If you were a DS owner in Japan right now, you could buy Zelda: Twilight Princess, register it online and wait for your frickin' sweet Zelda-themed feather-shaped stylus to turn up as a thanks from Nintendo - for being in Japan.
But (the chances are), you're not in Japan, you're in the UK, so you're not going to get a nice stylus as a thanks from Nintendo. You can have some Star Points on the almost pointless UK Nintendo site (which we stopped bothering with in the GameCube era), but no stylus. Sorry.
So, after looking at the picture below (courtesy of Kotaku) with envious rage, the best you can do is head over to eBay and see if you can spend actual money on one. That's what this editor will do right now.

Ubisoft has concluded an agreement to acquire the Japanese development studio Digital Kids.
Digital Kids, established in 1996, specialises in games for the Nintendo DS and has developed several successful titles for Ubisoft's Petz franchise, including Hamsterz Life.
"When it comes to Nintendo DS games, Digital Kids has demonstrated a leading knowledge that has resulted in creative animal simulation titles that appeal to Japanese and Western audiences alike, which is quite rare," remarked Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
"This acquisition attests to Ubisoft's capacity to establish successful partnerships in new territories and reinforces its advance on casual games."
No financial terms of the deal were disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close during Q3 of the 2007-08 fiscal year.

The typical four-year life cycle for games hardware is "too inflexible" for Nintendo, says boss Sotoru Iwata, who said that the company won't make a new console until it's needed.
Speaking at a recent financial briefing, Iwata said: "As we continue our research and study for new hardware, when we will be able to launch a new kind of hardware will actually depend on when we can change entertainment completely, and so have a strong impact on people around the world."
Nowadays, developers aren't restricted by the hardware as they used to be, and so the improvements that can be made to current hardware are limited. "There will certainly be a time when we have to say that we have done everything possible with the current machine, that we can never propose anything new," explained Iwata.
He added: "We long for a new weapon whenever we cry that we cannot fight anymore with the current weapons. But today's situation is such that we are not desperate for any new weapons at all.
"Scheduling for a rather fixed launch date 4 years from today, regardless of future changes in the industry and the market, appears to be too inflexible an approach to us," he went on to say.
"Also, since Nintendo's hardware engineers and software creators are always communicating closely, only when both teams agree that it is time to challenge the market with new hardware that we will launch it. So, it is not a correct observation that we are having any trouble deciding on the launch timing of the next hardware."
He went on to deny rumblings that new ideas for DS were running low. "We are not suffering from the shortage of new ideas for DS. I heard that some of the attendees to our October 10th conference were expecting to hear about a new portable machine announcement, but we never had that kind of notion in the first place," he said (via Aussie-Nintendo).
How will Wii visuals hold up in four years time, we wonder? A HD upgrade would sure be nice.

Ready your beer goggles; Midway has released the first trailer for Cruis'n on Wii, and it's looking like it should've been released in 1997 rather than 2007.
If you're familiar with the series you'll know to expect arcade racing antics where realism and car physics go totally out the window. The last few games on N64 were also consistently a bit rubbish, so we're not holding our breath for the Wii version.
Oh, and it also looks worse than most Dreamcast games. Did we mention that?
See the trailer for yourself , and pray that Midway figures out how to turn the anti-aliasing on by release.

NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams will be the first Wii game to link to the weather channel to recreate a true-to-life weather system.
The game use data streamed from the internet via the weather channel to imitate the weather in your part of the world, so if it's sunny outside, it's sunny in the game, and if you live in UK it's constantly pissing down in the game.
This feature comes into play in a new virtual pet "A-Life" mode in which you look after and breed your own creatures. The mood of your creatures is effected by the weather, making them behave in different way when depending on what it's like outside - a bit like your girlfriend.
But we're actually going to rename it the "No-Life" mode, because the bare minimum graphical detail in these first shots of the mode are as lifeless as our Wii (which broke down last week - right before the Mario Galaxy launch. Bastard).
Have a look in disgust at these screens. Are they better or worse than these shots from Cruis'n, which we this morning thought were worst Wii screens we'd ever seen?
