Platform holder Nintendo has confessed that the chances of Wii topping its 2009 sales performance over the next 12 months are slim – though the firm is still hopeful that Wii can eventually overtake PS2 to become the most successful console the world has ever seen.
“[With the] Wii, we are now in the fifth year,” Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing Cammie Dunaway told GamesBeat. “We have had extraordinary success.
“We think we can continue to sell many more Wiis. If you compare our US installed base of 28m, it is pacing at about 5m more than the PS2 was at this point in its life cycle. The PS2 went on to sell more than 50. So that means there is plenty of opportunity to sell more Wiis.
“That being said, going into the fifth year, you usually don’t anticipate selling more than you did in the previous year. What we are excited about is being able to capitalize on this great installed base and bring out great software.”

Capcom has released a new batch of screenshots for Mega Man 10 which is set for release through WiiWare tomorrow.
These new screenshots reveal Bass, who will be available to download for 200 Wii Points from Monday 5th April in the US. His availability has yet to be confirmed for the UK.
Bass made his debut in Mega Man 6 and played a starring role in the Game Boy Advance title Mega Man and Bass, released in 2003.
In Mega Man 10, Bass uses a weapon called the Bass Buster. The key fact? It shoots diagonally. YES!
Mega Man 10 will also be released for PS3 on 11th April and will follow on Xbox 360 on 31st March.

Nintendo's Cammie Dunaway isn't concerned about competition from Apple.
With games being released for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Apple could be seen a threat to Nintendo's handheld dominance but, in an interview with GamesBeat, Dunaway reiterated that DS is still number one.
"It is interesting that for all of the talk of competition from Apple last year, here in the U.S. we had our best year ever, selling 11.2 million units," said Nintendo of America's always smiling exec VP of sales & marketing.
"That has never been done by any game platform ever. Consumers are still finding fun with our products, and there is a lot of room to grow.
"If you look at the penetration of the market, the DS franchise here in the U.S. has a long way to go. In Japan, one in two consumers has a DS. Here, it is one in four. So we have room to grow."
Nintendo will be hoping that the release of DSi XL this Friday will provide a catalyst for further growth and for Dunaway (and us), the increased screen size is the main appeal.
"I think it's a fresh idea to innovate based on a larger size. The DSi XL has a 93-percent bigger screen. When people try it, they say, wow, that looks great. That will help us keep the DS business vibrant."

Genterprise has been real busy with DSiWare. With the help of Wario: Master of Disguise developer Suzak, the Tokyo based publisher made a series of straight to the gameplay DSiWare titles.
Some of their 200 DSiWare Point ($2) G.G. Series titles like Wonder Land and Dark Spirits are shooters. Others such as Black x Block and Energy Chain are puzzle games. You’ll get all of them (that’s 30 games) on a cartridge called G.G. Series Collection +. So far twenty or so G.G. Series games have been released or announced. Genterprise has to hustle if all of them are going to be online by May 27 when the compilation arrives in stores.
Unless Nintendo has something up their sleeves, G.G. Series Collection + will also be the first DSiWare collection. Maybe Skip and Q Games can follow up with an Art Style Collection for all of those Nintendo DS owners that don’t have a DSi

News/release from Smileynator
I know this has been done before.
Though that version i found just had a bird flying around, and you could shoot it + 1 score.
I want it to do everything the original game had.
I just started over and got about as far as that first demo.
See if you can find any glitches?
Press A to let a bird fly and shoot it with the stylus!
(Fun fact: The bird flight engine is the bouncy ball tutorial made by James )
