If you like Disney but you prefer your 3DS systems big and less "peach-pink" - such a thing is possible - then you'll be pleased to hear the Disney Magical World 3DS XL that Japan got last year is also headed for North America. New promo photos reveal the "Mickey Edition" handheld launches alongside the 3DS game on April 11, and it's coming to Walmart and the Nintendo World Store. There's no word on price or if it comes with the game included.
That's the Japanese version of the handheld above - the promo photos Nintendo published focus more on Disney sitcom actress G. Hannelius (her stylings, not ours) than the system. We're guessing the only real difference is the logo that says World on the North American version rather than Castle - come up with your own "It's a Small World" gag here.

Owners of Pokémon X and Y can receive free new Pokémon for their game this Friday at GAME.
Pokémon X owners will receive a code for Magmar, while Pokémon Y players can obtain Electabuzz. Both are monsters from the very original Pokémon games.
What’s more, and while stocks last, gamers will also receive a free sampling pack of Pokémon Trading Cards, including cards from the recent XY expansion. Each sample pack of trading cards will feature a foil Pikachu.
No purchase is necessary to obtain either of these free gifts. Fans just need to head to the store and ask. The offer is for a limited time.
The offer is part of a renewed promotion around the brand from The Pokémon Company. It will be joined by a TV campaign designed to show how both the trading card game and video game is part of the same world. TV ads will appear from April 7th to April 27th on CiTV, Cartoon Network, Disney XD and Sky Kids.
Pokémon X and Y were huge hits on 3DS last year, and combined sales surpassed 12m in just four months.

Animal Crossing could not only be making a console return, but also be branching out onto non-Nintendo hardware.
The series’ producer Katsuya Eguchi told Polygon that while he feels the game is best suited to handhelds, the right idea could see it return to consoles – although possibly not the Wii U.
“If we were to create an Animal Crossing for a home console, I think we would really have to invent a new style that's suitable for the platform,” he said. “The environment in which the player is playing the game is very important, so we need to think that through before we start creating something like that.
"We might not have been able to do that for Wii but whether it's the Wii U or a future hardware, it's important to think about what environment the player will be in."
Even more surprisingly, Eguchi said that while he has certain reservations about the idea, there’s also the possibility that some sort of AC game could arrive on non-Nintendo hardware.
“We really use [the 3DS hardware] to its fullest to get the maximum amount of joy, so I personally don't agree with the sentiment [that Animal Crossing would work on mobile devices],” he added.
"At the same time, we don't want to force a player to be tied down to a Nintendo device. If we were to be able to do something that supports playing on a Nintendo device, something that relates to the information content of the game, something that brings players back to the main game, if it's something that can work as a catalyst to get players back into the game, it's something we might look into."
Nintendo president Iwata has already confirmed that the company is investigating how to extend its IP on to mobile, although he has insisted that this will not include porting or creating full games for smartphones.

Nintendulator SVN r1298 is compiled. Nintendulator is an open source Win32 NES emulator written in C (plus some assembly optimization). The original goal was to emulate the NES down to its hardware quirks; though it's fallen behind over the years, recent builds have caught up once again and can emulate certain behaviors most other emulators neglect to handle. However, this emulation precision comes at a price - a 1500MHz (estimated) or faster CPU is required to emulate at full speed.
Supported file formats include .NES, UNIF, FDS (fwNES format), and NSF. Mappers are handled using external DLLs, complete with extra sound channels for most games which provide them. Other notable features include writing to FDS images (by storing the differences in the SRAM folder), Game Genie support (limited to 3 codes), customizeable controllers (including 4 player), input movie recording and playback (with re-recording), AVI capturing, and a debugger.
Nintendulator SVN Changelog:
r1298
Multiple PPU updates
* Move H/V increments to the proper times based on Visual 2C02 findings
* Delay increments on $2007 read/write until the actual read/write has taken place, and use VRAMAddr directly instead of IOAddr
* When doing $2007 address increment, don't adjust H/V if it was already incremented by the renderer
* Remove a few unused savestate fields, and update savestate version to 1001

Snes9x TestBuild 20140322 is released. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan.
Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.
Snes9x TestBuild 20140322 Changelog:
- correctly parse unicode command line parameters
- minor fixes

Jakob Riedl offers the 0.95 version of " WinDS "reimplementation of the Windows XP operating system for the Nintendo DS. This utility has the distinction of running your own lua coded application, why just copy your script directly on your microSD in FAT.
Quote:
New Version Out! WinDS is a reimplementation of the OS Windows (R) XP (R) on the Nintendo DS Platform. Since i started coding Apps for the NDS, my goal WAS to write a program, called Expired WinDS, Does All which (nearly) the same as the real appy by Microsoft. In contrast to other little-NDS Operating Systems, etc. just like Woopsi. you can code your own Application in Lua for WinDS: just copy the code onto the FAT-Disk and execute it from within WinDS! This is What Makes WinDS so unique. The New Beta 0.95 is out, it features - 52 Classes That Are Within Lua already available - 25 different kinds of user interface classes - 8 different predefined dialogs Which Makes It the perfect sandbox for DS GUI. PS : More time without update means: next update Will Have Even More improvements, as i am still Developing

Press it and a menu of items Will APPEAR on the bottom screen and a description with the price displayed Will Be on the top screen. Tap one of the boxes to purchase the item if you-have the money and do not-have full ammo. Either back away from the vendor or tap the blue circle again to remove the shop menu. Will you medkits restore health to 100 When used. Will toolboxs up a barricade in the direction of you are facing. Barricades hold back zombies. Over time, zombies Will Destroy 'em your own weapons and Will deal damage to em as well (so Be Careful). Also let me know how you like the controls because i Spent a lot of time working on it. Also let me know how you feel about the overall gameplay. Is it too hard? Do you want it to be more of a slaughter fest or the need to Be Tougher enemies.

This is a partial translation patch for Magic Knight Rayearth 2nd: The Missing Colors on the Gameboy. So far, only the first two sections of the game out of three are translated and there has been a few liberties taken in the translation. Either way, a large portion of the game available to play in English. This translation is the result of a fan’s wish to actually play the Magic Knight Rayearth Games. Most are in Japanese and haven’t been translated so the author is taking it upon himself to translate the rest.

No problem, the purpose of this tool is to help remove the parental restriction added Nintendo consoles when for some reason the deconoces, was originally designed to work with 3DS only, but the author has made functional with Nintendo DSi and even Wii . Although currently only in English language, its use is extremely simple .
