Discovery of a new exploit that day " Eri HaKawai "to hack the Wii to system menu 4.3, and what with the game" Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World "feat signed delroth , Giantpune and the Team Twizere .
Quote from Giantpune:
This is another feat Wii, this time for the game "Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (RT4EAF). It works by exploiting a buffer overflow. Originally discovered by Pierre "delroth" Bourdon, he developed the exploit for the PAL version of the game and left enough information for me to develop (NTSC-U version) in a few hours!
Use:
1 - Copy the folder "Private" from the downloaded archive to the root of your SD card overwriting the pre-existing file if necessary, then install the backup on your Wii like any other backup of play
2 - Put the homebrew you want to start (there's one that is super here: BootMii v0.8) at the root of your SD card like this: "SD: / boot.elf"
3 - Run the game and load the backup "Eri HaKawai.
4 - Once the game started (and you see a dog greeting you delayed), press the PLUS (+) to access the menu of the game
5 - Scroll down to the status and press A.
6 - Then go down to the second character named "Giantpune", scroll to it and press A.
7 - If all goes well, the executable boot.elf loads from your SD card.

- Debug: utput() receives a WoopsiString reference instead of a char pointer.

You've read our Nintendo 3DS review, where we found it to be a generally fun but still somewhat flawed handheld gaming experience. Now it's been released to the world, and to the willing hands of Triforce Johnson, and we're left wondering what all of you think. We're also hearing scattered word of a supposed "Black Screen of Death," where the system indicates "An error has occurred" while playing a variety of games and has to be rebooted. We saw no such glitches in our testing, but what about you?

A new patent filing has shown off Nintendo's concept for an unreleased motion-controlled motorbike game.
The drawings, dug up by Siliconera, show how players would have controlled the game by using the Remote and Nunchuk as handle bars.
Pushing forward would accelerate your vehicle, pulling back would brake, tilting the controllers from side to side would steer and shaking the controller would initiate a turbo boost. An option for Balance Board controls was also detailed, where you'd have to lean to maneuver your bike or jet ski.
The patent also suggested that the proposed game would feature ramps and jumps. You'd control your motorcycle in the air to ensure a smooth landing by gesturing its nose up or down.
The patent mentions the game is/was in development at NST – Nintendo's US-based studio responsible for the Mario vs Donkey Kong series. It's unclear whether the project is still alive and kicking or if it has been canned.
If it has been tossed on the scrapheap, it wouldn't be the first time NST had seen a project canceled. Its proposed Wii action game Project H.A.M.M.E.R was shown off at E3 in 2006 then never seen again.

Side-scrolling SNES scrapper Brawl Brothers headlines this week's slim batch of Nintendo downloads.
First released back in 1992 as a sequel to Jaleco's Final Fight-esque Rival Turf, it's up for reappraisal this Friday on Virtual Console for 800 Points. The pack shot below should tell you everything you need to know.
Competition for your pennies comes from GO Series: Captain Sub on DSiWare, priced at 200 Points. Apparently you'll be searching the ocean for lost treasure whilst fighting off sea creatures with torpedoes. Greenpeace will love that.
The only other offering this week is a free WiiWare demo for Breakout/footie mash-up Soccer Bashi.

Nintendo has acknowledged the widely-reported 3DS bug that crashes the device and recommended that anyone experiencing it makes sure they download the latest system update.
"If anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online," read a Nintendo statement handed to Eurogamer.
"If the problems still persist we recommend they contact their local Nintendo Customer Service centre to investigate the problem further."
Reports started circulating soon after launch this weekend that many 3DSes were crashing, bringing up a black screen suggesting the owner reboot the system or get in touch with customer services should the problem persist.

We're used to buying video games and consoles from the likes of GAME, WHSmith and supermarkets. Petrol stations, not so much.
Oil spill giant BP, however, hopes to change all that. It's become the first non-traditional outlet to sell the Nintendo 3DS, Marketing Magazine reports.
It's available to buy in around 100 of its service stations across the UK for £229.99. Games are available, too.
You can get the Nintendo 3DS a lot cheaper elsewhere, of course. Guess that's the price you pay for convenience.
Have you bought a Nintendo 3DS from a BP forecourt? Let us know in the comments. Oh, and if you spot one, take a picture while you're there.

Nintendo director of PR Mark Franklin has told press that his company has no problem working with small developers, as long as the content is of a sufficiently high standard.
Speaking to Gamasutra, Franklin made clear that the platform holder has nothing against independents, and has had positive experiences in the past.
"Nintendo always appreciates good quality content regardless of whether that's coming from an indie developer or a more established publisher," said Franklin.
"For example, we've worked with 2D Boy, the people behind World of Goo for WiiWare. This is a group of guys who don't even have an office. So we embrace that kind of independent spirit and it's ultimately the most innovative content that will rise to the top."
His comments seem to be intended to take some of the sting out of Reggie Fils-Aime's recent statementwhich said that Nintendo were not looking to do business with 'gargage developers', itself seen as an extension of Satoru Iwata's GDC keynote expressing concern about a flood of free or low-priced mobile and social titles.

Lavalit have released a new SVN build of Openbor for the Dreamcast, Wii, Wiz, GP2X, Dingoo, PC, Linux and PSP
OpenBOR
----------------------
OpenBOR is a continuation of the Beats Of Rage 2D game engine, which was originally
created by the wonderful folks over at http://www.senileteam.com.
History
----------------------
In 2004, Senile Team released Beats of Rage, a free beat-'em-up for DOS inspired
by SEGA's Streets of Rage series and using sprites from SNK Playmore's King of
Fighters series. The game spread only by word of mouth, but it nonetheless
amassed popularity very quickly. Senile Team soon released an edit pack allowing
anyone interested to create a mod for the BOR engine.
In 2005, Kirby2000 asked Senile Team to open the source code to BOR. They
agreed, and OpenBOR was born. Development on the engine was continued by the
community, and still is to this day.
Heres whats new:

The Pokémon franchise is commonly criticized for refusing to change between generations -- luckily for Nintendo, one of the elements that doesn't seem to change over the years is all the mad, mad money each new installment pulls in. Nintendo of America recently Tweetedto inform its followers Pokémon Black and White have sold 2 million units in the U.S. during their first two weeks on store shelves.
On top of the 5 million-plus copies that have sold in Japan, we think it's safe to say that gamers aren't scared off by all the similarities to previous iterations of the franchise. We're a little worried about the game's success, though -- after all, it's going to be rather difficult to be the very best (like no one ever was) when over 7 million people share our aspirations.

Trust us when we say this: you were lucky not to have weathered NYC's shockingly cold East Village this evening. No matter how much you want a Nintendo 3DS -- nothing was worth the blistering wait.
Except, to the hundreds of folks munching down hot dogs and giant pretzels (not to mention the free tacos), and happily donning 3DS-branded woolen caps and tees, the cold wasn't such a big deal. As we approached the front of the line, blankets and makeshift blanket forts were keeping the most loyal -- or perhaps the craziest? -- warm in the last painful hour, with smiles as ubiquitous as the blankets.
The cold, it seems, may have pushed some people off. As you'll see in the gallery after the break, the 3DS's big coming-out party could've probably used a few more attendees lining up to get inside. We're sure Nintendo will have no problem getting rid of consoles at launch and in the coming weeks, but the catering company from tonight's event is likely gonna need to get rid of a few hundred extra hot dogs.

We've seen portable GameCube mods before, but the CCube (Compact Cube) built by one Jonathan Shine may be the smallest. Created using a GameCube, an old answering machine case, plastic cement and many coats of paint, the project took fifteen months to complete -- much longer than the original two weeks John had estimated.
You'll find a video of the CCube after the break (skip to 2:20 for gameplay). With the disc drive actually located outside the case, it's worth noting that it's a tad on the noisy side, but impressive nonetheless. Then head over to the Mod Retro Forums for a detailed look at the CCube's construction.

You've already made the biggest decisions regarding your upcoming acquisition of the Nintendo 3DS: What color should you buy? What launch titles are worth your time and money? Shouldn't you wait for that Zelda jam? However, we'd wager that one of your most important decisions remains unmade: Which accoutrements should your purchase to compliment your new, handheld friend? (That's French for "video game accessories," we believe.)
Power A and PDP have each revealed their Nintendo-licensed suites of cases, chargers and cleaning kits -- all of which are available to order from their respective sites. We're confident that between the two of them, all your needs are accounted for. Need a standalone car charger? No probs. A businesslike, faux leather case? Oh, here it is. How about a Rainbow Telescoping Stylus Pack? We don't even know what that is, but we want one.

March 26th, 2011, 01:35 Posted By: wraggster
Instructables user [Bruno] recently constructed a fun little toy that brings a bit of the Mario nostalgia out of the video game universe and into ours. His Super Mario coin block is instantly recognizable from the first Mario game and performs just as you would expect it to. Punching or tapping the bottom of the block releases coins one at a time, complete with sounds straight from the game.
The coin block is constructed from thick cardboard and wrapped in color mock ups of the in-game block. Inside, a spring-loaded tube of coins is placed above a launch arm which is also connected to a spring. A servo actuated arm pulls the launch arm down, dropping a coin from its tube on to the launch arm which is then flung from the top of the box once the servo arm rotates far enough. When this occurs, the built-in MP3 player is triggered to play the “coin sound” from the game. A 555 timer is used to ensure the servo actuated arm rotates once per activation, and a LM386-based amplifier is used to increase the output volume of the MP3 player, both of which operate using rechargeable batteries.
Be sure to check out some of the inner workings as well as the final product in the videos embedded below.

You may remember Duke Nukem Trilogy as a trailer and nothing else, but allow us to refresh your memory about this particular illusory Duke Nukem game: it was a set of threeDuke adventures announced by Deep Silver and Apogee for PSP and DS.
But then the games lost their Duke license ... or something, and the first one, Duke Nukem: Critical Mass, was being developed as "Extraction Point: Alien Shootout." And now it's back as Duke Nukem: Critical Mass, and coming out in Europe on April 8. Publisher Deep Silver tells Joystiq that it is still slated for release in North America, with a release window around May.
In addition, Apogee tweeted that "The Duke Nukem License was never yanked. Apogee owns the agreement for the license, not some third party work for hire developer." Faced with that curveball, we've asked Apogee and Deep Silver exactly what happened, and exactly what is happening. All we can say -- and this is advice that's backed up by recent events -- is don't trust anything Duke-related until you see a game in a store.

If you didn't pre-order a 3DS for today's UK release -- and you want a 3DS -- Nintendo would like to inform you that you don't have to freak out and rip a display unit out of a store kiosk. Well, that's a bit of a paraphrase.
"We have well in excess of the pre-orders available," Nintendo UK's James Honeywell toldEurogamer. He said that there is "literally no reason" shoppers wouldn't be able to buy a 3DS this weekend.
You might not have to scramble to secure a console, but if you're interested in one, haste may still be in order -- at least, according to Nintendo, who kind of wants you to buy a 3DS right away regardless. The discounts that UK retailers have been offering for the system will dissipate after the launch period, Honeywell said. "I'm not sure a lot of those offers will be there for the long term. Those are great offers for the launch. There's huge amount of noise and hype around the launch. Those prices will start to revert a bit."

Got a Nintendo 3DS? Haven't opened it yet? Changed your mind and fancy selling it for more than you bought it for? Then you're in luck. UK shop CEX will buy your boxed Nintendo 3DS for an incredible £215.
The 3DS is on sale for as little as £175 in the UK. Round our way there's a GAME next to a CEX.
To nab CEX's offer, you can either take the console down to your local store or put in a selling order online.
CEX will give you an exchange value of £220. It sells it for a whopping £280.
CEX's pricing is puzzling given the free availability of the console, which went on sale in the UK last night.
Nintendo told Eurogamer yesterday that the Nintendo 3DS will not sell out, and that there is plenty of stock to go around.
CEX's pricing lowers depending on the status of the 3DS. It'll give you £205 for an unboxed console, or £215 exchange.
