Nintendo are known to get pissy with warez on their consoles, they are actively doing a worldwide stance against the r4 flash cart and sadly homebrew will be affected, ive recently read articles claiming that sites who log all the games pirated do damage to the Homebrew Community, im not naming the sites to start scene wars and yes they probably do some damage but these sites arent really considered Homebrew anyway and they risk Nintendos wrath that really is up to them, but today we have seen sites posting videos of a backup loader that promises to massive damage to the Wii Homebrew Scene a scene that has made massive strides with some great emulators on the horizon with most of the consoles we love emulated on the system. The posting of the videos and the way that piracy is embraced hurts the scene again and yes we risk Nintendo coming after homebrew sites infact in some ways it may serve them right but if they do it could drag the whole community in, im not sure about other sites but i dont know of any who could fight against the likes of Nintendo.
Now i know that most likely 99% of people pirate in some form or another but this could give the main companies just what they want to nail the homebrew scene down.

Since the launch of the Nintendo Channel for the Wii earlier this year, Nintendo has been providing a DS Download Service with demos of released and upcoming DS games. Wii owners can boot up the DS Download Service through the Nintendo Channel and download various playable demos directly to their Nintendo DS, using the Download Play option. It works in the same way as the in-store download stations. The third-party games get updated every week and we've got info on this week's batch to let you know a little more about what you're getting.
The week of September 15
Crosswords DS - Wordsearch
Once again Nintendo plays the Crosswords DS flipflop: Wordsearch was last week, so Anagrams returns in its own demo. The demo features three levels of the Anagram minigame. Players take six letters and try to form them into words of three or more letters using the touch screen. As players find words, the other screen displays them, along with the progress and time. There are a few different letter assortments, so players should be able to play the demo a good three or four times.
Spore Creatures
The Spore Creatures demo is like the DS version of the "Creature Creator." Players can use about half of the total pieces in the game to create their own little critter. After making the creature, players can give it a little test run around a small island to see how it moves. There isn't any actual gameplay, but it will give players a taste of how to make a creation, and what the overall style looks and feels like.
Air Traffic Chaos
Air Traffic Chaos has been on the Service a few times, but is one of the few unreleased games on the rotation. The ATC demo has both the tutorial mode and the first level of the game. It's enough to teach players how to play and let them try it out, but doesn't get into the parts of the game that are actually chaotic. Still it could be enough to pique curious people's interest in this quirky title.
Arkanoid DS
This is the same Arkanoid demo that was on the Service in June. Arkanoid DS is a remake of the classic arcade game. The demo offers five levels, showcasing different level designs. The demo has both D-pad and Stylus control and players can customize the amount of lives and the difficulty. The demo goes until players beat the five levels, or die. The demo levels are pretty easy, but it gives you a taste of what the new Arkanoid is like, complete with plenty of powerups.
Nintendo also keeps a selection of first party titles up for download. They're not cycled out as often and most of them have been there since the Nintendo Channel launched.
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir
The demo offers one of the levels for the hide and seek portion of the game. Players are given five minutes to find eight items in the level. Upon completion, players can start again, and find eight different items. We played it three times without having to repeat items.
Brain Age 2
The Brain Age 2 demo features three quick play modes. There's the Brain Age Test that will give the player an approximate brain age based on a verbal match of rock, paper, scissors. There's also a quick play training mode that shows off the rotating letters minigame, complete with touch screen letter recognition. Finally the Quick play sudoku lets players enjoy a quick sudoku puzzle in one of the better presentations for the system.
Brain Age
The older sibling of the Brain Age 2 demo. It's the same kind of deal. There's a Brain Age Test minigame that has players shout colors into the DS microphone. The training game is a simple math problem test that uses the touch screen to write. Sudoku is in this one too, which means you've got two free sudoku puzzles you can play if you get both demos.
Flash Focus
Flash Focus is a game designed to improve focus and hand-eye coordination. It features a simplified Eye Age test where players remember the direction letters are facing as they flash by on the screen. The training game is more hands on. It's a baseball minigame where players have to tap the ball to hit it. The pitches get harder each time the player connects with the ball and the game ranks you at the end.
Crosswords DS
For the non-Sudoku inclined, Crosswords DS features the classic crossword puzzles that have been gracing newspapers long before number puzzles. The demo features the classic Crosswords mode, one of three gameplay modes in the final version. Players can select the difficulty of the puzzle, as well as the option to turn on an assist mode that lets the player know if the answer is right or wrong. The whole demo uses the touch screen so players can see how well the letter recognition system works.

News/release from Sylus101
Sprite Designing/Testing/Creating/Animating On the GO!
Just so it's clear and the purpose of the app isn't in question (as I think it might be) this is intended to be a developers helper in designing/modifying sprites, particularly for use with PALib, but since there is a binary export now I'm gathering they could be used with any dev platform (not like there are many others...).
This is NOT meant to be a stand-alone a program where you make neat-o animations.

News via Nintendomax:
Kukulcan also updates its other sokoban like "New Caisse DS" which also contained duplicates on 40 levels and then fixed on the other bugs.
Quote:
It should be noted that 07. NEW FUND DS has undergone other changes, namely:
Deletion of table movements to better see the image at the top.
Fixed a bug when displaying a level too big (it remained the Tiles of column 31, when leaving, gasp in horror).

Doctors in the UK are trying to get 15-25-year-olds tested for the STD chlamydia. Get this, the way they’re getting the young adults to participate in the testing is giving them a opportunity to win a Nintendo Wii. That’s right, if you ‘pee, you can win a Wii.’ Of course if your a woman, you don’t pee but get the area ‘gamers‘ call ‘the place I’ll never see,’ swapped with a q-tip.
Apparently some young adults are buying into it, Keeley Wilson (20) said:
“I probably wouldn’t get tested if there was no incentive. But if you could win a Wii you’d probably do it even if you weren’t at risk.”
I guess the Wii is more important than the chances of her cervix, urethra, and the glands of the ‘place we’ll never see‘ all becoming inflamed because of the STD. Seriously though, have you played Boom Blox?

Konami has announced plans to release a sandcastle building game for Wii.
Good news for all those tired of old fashioned 2D sandcastle building games, as Sandy Beach is billed as "a fully 3D sandcastle building game".
Players will use the Wii remote to build their constructions, and can save photos of them in a special gallery. There's a co-op mode, and the rather exciting-sounding Crab Battle mode which sees said crustaceans attempting to invade your castle. You'll need to build strategically and fire cannons to see them off. Once that's done, you can use a metal detector to search for hidden treasures to decorate your castle with and extra cannons.
Sandy Beach is out this autumn.

We like the idea of Lost in Blue. The only problem is it makes surviving on an island seem harder than surviving a nuclear blast. But maybe the Wii version will be different.
Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked is actually the fourth game, (the previous three hit DS), and is expected to be the biggest and deepest of the series. It's more of the same concept - you survive by looking for food, making your own tools and building stuff. Let's just hope it's possible for normal people to last more than two days.
It's due out in autumn. Shots here.

We've put out a new version of take the eggs, quite a lot has changed in this release thanks to retrohead. World 2 has been added which means 3 extra stages to the game. The CPU artificial intelligence has been improved and 4 new characters have been added. There is a very small bug in this release; In rare circumstances, if the player gets hit while setting a trap (see image below) the fried egg will not appear and will be invisible. We would like you to help us try and track down the exact source of this problem (please read retroheads comment in this thread for more details if you would like to help).

News via Nintendomax
Bakaban realizes the first demonstration of its puzzle game "Orscol", in which you have to reach more possible cases in 5 seconds of the color shown on the right and therefore avoid reaching the top of the screen.
Quote:
On the plateau, squares and lines to fall s'amoncèlent. These squares are different colors. More colors are more varied it's hard. In a menu on the right, a color is displayed. It is the color erasable on the plateau. The color erasable change every 5 seconds (indicated by the discount, and an overview of the two following colors). An additional line falls with the same cadence. It must click on a square of this color to delete the plateau (which brought down the square above). If clicked a square is adjacent to another of the same color, it will also be deleted, and so on to make combo. You can also obtain advantage of points by carrying out "arial" (destroy a square chute), or "arial combo" ...
You can get bonuses and "super attacks" when during a round (5 second session), it achieves a combo more than 10 (single bonus) or 20 (super attack). In the upper screen I put three square to accommodate a wheel, which will determine what bonus or attack you win (or not). The simple bonus may be an object to freeze time, destroy a square (given that the colors are coming on random finds himself sometimes with a column of an undesirable color), etc. ... The super attacks are more effective and give rise to small animations

News/release from Nuke
As 106F contained a number of bugs in both the asm and the code, i deleted the old thread, to avoid confusion.
Lots of backend stuff was changed, to improve things at a later stage and allow us to work on Multi Dol game patches.
Once again, sorry for the delay in this release, it just took us along time to find all the problems.
If some cheat codes are still not working, PM me or kenobi the codes, these will just need an extra line or so adding to the code to fix, its nothing to worry about.
many thanks!

* GameInit() now bzero's the whole player&walls arrays before initializing
* "ArenaSize" variable had been in the style array -_- (So in online play other players didnt got the setting...)
* now up to 15 player
* Now the console scrolls down...
+ WiFi: The first part of you LAN IP will be inserted on IP-input, so no more "192.168.X." everytime, just the last numbers
+ WiFi: You can join a existing game (so you will pop up directly)
+ Now pressing B in the menu takes you back too
+ Single player: New round if you die, even if CPUs are alive

+ You can configure the buttonmap in the config now
+ Ingame: all playernames are printed on the bottom screen, stroken if they are death
+ WiFi: The clients now shows the "Player Whoever joined!" message too
- The old weird looking 3D "n00bey" removed
