Wii is still going down a storm, but that hasn't stopped rumours that the console will see its price slashed by a whooping 40 percent by May.
The cost of a Wii could be cut from €249 [£199] to €149 [£119.40], with a Mario Kart bundle launched at €199 at some point this Spring, a "source of France Nintendo" has apparently told Jeux France.
The source also details a two-game bundle, titles unspecified, with two Wii Remotes included, for a total price of €249. A saucy bundle indeed.
But we find such a significant price drop very hard to believe - especially when Nintendo doesn't seem to be having any problem shifting consoles at the moment.
A less drastic price drop nearer Christmas this year, to secure Wii as the top Chrimbo gift (again), would sound more feasible to us.
We'll be in touch with Nintendo UK at a more sensible hour of the morning.
