New today is the Jap Version of Super Mario Galaxy
From the publisher: Become Mario™ as he traverses gravity-bending galaxies, traveling in and out of gravitational fields by blasting from planet to planet. Players experience dizzying perspective shifts as they run upside down through wild alien worlds that need to be seen to be believed. Whether you're surfing on a ray across an ocean in the clouds, rolling on a ball through a treacherous garden, or floating in a bubble over a poisonous swamp, there's no limit to the cosmic challenges you'll encounter!
Imagine a new Nintendo™ hardware without a Mario game? Impossible! Nintendo's flagship release Super Mario Galaxy for Nintendo Wii™ is in stock today, shipping as NTSC/J encoded Japanese release version at US$ 59.90 only. The game is also due later next month as US Version. Also check out Prima's Official Game Guides (Regular and Collector's Edition).
Game features:
Controlling Mario is simple with the Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™. Players move Mario with the Control Stick and shake the Wii Remote to perform a spin move or cue stars that launch him to and from planetary objects. Players can even point at Star Bits to collect them or latch on to stars to blaze a magnetic trail through the heavens.
Don't want to head into space alone? With a second Wii Remote, another player can play alongside by pointing at and collecting Star Bits, then launching them at enemies. The second player can even sweep aside projectiles or stall enemies to help make Mario's adventure easier.
Search the depths of space for all-new transformations! As Boo Mario, you can hover over the ground and even slip through walls! Or, transform into Bee Mario and buzz through the sky!

Matti has released a new version of the Online strategy game on Nintendo DS in Risk-like fashion:
30/10/07 Another beta with ad-hoc wireless multiplayer game mode based on Mighty Max's Lobby library is now available. This game mode is not yet complete, but in its current state it should be fully playable. This is what you can expect:
Debug mode (lower framerate, debug prints are enabled)
Internet multiplayer mode is disabled (when you go to network game, it tries to initialize an ad-hoc / local wireless game)
Various game features as re-joining, dropping players, finishing the game properly etc. aren't 100% functional

Alex has released a new version of his Puzzle game collection for the DS:
Everyday a beta version… you’re lucky, aren’t you?
First, the 2 “new themes”:
Western (blue)
Western (orange)
Then the list of bugs fixed:
- German description of Pyramide was making the the top screen corrupted.
- Mp3 streaming was crashing when hi-scores were beaten, it should not occur anymore
- In Unequal and Sudoku, the keyboard didn’t dislpay anymore the numbers 0 to 4, they are back again.
There is still a bug in Bridges when mp3 is playing.
As I can’t fix it -for now- you should disable mp3 streaming to play Bridges.
Anything else?

Today Rockstar announced Manhunt 2, the most controversial game of the year, has shipped to retail.
"Manhunt 2 has gone through much to reach this day," said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. "We are very excited that fans will finally get a chance to experience the magnificent horror experience we've crafted with Manhunt 2."

Rumours of Valve's mind-bending Portal game hitting Wii are, as much as we'd like them to be, not true, says the developer's marketing man, Doug Lombardi.
A story swept across the internet over the weekend saying that Valve's Portal was coming to Wii. And judging by the amount of emails we received from CVG readers, a Wii version is something that you'd all take to quite favorably.
With that in mind we spoke to Valve spokesman Doug Lombardi, who admitted it's an interesting idea but said there are no plans on the drawing board just yet.
"It's an extremely interesting idea, but there's nothing in product - not yet, anyway," he told CVG. Notice how he didn't rule it our completely? And let's face it, it would work on Wii, just a case of getting the engine up and running. We'll be keeping an eye on this one...

The wait for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for DS to hit British stores loaded with easy to read English text will go on until spring next year. Soz.
A full review of the Japanese version, which is already out, can be found here. Yes, it's brilliant, but unless you can ready crazy symbols like a ninja, you'll just have to wait.
Fans will remember the first game in the Crystal Chronicles line (released on GameCube) for its unique four-player co-op gameplay that used the GBA as a controller. The new DS quest sticks to the same co-op theme, only this time you won't have one player lumbered with carrying that bloody crystal.
Random battle encounters are also out the window here, and all bouts are fought in real time making for what Square says is "the most accessible Final Fantasy ever".
