Smealum we propose a new version of "Yeti Xmass (formerly Yetinoel), with a Yeti demo of an FPS that uses the same engine" Dawnseeker.
Hop, little update 3 months later!
New version of the demo with this time of the GFX lobo and some improvements to the engine. If you've already played the version of December it may not bother to test this, although I think it is better overall, it remains the same map and it is still too limited. Wink I think I have made the game a little too easy tale m'enfin. I also decided to submit the demo to the competition drunken coders whose deadline was yesterday, although I have not seen too much hope that the demo is fairly generic and very short.
In short, here are some screenshots (24bits bitmap, because I really hate people who do not have broadband), and a download link.

KingdomH realizes version 2 "5 Geometry Quiz" quiz focuses on the geometry.
First question finished. I have a music changes when going from the title screen to the question. The text "Press Start!" flashes at the bottom of the bottom screen at the title screen. You have to tap the questions to answer them.
The size of the file could be smaller, but I already have the rooms for each question and the text for the top of the screen. There just is not any way to get to these issues.
The music works again. Sorry about that. xD

News from Keshire
My project thread/blog
First some background information:
Quote
This is based on a Star Wars project I worked on (with many others) for a good 5 years (And which I'm still a fairly active forum member).
The original project was Movie Battles 2 for Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
About 2 years ago I started working on this project but had to take a break for a bit because of real life, Between then and now I lost a hard drive that contained the source for that project.
Now I'm attempting to revive it and improve on it.
I'm not an experienced coder. (I specialize in 3D animation and file specification cracking. "That's weird", ya I know, right.)
Here is what I am attempting to do (listed more for myself than for others):
Top Down Melee/Shooter hybrid
Jedi Class
Sith Class
Gunner Class (maybe mandalorian class)
Jedi/Sith uses stylus controlled lightsaber combat.
Trigger button activates force power mode.
Saber can perfectly deflect shots if hit in middle
Otherwise shots can hit the hand holding the saber
Or stagger the user if it hits the tip of the saber.
Saber versus saber clash locks the sabers together.
First to use force button knocks down the other.
Force:
Drag and drop objects for cover
Flick objects to throw them
Tap other for mindtrick
Tap self for Seeing
Gunner is a squad of 4 (3 Bots)
Tap/Hold to shoot
Collide with blocking saber will kick and knock them down.
Trigger:
Sets waypoint for nearest bot.
Tap self/other to change weapons.
Environmental hazards (Pits, force thrown objects).
Current Assets:
Attached... (I'm generous!)
Coming Soon for DS --> http://palib-dev.com/forum/index.php/topic,436.0.html

The Nintendo DSi Shop is certainly bursting at the seams this week, as not only Photo Dojo™, but in addition 4 brand new titles are added: Flips: The Enchanted Woods, Libera Wing, Flashlight and Car Jack Streets!
WiiWare - Muscle March
(NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe, 500 Wii Points)
Muscle March is a quirky Japanese action game stuffed full of macho bodybuilders. The all mighty protein powder has been stolen so it’s up to Tony and his muscle-bound crew to catch the thieves. Choose from a variety of perfectly moulded superstars and bring these terrible villains to justice. As each thief attempts their escape, they will smash through walls while making a variety of poses. You must match these poses to fit through the holes and catch up to the thieves to win back the protein powder.
Flex your muscles by yourself or with up to four friends in turn based macho excitement. For those to who want to strike a pose for a little longer, there’s also an Endless mode where players can pose until their muscles bulge and explode.
Muscle March will also be the first WiiWare title to offer a polar bear in a Speedo.
Virtual Console - Milon's Secret Castle
(HUDSON SOFT, NES, 600 Wii Points)
In a world where music is the language of the people, an evil warlord from the north arrives and captures the castle. The queen is imprisoned deep within the castle and the world's musical instruments are taken and hidden away.
Our hero, Milon, takes it upon himself to fight the warlord, rescue the queen and recover the queen's magical crystal balls - with only his wits and the magical Bubble to aid him on his quest. Help Milon along the way by looking for hidden doors, finding secret items, and defeating fierce enemies. Make sure to look for the shops inside the castle, where you can buy hints and valuable items.
And look out for Music Boxes - whenever Milon finds one, he will be transported to a bonus stage. Each music box you find will add a layer to the music in the bonus stages. Try to grab all seven music boxes to create a performance worthy of this epic game.
Virtual Console - CASTLEVANIA RONDO OF BLOOD
(KONAMI, Turbografx, 900 Wii Points)
This tenth action-packed instalment of the ever-popular Castlevania series depicts the next chapter in the epic struggle between the Belmont clan and the dark forces of Count Dracula. A true classic, this title is recognized far and wide for its beautifully rendered world, outstanding game balance and haunting CD-quality game music.
The player takes control of Richter, wielder of the clan’s traditional Vampire Killer whip, and guides him through a total of 13 stages, all filled with treacherous traps and hidden secrets. Using your legendary whip, passed down through generations of Belmonts, and a powerful selection of subweapons and Item Crash attacks, it’s up to you to destroy Dracula and his evil horde.
This time around, the Belmont hero isn't alone in his quest - if you find and rescue Maria Renard, she can be used as a playable character for even more vampire-slaying fun.
NINTENDO DSiWare - Photo Dojo™
(Nintendo, 200 Nintendo DSi Points)
Photo Dojo brings a new twist to the side-scrolling beat ‘em up – literally putting you in the middle of the action.
Using your Nintendo DSi system's camera, take photos of yourself performing punches, kicks and special moves, as well as victory and defeat poses. Next, add sound effects by recording your voice, or whatever you choose, with the microphone. Finally, snap a photo for the backdrop; the setting is entirely up to you. In just a few minutes you’ll have created your own personalised fighting game.
Battle solo against hordes of enemies, or invite a friend to capture their own likeness and fight each other in a one-on-one grudge match. And, because both players share the same Nintendo DSi, you’ll be getting up close and personal.
NINTENDO DSiWare - Flips: The Enchanted Woods
(Electronic Arts, 500 Nintendo DSi Points)
Joe, Beth and Frannie move to the country and find an Enchanted Wood right on their doorstep. And in the wood stands the magic Faraway Tree, and in that tree live the magical characters that soon become their new friends – Moon-Face, Silky the fairy, and Saucepan Man. Together they visit the strange lands (the Roundabout Land, the Land of Ice and Snow, Toyland and the Land of Take What You Want) which lie at the top of the tree and have the most exciting adventures – and narrow escapes.
Flips Interactive Books – the Fun New Way for Kids to Read.
NINTENDO DSiWare - Libera Wing
(Pixel Federation, 800 Nintendo DSi Points)
Earth Union controls a large part of outer space. All of a sudden, the connection with some of its stations is lost and there are rumours of enemy ships approaching.

When it is dark, people need a simple source of light. Flashlight changes the dual screen of your Nintendo DSi into a torch with added features. Change the colour and intensity of the light. Use your Nintendo DSi to read under the duvet or to get a serious source of light while taking night hikes.
Flashlight will also be helpful if you are stranded. You can use the warning light if your car breaks down and the S.O.S. function will come in handy if you ever get stranded on a deserted island.

From bank balances to IQ scores, there are many things people would love to see increase by 93 percent. Nintendo, for its part, is determined to significantly boost the social fun of portable gaming. Launching March 28, the new, extra-large Nintendo DSi XL™ hand-held system makes it easier for everyone to gather around and have a good time. It features 4.2-inch screens that are 93 percent larger than those on the Nintendo DS™ Lite system. The improved wider viewing angle of the Nintendo DSi XL screens also provides a new way for people to enjoy games with friends and family, making it easier than ever to watch and join in the fun.
Nintendo DSi XL will be available at a suggested retail price of $189.99, and that includes three titles that have been pre-installed on the system. These include the brain-training games Brain Age™ Express: Math and Brain Age™ Express: Arts & Letters, as well as Photo Clock, which lets users customize the pictures on the background of their clock. Nintendo DSi XL launches in both Burgundy and Bronze, with a glossy top and a matte-finish bottom for a better grip.
"For some people, good things come in big packages," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Our Nintendo DS family of systems has been going strong since 2004, and this new portable system really lets players enjoy the fun together."
Nintendo DSi XL is launching at the same time as two portable games that demonstrate the social nature of the new hardware. America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking uses the larger screens to help multiple chefs chip in to prepare delicious recipes. In WarioWare™: D.I.Y., the larger screens help players see all the details as they create and share their own microgames.
Beyond the social experience, the larger Nintendo DSi XL screens draw players in and make games feel more engaging. Eye-popping graphics are beautifully rendered. Even people who have been playing Nintendo DS games for years will see them take on a new life with Nintendo DSi XL. As always, playing is believing. To truly understand the difference Nintendo DSi XL makes, you have to experience it for yourself.
Nintendo DSi XL includes all the same features as the Nintendo DSi system, including two cameras and photo-and sound-manipulation tools. With a broadband Internet connection, you can also upload photos directly to Facebook to share with friends or access downloadable Nintendo DSiWare™ games via the Nintendo DSi Shop.
To help celebrate the launch of Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo is asking the public to choose things in their lives that they would like to see 93 percent bigger. The poll lists fun, humorous options, including sound speakers, swimming pools and furniture. The poll is a great way for people to get social as they show off their responses to their friends. People can check out the "What would you like 93% bigger?” application on Facebook® Platform at http://apps.facebook.com/ninetythree-percent or visit the @NintendoAmerica profile on Twitter to answer the poll questions for themselves.
Remember that Nintendo DSi XL features parental controls that let adults manage the digital content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit www.nintendodsi.com.

Smileynator offers version 0.25 of its adaptation of shooting game Duck Hunt (NES 1985) on the DS, "Duckhunt NDS.
Version 0.25 is out! "
Sorry for the long delay!
I fixed the bug dog shooting. You can not fire the gun when the dog is present.
Now small score''clouds''appear wherever the duck is shot.
Shooting within 100 frames == 1500 points.
Shooting within 200 frames == 1000 points.
Shooting within 500 frames == 500.
These points are able to change in the next version, then please discus.
There is now a scoring system as robust as it is, It hit your score counts.
Each 10 birds, you go to the next round. Though no animation is shown yet.
The intro bug remains. It's still a stupid fact.
This should cover the changes this far.
Feel free to note me any bugs or problems.
(No sound in this version. Since 1 sound would not convert to RAW all that well, my ears have blood running out of them.

It's anniversary time! From today, Planet Virtual Boy can proudly look back at a lifespan of 10 years. Although I don't want to make any big, sentimental speeches now, I'd like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank those, who make working on this site so much fun. To our fantastic community: Thank You!
Now that this is done, we can have a look at the presents (YAY!).
Parallely and independently of each other, two programs to convert ISX files generated by the official Virtual Boy C compiler "VUCC" to the VB ROM format have emerged. There is RunnerPack's ISX to VB ROM Converter v1.0 as well as LameBoy's VeeBee ISX2ROM v1.00. With those, it's now not only possible to compile official source code, but also to use the official compiler for homebrew. Quote LameBoy:
Quote:
I have decided to release VeeBee ISX2ROM, even though it may still have a few bugs.
ISX2ROM will convert Intelligent Systems ISX files (the files created by the official Nintendo Virtual Boy SDK for use with the VUE-Debugger) into ROM files usable by emulators or flashcarts.
This means that people can now use the official VUCC compiler to create Virtual Boy ROMs. Hopefully people will be more willing to create VB ROMs now they can use VUCC as well as GCCVB.
Oh, and HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY PLANET VIRTUAL BOY!
Thanks to those great tools, we can now also release all 4 different versions of the VUE demo program from the official dev disks released last November. Those were converted by LameBoy using his ISX2ROM.
