles are set to grow to 63.5 million units by 2013, according to analyst firm iSuppli, with revenues from handhelds to reach USD 8.1 billion.
iSuppli also estimates that no new handheld technology will be released by either Sony or Nintendo until 2011 at the earliest.
"The global market for handheld video game systems is set to buck weak conditions in the global consumer electronics market and rise by 4.9 per cent in units and 8.2 percent in revenue during 2009, due to moves by Sony and Nintendo to freshen up their products," said the company, following the release of the DSi and the PSP 3000 last year.
"While the long-term growth rate isn’t staggering by any means, Nintendo’s and Sony’s platform revisions should keep their portable game console shipments growing until they are able to roll out next-generation handheld platforms."
"iSuppli believes Sony and Nintendo will not introduce next-generation handheld video game consoles until 2011, at the earliest," added the company.

We've seen scads of portable NES mods in the past but still: this is probably relevant to your interests. ThinkGeek's got a new portable gaming system on offer, the Retro Mini Handheld. It plays all those 8-bit cartridges you've had stacked in your room next to your hi-fi since the olden days, and it's got a pretty attractive look. Sure, the cartridge is essentially bigger than the handheld itself, but that's part of its charm as far as we can tell. It's got a 2.4-inch LCD and takes four AA batteries for about 8 hours of game time, and it's available now for $49.99. There's one more shot after the break.

Nintendo of America bigwig Denise Kaigler has cheekily admitted she doesn't want hardcore gamers' appetites to ever be satisfied on Wii, because then she would have nothing to do.
"I will give you that hardcore gamers have an insatiable appetite for everything Nintendo, and we love that! We love that," she told Bitmob. "When we get to a point where core gamers say, 'OK, Nintendo, enough! We don't need any more games from you guys...' None of us wants to be put in that position, right?
"We don't want your appetite to ever be satisfied, because when we satisfy you, it's time for us to go, 'OK! Let's go on home now!' And none of us wants to go home.
"So there's this sort of fun relationship, I think, that's happening between Nintendo and the hardcore gamer, which we enjoy and hope that the core gamer enjoys it," she added.
Kaigler said the unveiling of Zelda: Spirit Tracks at GDC was Satoru Iwata's way of saying, "Yes, Nintendo wants you to know that we are absolutely still committed to providing game experience that you care about."
She also challenged the "hardcore" and "core" labels, and asked if we liked being told what told enjoy.
"Or do you want to be part of a broader community that wants to have fun, that wants to be surprised, that wants to have this immersive experience in games that you can't find any place else?" she said.
Feed us, Denise, we're hungry.

Pokémon masters take note: The Pokémon Video Game World Championships are coming to London on May 30... and there's no age limit (that we know of).
The London leg of the important-sounding "EUROPEAN QUALIFIERS" are to be held at The Circus Space in Hoxton.
After London, there are qualifiers in Berlin on June 13 and in Paris on June 20. European winners will go through to the final in San Diego, California to take on the US and Japanese victors, who will blatantly ANNIHILATE you.
Apparently all those successful will walk away with a powerful level 50 Shiny Milotic, and a knock on your pride after your arse is handed to you by a 7-year-old.
Here's the small print, care of ONM:
"If you do want to take part in the qualifiers you should know that entry is limited to 128 players for each age division. If you are born in 1996 or before you'll be placed in the senior competition while those born in 1997 or after will go into the junior tournament. The players will be selected at random from those who register upon arrival. Registration times are from 9:30-10:30 for Seniors and 13:30 to 14:30 for Juniors."

Today, Hamburg/Germany-based publisher dtp entertainment announces Virtual Villagers: A New Home for Nintendo DS. This colourful, real-time life simulation will be published in Q3 2009. Virtual Villagers: A New Home takes players to a beautiful tropical island where they are tasked with helping a tribe of stranded villagers to survive and discover the island's many secrets. Surprising events, challenging puzzles, and fun-to-play mini games all await players eager to take up the task.
When a volcano destroys their former home, a band of survivors find themselves washed up on the shores of the beautiful Isola Island. Luckily, their new homeland appears peaceful and fertile. The stranded villagers are able to find berries, fish are plentiful in the nearby ocean, and building materials are available for the villagers to construct their first huts. Until the player assigns tasks, the villagers wander around the island, just playing tag or chatting, and just like real people, the Virtual Villagers will become sad or sick if not given enough attention. However, the player can help by putting the villagers in touch with their friends. They are able to heal and cheer each other up. Good tempered villagers can even fall in love and have babies, helping the tribe to prosper.
Players can customize their Virtual Villagers in many different ways. New names can be assigned and colourful clothes and accessories including exotic flowers and other collectible items, can be changed to suit the player's current mood. Players also will help guide their villagers in their occupations, determining what role they will play on the island.
Life on the island never stands still. Due to a persistent game world, time continues to move forward even if the Nintendo DS is closed or turned off. When returning to the game, players can always look forward to a surprise such as the villagers celebrating the anniversary of their arrival, finding various messages in the bottles that wash ashore, or discovering a new mini game has been unlocked. Dozens of unexpected events will occur.
Virtual Villagers provides easy-to-play fun through discovering the island and taking care for its inhabitants – complicated micro-management isn't needed. Virtual Villagers: A New Home is dedicated to younger simulation fans and casual gamers alike. This Nintendo DS title is also for gamers on the go who only have short periods of time to play.
"keen games and dtp entertainment have done an exceptional job bringing this Virtual Villagers title to Nintendo DS", says Arthur Humphrey, Founder of Last Day of Work, the team that created the successful Virtual Villagers series for PC. "This game is a natural fit for the system and we are confident and excited to debut our Virtual Villagers franchise on this platform." Virtual Villagers – A New Home is developed by keen games in Frankfurt/Germany, based on a license from Big Fish Games.

Apparently we're not the only ones that realize just how difficult – and addicting - Knights in the Nightmare is, as those DS/Wii owners quick enough on the draw have the opportunity to play the ambitious pocket RPG long before release. Atlus USA and Nintendo of America have teamed up to add Knights in the Nightmare to the Nintendo Channel today, so if you own a Wii and a DS, you should dive on in immediately.
Knights in the Nightmare is a unique action-RPG that makes use of some elements from arcade shooters, classic strategy RPG attack systems, thousands of weapon upgrades and combinations, and a beautiful style, mixing some epic music with developer Sting's impressive hand-drawn slant on pocket gaming.
It's a tough game to get into, which is exactly why it's now available for a free taste. The download consists of the game's tutorial, which will last you a good deal of time. Learn the game now, and get ready for its release in just a few short weeks. This ambitious title already ranks among some of the best titles of the year, so get a taste now while you can.
Oh, and download it quick. Knowing Nintendo's random update habits, this thing could be gone at any time.
