I'm posting this on behalf of someone called SoulAnger. He's the developer of a new OS for the DS called MENUdo. It's an in-development fully functional app that runs on flashcards. I say OS, because it has come a long way and resembles something of a mobile phone OS in terms of functionality. Actions speak louder than words though, so here's the latest video showing the app in action-

We want to invite you to take a trip down memory lane as the Game & Watch™ series returns. These little LCD game gems were released thirty years ago and marked Nintendo’s first foray into portable games. They were the first ancestors of your Nintendo DSi and will now be available once more, exclusively on DSiWare. The first three titles are Chef, Judge and Mario's Cement Factory.
Also on DSiWare this week: You’ll need a steady hand as the pressure is on to rescue Leon's babies from the belly of Ms. Tum Tum in SUPER YUM YUM Puzzle Adventures. And you better watch your back as gangsters are prowling the neighbourhood in Gangstar 2: Kings of L.A.
Get ready for some frantic fun this week as Diner Dash® comes to WiiWare. Help Flo complete all her tasks in the allotted time and pair up with players online to compete for the best diner in town. Or go for the almost spiritual experience of Art of Balance, a physics-based puzzler with great production values. Critically acclaimed when released in North America, it hits Europe this week!
And that’s not all for Wii! The Hanabi Festival has been a great success so far and SQUARE ENIX gives us the honour of an encore with Ogre Battle®64: Person of Lordly Caliber, the first N64 title on Virtual Console since June! There’s more for Neo Geo as well, with the entry of FATAL FURY SPECIAL, which pits fighters of the first games in this classic series against all new characters in one of the best fighting games ever made.
WiiWare - Art of Balance
(Shin'en Multimedia, 800 Wii Points)
Grab your Wii Remote and balance as many bricks into stacks as possible in this physics-based puzzler. With over 100 levels to challenge not only your skills but also your imagination, the game is easy to pick up and hard to put away.
Make the most of the dedicated two player split-screen "versus" mode for extra fun or take on the challenge by yourself.
WiiWare - Diner Dash®
(HUDSON SOFT, 1000 Wii Points)
Diner Dash®, the number one PC Action Puzzle game has landed on WiiWare. Guide Flo, an office-worker turned restaurateur, as she builds up her empire over four unique diners. Go online to face players in head to head matches. If you feel up to the challenge, join up with a friend or another player online for a Team Dash game where your team will take on six other players to see whose diner is the best in town.
Players take direct control of Flo as she runs around to seat patrons, take orders, deliver food, take payment and bus tables as efficiently as possible within the time limit allowed. Players fond of the traditional control schemes may also use a point-and-click style with hotkeys to aid Flo in her quest for customer satisfaction, which is reflected in a heart meter that empties as customers lose patience. If the meter empties completely, then the customer will leave the restaurant.
Virtual Console - Ogre Battle®64: Person of Lordly Caliber
(SQUARE ENIX, Nintendo 64, 1200 Wii Points)
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber is a tactical RPG for the Nintendo 64. Featuring a gripping storyline with multiple possible endings, and a genre-defining character class system, this strategic game has rightly retained its place in the hearts of tactical RPG fans for over a decade.
The game tells the story of Magnus Gallant, a recently graduated officer of the Palatinean Army who is assigned to the troubled southern region of his native land. There he witnesses the plight of the lower classes – victims of a tyrannical ruling elite whose only thought is for the preservation of their own lofty status. With civil war brewing, Magnus is faced with a terrible choice: to betray his own noble origins in the name of liberty, or turn a blind eye to the evils of his rotten society.
Virtual Console - FATAL FURY SPECIAL
(D4 Enterprise, NEOGEO, 900 Wii Points)
This fighting game, originally released in 1993, pits a total of 15 different fighters against each other. The cast includes the original eight characters from Fatal Fury 2, along with previously unplayable characters Billy, Axel, Laurence and Wolfgang. Finally, three characters from the original Fatal Fury (Duck, Tung and Geese) have returned to the fight.
Building on the appeal from the previous game with its two-line battle system, its special moves and its powerful finishers, and further improving on the series' formula, this game is truly worthy of the title "special". Also, if certain conditions are met, special guest Ryo Sakazaki will make a shocking appearance.
NINTENDO DSiWare - Game & Watch™
Experience a piece of Nintendo history with the Game & Watch series on Nintendo DSiWare. Each title is a perfect recreation of a classic LCD game from the early 1980s, including normal Game A and alternate Game B modes.
And no Game & Watch title would be complete without the ‘Watch’ function - each title includes a fully functional clock and alarm.
Game & Watch™: Chef
(Nintendo, 200 Nintendo DSi Points)
In Chef, you are a cook, frantically flipping food with your frying pan for as long as you can. Watch out for the pesky cat, trying to put you off by grabbing your food with a fork.
Game & Watch™: Judge
(Nintendo, 200 Nintendo DSi Points)
Judge is a game of quick reactions, starring the character that would later become known as Mr Game & Watch. Two characters hold signs, on which numbers appear after a countdown. The player with the higher number can hit the opponent, but the opponent can also dodge. Each player can also try to attack before the countdown ends, risking that they may have a lower number. Game A pits you against the computer while Game B lets you play against a friend.
Game & Watch™: Mario's Cement Factory
(Nintendo, 200 Nintendo DSi Points)
In Mario’s Cement Factory, your job is to keep the factory going. Move Mario around the platforms and elevators, pull the levers to drop cement into containers, and fill up the trucks waiting to make their deliveries. Just like other Game & Watch titles, Game B mode is the tougher challenge; with faster, randomly moving platforms.
NINTENDO DSiWare - Gangstar 2: Kings of L.A.
(Gameloft, 500 Nintendo DSi Points)
Move to the West Coast and immerse yourself in L.A. gang life with Gangstar 2: Kings of L.A. Complete 75 missions that combine the best of action and driving games.
Explore L.A.'s famous neighbourhoods, like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, downtown and the harbour and experience a unique feeling of freedom as you drive anywhere in open environments and feel free to complete missions at your own pace.
With such a thrilling storyline with unexpected developments, will you live the golden life or become just another thug?
NINTENDO DSiWare - SUPER YUM YUM Puzzle Adventures
(Mastertronic, 800 Nintendo DSi Points)
SUPER YUM YUM Puzzle Adventures is a multi award winning puzzle game featuring a chameleon called Leon. With forty eight levels across four worlds and exclusive Nintendo DSi features, players need to navigate over many hours of mind bending gameplay while they try and rescue Leon's babies from the belly of Ms. Tum Tum!
There are four worlds and 48 individual levels - there are also four mini games in total, one in each world. The game stars Leon the Chameleon who must eat his way through fruity, fiendish puzzles, licking fruit to change colour and choosing the right combinations of fruit to finish each level.

The latest Pokémon™ adventure, Pokémon™ HeartGold Version and Pokémon™ SoulSilver Version, has now arrived in Europe for the Nintendo DS packed with new features. From the earliest days of Nintendo’s portable Game Boy system, Pokémon games have made their mark. Now Nintendo has released completely updated versions of two classic Pokémon games. The new Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version games inspired by the originals have evolved to include updated graphics and sound as well as intuitive new controls that use the Nintendo DS touch screen.
Key to the game is the new Pokéwalker accessory which will allow you, the player, to interact with your Pokémon beyond the realm of the main game itself! The brand new Pokéwalker accessory is a pedometer that is exclusively packaged with, and only for Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version. It allows players to bring their favourite Pokémon with them wherever they go. Players can transfer a Pokémon to the Pokéwalker and then simply walk around in real life. By walking, players earn Watts that can be used to encounter and catch wild Pokémon or search for hidden items. The Pokémon in the Pokéwalker will gain Experience Points as the player walks, and can even go up one level when they are transferred back into the game. Players who meet another person with a Pokéwalker can also connect them wirelessly, where each of the players will then receive a gift!
The games also features detailed graphics that show off the hundreds of Pokémon that players can catch and train, as well as all the different environments. For the first time, players can interact with all their favourite Pokémon outside of battle by selecting the leader from their party to follow behind them on their travels.
As always, trading and battling with friends is a big part of the Pokémon experience. Players with a wireless broadband Internet connection can interact with their friends who have Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Diamond, Pearl or Pokémon Platinum Version games to trade or battle Pokémon via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. Players also can battle and trade with others via a local wireless connection.
FEATURING NEW POKÉATHLON, POKÉ BALLS AND MUCH, MUCH MORE…..
The new Pokéathlon - A sports festival in which your Pokémon compete against others in Speed, Power, Skill, Stamina, and Jump performance courses. Select three suitable Pokémon for each course to participate in these action-packed events and earn Athlete Points as you compete, which can then be exchanged for items. In the Hurdle Dash, for example, you will race against other teams on a track with Hurdles along the way. In the Ring Drop, your goal is to make other Pokémon drop off the Ring, or practice your snowball throwing in Snow Throw and see how many times you can hit other Pokémon. Just make sure to select Pokémon with the right attributes to help you to succeed…
The updated Pokégear feature- A tool that will be indispensible on your adventure. This device combines a phone, a map and even a radio, which add an important dimension to gameplay. You can exchange phone numbers and call Trainers you meet in the game. Sometimes, they’ll call to challenge you for a battle. Use the stylus to learn about various places around the region and upgrade your Pokégear with the Radio Card to enjoy different radio shows.
Create Poké Balls - By collecting Apricorns, found all around the Johto region, you can make seven types of special Poké Balls, including the Lure Ball, useful for catching landed Pokémon while fishing, the Level Ball, good at catching Pokémon that are at lower levels than yours and the Love Ball - good at catching Pokémon of the opposite gender!
Packed with richness, new features, and a new accessory, Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version is set to be one of the most incredible Pokémon experiences yet. Join the adventure from today as it launches across Europe for Nintendo DS family of consoles.

News/release from Ruffsta
I would like to thank eldude, for without his help it would have taken me even longer to accomplish this task. I've always wanted to make games for some kind of system, but i was limited to making them for the PC only until now.
i would also like to thank james for making this software as it is possible now for me to code stuff to be played away from the PC. Further games will be created from their original PC versions as well as a new one i have never coded for the PC yet.
my other future projects are: Shuttle Mania, Potion Frenzy and a HUGE new project - which i will keep to myself and eldude for the moment.

Alien Puzzle Wii 0.4 released by GEMISIS
Alien Puzzle Wii is a homemade puzzle game for the Nintendo Wii. The goal of the game is to get to the end of each level while collecting as many points as you can from the gems scattered throughout each level. The key trick to this game is the fact that once you start moving, you can’t stop (except for in certain cases which are talked about in the documentation). This requires precision as each level is scattered with TNT, which will explode on contact. Some of them move, some of them just sit there. Each level is unique, as is the rest of the game. Good thing you have three lives. And if you beat the level, you get to carry your score on with you to the next level. Thus, you can get amazingly high scores! You can play alone, or with a friend. Just be careful, if you collide with your friend, you both will bounce. And don’t worry, if you don’t want to play the actual game, you can always relax to some nice music via the built in mp3 player, which can be accessed by pressing the “home” button on the Wii controller. While you’re doing that, you could also make levels in your own paint editor, without even having to learn how to draw! (Described in the documentation) And with the online shop, you can download new levels for absolutely free.

Blogger Peter Smith weighs in with some possibilities for how the new Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming system will provide 3D gaming without the need for 3D glasses. The DSi has cameras, which means the 3DS will have to have them too if it's going to be backwards compatible. We've also heard rumors that the 'next DS' will have tilt-sensors better than the iPhone. With either the camera or tilt-sensors either of these 'faux 3D' systems would work. But since we've seen the DSi do this already, it doesn't seem likely that the new hardware will rely on the same old trick. Enter our friends at Engadget, who uncovered some details from Japanese newspapers. If they're right, the Nintendo 3DS will incorporate parallax barrier LCD screens from Sharp (see also this explanation of dynamic parallax barrier screens). This is the same technology used in a few '3D Laptops

Nintendo design guru Shigeru Miyamoto has admitted that the company was "not able to produce fun-enough products" in 2009, but that the current generation console market has not yet reached saturation point.
Speaking to financial website The Economist, apparently before the announcements of the 3DS, Miyamoto was asked how he interpreted the general slowdown in sales for videogames in 2009.
He suggested that "any entertainment products are less susceptible to changes in the economy", but admitted that Nintendo had not produced enough fun products during 2009.
This admission echoes comments made by Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata last October, when he stated that "we were unable to continually release strong software" during 2009.
Together with expansion Wii Fit Plus, New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the only major new release from Nintendo last Christmas, with Wii Sports Resort the only significant release during the earlier part of the year.
Despite the dissatisfaction voiced by both of Nintendo's most prominent executives the volume of new titles has not obviously increased in 2010, with the first major first party AAA title - in the form of Super Mario Galaxy 2 - not due until May in North America and June in Europe.
When asked by The Economist whether he felt the market was becoming saturated, Miyamoto answered: "Some may call 2008 the peak year for the current generation of videogames. But there is always the opportunity to further expand videogame entertainment, and invite more people to enjoy playing."
"There is no fixed demand for entertainment in general, and videogames are not an exception. As long as we can create something new, which can offer some unprecedented experience, there is always demand we can create," he added.

Actually, in my version of the front-end at least, the file paths (emu and ROM) are stored in 2048-byte strings. But, I kinda goofed because the command-line options (minus the emu executable path) is stored in a 512-byte string...
Microsoft´s docs for ShellExecute don´t say if there is a limit to the lengths of strings passed to it, so I´m going to increase it to 4K or so and test it out with a really long path.
EDIT: I increased the path variable size and also now use _snprintf() so there shouldn´t be anymore buffer overruns even if the size is exceeded (it´ll just cut off the last few options). I tested it on:
"Cocuments and Settings\My DocumentsReally Big, Long, and also Huge Test PathWhich is also nested quite deeplyAnd is used to store only a single Virtual Boy ROM ImageSpace Invaders Virtual Collection (J) [!].vb" and it worked a treat
Attached you should find a new executable to test.

You can see how the WiiWare version of Sonic 4 compares to its HD counterparts by checking out these new screenshots.
Nintendo's US website tells us that the WiiWare version will feature online leaderboards for anyone wishing to post their speed runs. However, it also says the game will feature 'Full HD resolution and wide-screen format.' Whooops.
Sonic 4 project lead Takashi Iizuka recently told ONM that all versions were pretty much identical. "Basically we prepared identical game content so users could enjoy playing with their preferred hardware platform. However, some hardware specific capabilities are implemented. For Wii, you can enjoy a special stage by using the Wii Remote's tilt control."
