AgentQ has expressed some interest in the DSi-Mode as offered by the iEvo. While not much has been discussed and no files have been released the fact that he is interested is more than enough to get some Homebrew enthusiasts excited. Read his comments via the link below and be sure to post your thoughts.

AriaDS is a puzzle game where the goal is to reach the end of the level while avoiding the traps. This project is a 1st by developer Dr. Razor, and released for the GBATemp Homebrew Bounty. The GBATemp Homebrew bounty is our 2011 Homebrew contest with more than $5,000 up for grabs.
Hi, I present you my first homebrew game called AriaDS.
It's inspired by a flash game, called "Spike Tend To Kill You" by Noxious Hamster.
The goal is to reach the end of the level in minimum time while avoiding the many traps.
There's actually a few levels. I'm planning to make a Level Creator on PC/MAC.

Instructables user [dany32412] recently built what is arguably one of the smallest NES consoles we have seen to date. Using a Nintendo on a Chip (NOAC) board, he has fabricated an NES system that fits inside a hollowed out NES cartridge.
He purchased a NOAC system at a local resale shop and got to work disassembling it. As most of these devices typically consist of a game system built into the controller with a Famicom game slot added for good measure, he knew he had a lot of work ahead of him if he was going to convert it to work properly with actual NES games and controllers.
He hacked apart most of the NOAC’s board, leaving just the CPU and the controller interface chip. He then built a custom controller interface board in order to properly map his NES controller’s buttons to the pads on the NOAC. He wired in a 72-pin NES cartridge slot, then added a pair of controller ports and a power switch. Once he had everything connected and tested, it was all secured in a Super Mario Brothers NES cartridge.
Check out the video below of his mini NES in action.
If you can’t get enough Nintendo hacks, be sure to take a look at this portable NES as well as this emulator-based NES in a cartridge.

The Nintendo Entertainment System is by far the most popular 8 bit post crash video game system. Therefore, the NES gets all sorts of mods and hacks done with it, but there is not a whole bunch of noise for its bigger badder 16 bit brother the Super Nintendo. Have no fear though [Vigo the Carpathian] (I did not know it was the season of evil!) helps to correct that in his first Instructable, turning a SNES into an all in one classic video game player.
Using the shell of a Super Nintendo the bottom half includes ZOTAC IONITX-C-U mini ITX motherboard, and a dual SNES controller port to USB that fits in the original openings to use the real deal controllers. A USB port is also mounted for some wireless dual shock action.
On the top half, the eject button, and cartridge slot flaps have been removed and speaker grill cloth was added to provide venting. Near the back of the unit, SD-card to SATA adapter provides storage, which we think is a good idea for cheap SSD storage. Micro switches are also rigged up so that the original power and reset buttons control the same computer functions.
Clean looks, small form factor, join us after the break for a quick video.

News via Romhacking.net
The team that’s responsible for the Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon Spanish translation is now announcing that the patch has been released.
All the English texts on the game have been completely translated into Spanish, and also some of the Japanese texts found on the Maps that the official translation forgot to localize.
As usual, this translation needs the On-the-fly Riivolution file patcher, that allows legal users to play their original copies translated, with no need for the creation of backups. The patch works in the PAL version but we believe it will work on the NTSC-USA as well.

The 3DS racked up the highest ever day-one US sales total of any Nintendo handheld, the platform holder has claimed.
A Nintendo statement read, "US day-one sales numbers for Nintendo 3DS were the highest of any Nintendo handheld system in our history.
It declined to offer exact figures, adding, "More details about US sales numbers will be made public on April 14, when first-week US sales figures will be tallied by the independent NPD Group.
"Nintendo worked hard to get as much product as possible to retailers on day one to meet demand, and we will continue with these efforts moving forward."
Earlier this month Nintendo boasted of record-breaking pre-order numbers. Post-launch feedback from UK retailers suggests business has indeed been brisk on these shores, if not quite as gangbusting as Iwata and co. might have hoped.

It's unlikely that Nintendo's next home console will be built around 3D visuals, so says NOA chief Reggie Fils-Aime.
During an interview with CNN following the 3DS launch at the weekend, Fils-Aime said "Glasses-free is a big deal. We've not said publicly what the next thing for us will be in the home console space, but based on what we've learned on 3D, likely, that won't be it."
It seems that Nintendo only believes in 3D if special glasses aren't involved - a feat which, given Fils-Aime's comments, it currently views as out of reach for home consoles.
"I think at Nintendo, we realise that any sort of goggle-type 3D technology was not going to work," said 3DS creator Hideki Konno elsewhere in the piece while discussing Nintendo's new handheld. "In order to make 3D technology viable with video games, we thought we needed to have glasses-free 3D."
Nintendo has remained tight-lipped about its plans for a successor to the Wii. Back in November CEO Satoru Iwata told investors, "We are of course studying and developing the next console to Wii. However, there is a big difference between studying a product and announcing what it is and when we will release it."

Nintendo has responded to a flurry of reports of crashing 3DS consoles, which show a black screen and an error message telling players to reboot or contact customer services.
The official line is that downloading the latest firmware will fix the issue, although Nintendo recommends contacting a service centre if the problem persists.
"If anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online," the platform holder said.
"If the problems still persist we recommend they contact their local Nintendo Customer Service centre to investigate the problem further."
No official sales figures are available for the 3DS yet, which launched in Europe last Friday.

A second physical teardown evaluation has confirmed earlier reports of the cost of a 3DS' components at $100.71 (£62.83) including manufacturing.
Last week, a similar teardown by UVM Tech Insights estimated the total cost at £61.76 with an estimated cost to retailers of £170.
The latest piece by piece deconstruction, by IHS iSuppli reveals individual component cost evaluations as well as an overall cost, unsurprisingly singling out the dual-screen display as the costliest.
The addition of 3D to the dual screen unit is estimated to have only cost an extra $11.85, although that still represents the single largest gain in component cost over the DSi. Full details of the breakdown are below.

March 30th, 2011, 00:47 Posted By: wraggster
Nintendo of America has claimed that the 3DS has achieved the highest day-one sales of any of its handhelds to date.
It did not go into any detail, but said more information would be made available next month by the NPD Group when it gathers first week sales for the system.
"US day-one sales numbers for Nintendo 3DS were the highest of any Nintendo hand-held system in our history," said the company, reports IndustryGamers.
"Nintendo worked hard to get as much product as possible to retailers on day one to meet demand, and we will continue with these efforts moving forward."
In the UK sale figures haven't been forthcoming. Nintendo has promised to release figures later in the week, telling GamesIndustry.biz that an initial problem with data monitor Chart-Track caused a delay, and indicating that it will group European numbers together stating "we're just waiting for final numbers from other Euro markets before we announce" details.
Chart-Track also told GamesIndustry.biz earlier in the week that it had done an initial tally of sales but "may change our estimated coverage" - meaning the percentage of the market where it does not receive solid sales data from retailer partners.
Despite an expected strong start, retailers in the UK still have enough stock of the console to meet demand.
It emerged today that specialist retailer GAME had given its UK stores permission to buy new stock from rival supermarket Tesco in order to offer second hand deals to customers, but with stock still in plentiful supply that plan may have backfired.
Nintendo told GamesIndustry.biz that it does not anticipate supply problems as it has done in the past with the Wii.
"We are confident that we have a good enough supply of stock in the market to continue to meet demand," said a spokesperson.
Software for the system entered the UK charts this week, but Capcom's Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition was the only 3DS-exclusive game to break the top five.
Warner's multiformat LEGO Star Wars III took the second place, but GAME had warned that stock of the 3D edition was tight in the UK.

Retailer confirms employees were told to use rival price offer at launch to gather pre-owned stock
Store staff at GAME were sent to Tesco during last week’s launch of Nintendo 3DS in order to buy hardware and software stock at the supermarket’s reduced price.
An internal document uncovered by Eurogamershows that GAME stores were encouraged to take advantage of Tesco’s £175 offer for the new handheld using money from the tills.
“Whilst we are unable to competitively match this offer in terms of a mint price, it offers a great opportunity to gain 3DS consoles and games for your store’s pre-owned stock” the document says.
Staff were given £209.90 – the price of a 3DS and a game under Tesco’s deal – and then told to trade it in to their own store as pre-owned stock. Multiple trips of £1049.50 were authorised – the equivalent of five bundles – and the document featured a list of priority software, including LEGO Star Wars III, Super Street Fighter IV and Nintendogs + Cats.
The purchased 3DS units were then sold to customers at “the same price as mint due to expected supply shortage”, according to the document. However, stores were instructed not to sell this pre-owned stock before the mint supplies ran out.
“Some of our stores wanted to move quickly last weekend to build their pre-owned stocks of 3DS at the same time as their local competitors, so we gave them a process to do that,” said a GAME spokesperson told Eurogamer. “It was not mandatory, and happened in small volumes.”

Awesomisoft proposed the version 0.4.8.0 of " DS App Studio , IDE facilitating the de développement sur Nintendo DS homebrew.
Version: 0.4.8
Build: 6 March, 2010
Hey All!
I have finally updated DS App Studio with the new and improved 3D engine implemented into DS App Studio. Many new features have been added to the software, and there are many new things you can do in DS App Studio, such as:
• New 3D model loading(requires converting, which converter is included with DS App Studio)
• Added controls to interface(such as the new 3D model workspace)
• New start page
• Better image graphics(improved using a different format)
• New options, such as if you want to delete the build files
• Updated syntax(I will make a new manual for the latest version soon)
• Improved file structure(making sure to save space)
• Model viewer within model dialog
Here are a few bugs I fixed along the way while developing DS App Studio:
• Fixed the background glitch(still glitches, but is still better)
• Project glitch(where people would create projects, but it would say it didn't exist)
• Fixed the plugin problem, where the plugin would be corrupt
Here are things I have thought about changing or adding in the future:
• New DS App Studio file format(*.dsp)
• Better model dialog
• More project selections(such as DSGDK project)
• More syntax for logic
• A more efficient debugging process

News via http://www.nintendomax.com/viewtopic...d489ce5c7a4cd3
BassAceGold proposes the release of its 2-3 and 2-5 alternating menu plugin for the linker only SuperCard DSTwo " BAGPlug .
Notable features & Quick instructions:
Installation:
- (OPTIONAL) format sd card to fat16
- Place _bagui folder on root of card
- Copy DSTwo.nds and boot.ini to _dstwo folder on root of card
-(OPTIONAL) Configure emulator support via arg files (See "Adding new file support:" below). Binary locations may need
to be updated to their current path on your card.
Skinning support:
-png files, 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit and 32 bit bitmap files
*NOTE* backgrounds must be 16 or 24 bit bmp so fast rendering can be used for a smoother browser
-Windows and sub windows are just color codes defined via the skin.ini file. These color values are 16 bit colors, the included ColorConvert.exe program can be used for
converting 24 bit RGB color values to 16 bit color values (PA_RGB in the program)
Custom icons:
-uses 32 x 32 bitmap files
-must be named the same as the file with a .ico extention in the same directory eg OR they can be placed in a directory as defined in the current skin.ini under "Custom_Icon_Folder".
eg:
BAGSFC.plg - the file you want to have a custom icon
BAGSFC.ico - the icon file
Game Covers
- can be any size as long as it fits on screen
- can be either png or bmp files
- must be named exactly the same as the game file excluding the file extension
-CoverArt.ini file must be present in game directory
- ini file example:
**********************
[Cover Art]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/cover art/nds
#image type
type = png
**********************
Media Player:
-Mp3, Ogg, Wav supported.
-All songs in current directory as the current song being played are automatically queued for automatic track changes
-Music player can be backgrounded (Press X or the backgrounding icon) for file browsing while listening to tunes
Settings menu:
-Allows to instantly swap skins with no rebooting
-Contains settings for various display options (show all file types, show file extensions, hide folders, open last folder, enable or disable short names in the favorites menu)
*NOTE* Hidden folders are defined by the first character in the folder name. folder_hide_val in the settings.ini can be changed to reflect which character to use.
Default is the underscore ( _ ) character to denote hidden folders
Supported File formats:
-Standard supported files include PLG, NDS (homebrew and commercial via EOS 1.11), SNES file formats (including zip archives), Mp3, Wav, Ogg.
-New file formats can be added via arg files (in /_bagui/ext folder) for programs which can accept boot args
-File formats can be set to open in multiple different programs
--eg: a zip file can contain a snes rom or a gba rom, a pop up will come up and ask which program to launch said file in. This program list can be edited in the arg files for the specified file type
Adding new file support:
Programs that support launch arguements can be used open specific files selected within BAGplug. For example an emulator such as nesDS which can open .nes files.
*Example setup using nesDS*
First, a .arg file must be created in /_bagui/ext/ which will contain the instructions for launching .nes files within the menu.
The name format of .arg files is quite simply the extension of the file format to support with a .arg extension. In this case, the file will be called "nes.arg".
Format of .arg files
nesDS://Title of the program
"/ _bagui / NesDS / nesDS.nds" / / file path to the program binary
[$PRGMPATH$,$FILEPATH$]//launch arguments
;
- $PRGRMPATH$ will pass on the file location of the launched program to the program itself, this is standard.
- $FILEPATH$ will pass on the rom location from the menu to the program, this is what is needed for the program to load the correct file.
- There are no limits as to how many arguements to pass on to a program however the program will only take what it needs.
- Order of args may vary depending on programs, so be sure to watch out for that
More than one program can be added to a .arg file. When the file is launched, the open with dialog will open allowing you to choose which program to use. See smc.arg for an example
Favorites menu:
-Any supported file type can be linked in this menu (snes roms, zip files, nds roms, image files, ogg and wav files, etc)
-Favorites list is just a text file containing file paths to all the files you want to save for quick launching
-Can add files to the favorites list via the normal browser, or remove files within the favorites menu (select button)
Copy/Cut/Paste/Delete
-Pressing /select/ on a file or folder brings up the file operations menu where you can selected an option
-Files will be pasted in the current directory you are browsing regardless of what is high-lighted
Input:
-All menu have some sort of pad and stylus input
-if L and R buttons are pressed, you can take a screenshot of the both screens
