Bushing over at HackMii has posted this new article:
With the kind help of naamah31 (author of WUM), James and bigwolf, I have finally gotten my hands on a filesystem dump of a Korean Wii for analysis. It’s a little anticlimactic, but we finally have some of the answers.
What surprised me most was not only that BC & MIOS were present on this unit — but they’re the old, pre-tweezer-hack versions. There goes that theory. (This means that the GameCube support is probably disabled inside the System Menu, but I haven’t dug into that yet.)
On to the subject of the common key! The Korean Wiis ship with IOS versions 4, 9, 21, 37, 40, 41, 43, and 45. The last four are unique to the Korean Wii, and are not available on the Nintendo Update Server, as far as I can tell. (I also have seen no sign of a new update server, so unless I’ve missed something, we will eventually see these appear on the same NUS server.)
As xt5 astutely noted, there is a field in the ticket structure — byte 0×1f1 — that is set to 1 in Korean tickets, and 0 for “normal” tickets. Pulling up IOS40 in IDA Pro, I tried the first thing I could think of — Alt-T, text search for “0×1f1″, and landed on this:

As is usually the case with oft-delayed titles, details concerning the mystery-shrouded Disaster: Day of Crisis have been slim indeed. Thankfully, the official Japanese site for the disastrous survival game recently added a few explanations on how you'll be guiding optimistic protagonist Raymond Bryce through his very own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
According to a translation from Siliconera, the combat portion of the title plays like a light gun shooter with a Time Crisis-esque cover system. However, you'll need to bust out your best Smooth Moves to make it through the motion-sensitive survival segments, furiously shaking your Wiimote to outrun a tidal wave, push a bus, perform CPR or place an irate phone call to a puzzlingly absent FEMA. We'll have to wait on reactions from our Eastern Hemisphere acquaintences to see how these two great tastes taste

The Australian OFLC ratings board has given Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse a G rating, which means the title should be on its way to a Virtual Console near you relatively soonish. The circle will finally be complete, as Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and Super Castlevania IV from the SNES era, are already on the download service.
So, those old enough to remember, who was your favorite playable character in the game: Trevor, Sypha Belnades, Grant DaNasty or Alucard?

Obama Says: Yes We Can is a 'Simon Says'-type game based on Barack Obama's New Hampshire Primary speech, as later turned into song by will.i.am. Watch the game create a pattern of button and direction presses, and repeat that pattern correctly to score! The more you get correct, the harder the patterns become - can you keep up?
As always, use a real DS and a flash cart for best results. If emulating, No$GBA is recommended.

The impossible happened! I actually took some time to clean up and resolve the libellen-libnds collision problems, while also transforming libellen to the traditional library.a file. I also added very primitive background handler - it works, but don’t count on it.
Download it HERE.
Please remember that the source code and library (and everything inside the zip archive) is released under the terms of the WTFPL.

Uguru formerly known as LTK has finally released his MSX Emulator for the Nintendo Wii.heres the release info;
Although long ago he showed a video of uMSX in Wii, until very recently I could not touch up the minimum information so that it can be played in a more or less profitable.
Then libero a previous version of the first official Wii, by the time its Wii version, the emulator has no sound and there is the odd bug (the mini-shot that was recorded when starting guards, does not contain the correct colors ), And some options available on the menu, are not functional. I hope that everything is remedied in the next version.
However an emulator can be charged, Roms, DSK, save and load line, using Cheats, without (I hope) many problems. If there are other bug, or want to suggest something, preferably via forum.
Let them enjoy!

Megaman has posted an update to his Gamecube Homebrew Launcher for the Wii, heres the full details:
Purpose
Launch Gamecube homebrew on Wii. Read before using! Program can be dangerous, because the flash is changed.
Changes in Version 0.2
Support for front SD slot.
Gamecube disc should work normally.
Background Information
DOL loader is patched into MIOS. If Wii switches to Gamecube mode, the DOL loader is always started. The loader will start Gamecube homebrew if loaded by GCBooterHomebrew. The loader launches the normal GC loader if no homebrew is detected. This behaviour can be disabled by reinstalling a normal MIOS. I don't have a Gamecube disc, so I don't have tested it.
Installation Steps
Copy RVL-mios-v5.wad.out.wad into root of front SD card (This file is not part of the archive and is located on Super Mario Galaxy Disc (EU)). If you use a different version, this is on your own risk. The MIOS patching wad installer will only allow to install MIOS. This can only break the GC mode. Loader should not patch any starlet code.
Patch MIOS using MIOSPatchingWADInstaller. CAUTION: I can't test if Gamecube disc are still working, but it should work! When I use a Wii Disc in Gamecube mode, I can see the normal MIOS error message, which tells that the disc is not compatible.
Copy your Gamecube Homebrew DOL into SD root as start.dol. Use Wii front SD slot.
Launch GCBooterHomebrew. This should start the the DOL on the SD card. If screen looks strange, you need to try it again. It is sometimes not working.

If Global Warming has taught us anything, it's that the sun is evil and must be avoided. Konami's bringing home all the fun of going to the shore in its upcoming WiiWare game, Sandy Beach.
This 3D sandcastle simulation, in development at Frozen Codebase, enables players like yourself to weild a Wii remote and sculp your own miniature structure. Enable "Crab Mode" and you'll have to protect your castle from invading vermin ready to collapse it to the ground.
The game, being prepped for a Fall 2008 release, features one player and co-op two player options, as well as the ability to snap pictures and save them to your photo album.
Watch for Sandy Beach to drop onto the WiiWare channel in the next few months.

I won’t lie – I was something of an otaku when I was young. (Okay, I still am; I founded the Mills College anime club, for crying out loud). I watched Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon and even Robotech, the mutant hybrid that should not have been but was somehow totally awesome. And, of course, I was into all things Dragon Ball – all the way through GT.
Dragon Ball Origins takes me back to the happy place that was after school and on Saturday mornings – somewhere between badly dubbed anime and expensive comics with thinly veiled adult humor. It’s an action-adventure in the same vein as Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass – an RPG that’s trimmed down for simple DS controls.
