A new version of marioEtool was uploaded with a fully unlocked save (all stars and all mini-games unlocked using the .dss file creator “SMDS.Save.Modifier.v1.0”) - this is for unlocking your Mario64 DS cart, just copy the included files onto SuperCard, run the nds and copy the save game from SRAM to EEPROM to unlock your Mario game.

Again with the stagnation. I've been thumping out DSemu-ng for about a month and a half, so I'm taking a bit of a break for a while. I've got another small project I'll be sporadically working on, though; it's a Trefunge debugger. You can find it at trefunge.com; there's not much content there right now, but I should have something up soon. I have made the decision to move away from SDL for sound more permanently now, since an alternative was suggested to me. PortAudio is a simple wrapping API for low-level sound, which means I can still have portability, without all the cruft that SDL provides. Before I take that break, I'll mention that I have PortAudio in the APU now; it initialises and shuts down correctly, and even spits output (a sine wave I've hardcoded in). I'll try to get DMG sound working at a later time.

Well, I was sidetracked and sick over the weekend so I didn't get nearly as much done as I had planned. As such, I'm delaying my release of the lib until I have time to finish things and to them right rather than just hacking them together. The only thing that sucks about setting deadlines is that you have to keep them I regret disappointing everyone like this, but I know I would rather have a lib that was fairly complete and better tested than one that was incomplete and thrown together. So... Hate me if you must, but we'll all be happy when I do get it all done.

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are pleased to announce the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame released today for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and Windows PC. Launching in conjunction with the Warner Bros. Pictures film based on J.K. Rowling's fourth book, the game allows players to experience thrilling moments of the movie and master magic in cooperative play with up to two of their friends.
"The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame offers Harry Potter fans and gamers alike a chance to explore the adventures of the young wizard and his friends in a whole new way," said Harvey Elliott, Executive Producer at EAUK. "We worked closely with David Heyman, the film's producer, to ensure a synergy with the overall look and feel of the film. The game is cinematic and immersive, and we're looking forward to getting it into players' hands."
"The extremely rich Harry Potter world captured in both the film and the book is brought to life in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame with a completely interactive experience," said Jason Hall, Senior Vice President for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "We worked closely with EA to ensure this latest edition to the Harry Potter videogame franchise is a great action adventure game, depicting the magical story for players."
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth competitor in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament and must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, enchanted maze. Players will experience all the adventures of the movie -- from the Quidditch World Cup campsite to a heart-stopping duel with Lord Voldemort himself!
The magical world of Harry Potter comes to life with in-game characters that look like their big-screen counterparts for the first time and nearly a dozen cinematic locations that mirror those in the upcoming film. Additionally, Academy Award-nominated actor Ralph Fiennes carries on his role of Lord Voldemort from the film by lending his voice talent and likeness to the game.
In another first for the franchise, players can join forces with friends to combine and cast spells cooperatively creating more powerful magic than ever before. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all playable characters in this action-packed game where magic is everywhere!
The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame was developed at EA's UK studio and has a US MSRP range from $24.99 - $39.99. The console and PC platforms are rated "E10+" and the handheld versions are rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB.
Coming soon, the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire videogame will make its debut on the PSP (PlayStationPortable) system. Gamers will engage in thrilling, exclusive mini-games via cooperative wireless gameplay.

Nintendo of Japan has started giving away the controller you see pictured to the right of this news. The controller will be made available to Club Nintendo platinum members in the next few weeks, free of charge, and unfortunately for we western types, in Japan only.
But what is it? No, it’s not an actual Revolution controller. Aside from the fact that there would be no point in releasing controllers without accompanying hardware, Nintendo would not be best pleased with letting its rivals tinker around with the innards of the much-vaunted revolution in gaming it has planned.
It’s actually a universal television remote, designed we imagine to sit on the coffee tables of Nintendo enthusiasts while they await the all-new machine, expected to be launched around the world starting in Japan in June 2006.
As mentioned a couple of paragraphs ago, there are no plans for the eBay-igniting piece of memorabilia to see a release outside of Japan right now, though given Nintendo’s recent relaxation of cross-border promotional activities, there is some hope.
We’ll keep you updated.

Nintendo has launched NintendoWiFi.com to provide DS gamers with all the information needed to get online with the dual-screened handheld.
The site will have forums, technical support, hotspot lists and FAQs to make sure playing online with your DS is as painless as possible. There will also be a section where high scores and fastest times can be posted, so you can rate yourself against the best in the world.
As we revealed last week, Nintendo will be launching its UK DS WiFi support at the end of the month and the service will allow you to play games like Mario Kart with DS users right across the globe.
Currently only the US part of the site is live but the UK will soon have its own localised area with all the relevant information. There's no confirmed date as to when this will go live but, rest-assured, it will be up and running in time for the 18 November UK DS WiFi launch.
Nintendo's DS WiFi connection will be launched in the UK on 18 Novembe

Nintendo has gone on record to dismiss rumours that highly anticipated adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will no longer appear on the GameCube.
Speaking to our sister site, Eurogamer, Nintendo UK's PR Manager said: "Nintendo has always said that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will appear on Nintendo GameCube and this is still very much the case."
When Nintendo issued a statement in August announcing that Twilight Princess had slipped to 2006, many anticipated a first-quarter release. But when the game didn't appear on Nintendo's Q1 release list announced late last week, rumours began to fly that the game would launch on the next-generation Revolution console.
One journalist questioned Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime on the subject at last week's Gamers summit. Fils-Aime, who said he was speaking on behalf of both Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and designer Shigeru Miyamoto, said that all parties concerned wanted to see Twilight Princess on the GameCube.
The game was originally due out in this Christmas, but a delay until 2006 was announced in August. Nintendo said the extra development time was needed "to add some incredible new elements" to the game.

Farming simulation and adventure game. Choose to play as a girl or a boy and start life in a farming village with the goal of becoming an expert farm manager. Taking over your own farm, you raise plants and animals, catch lots of fish, build up your farm, and see your character grow into adulthood. The game features cows, horses and sheep, among other animals, but this time around, if you don't have a gate around their grazing area, they may get out from your farm area and, when night comes, get attacked by wild dogs. You also have added freedom with your planting, as you can now raise plants outside your own farm area. Once again, interacting with town folk and falling in love are major points of the game. Your choice of love interests changes depending on your choice of boy or girl at the start of the game.

News from Lik Sang
While US gamers still await the release of the first Naruto title, we importers are years ahead, about to enjoy Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4. So it should come as no surprise that the four player anime fighter is at the top of our pre-order charts, and while we wait for the last two short weeks before its release, let’s see what's going to make this the best Naruto yet.
• Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4 TV Commercial (1.2mb, 0:15, WMV)
Gameplay wise the action is hotter and more balanced than ever before with new features like everyone being able to side step while running, new and unique team specific super moves, and the ability for Naruto to unleash his demon fox from within any time he has a full chakra meter. Speaking of which, with an all new 3-man tag team mode, if you're in trouble just switch to one of your partners and while that character is off resting they'll regain their chakra.
Three of the new stages revealed so far include the roof of Konoha Hospital (Ep. 107), Orochimaru's Secret Lair (Ep. 135), and the plains from the Lee vs Kimimaro battle (Ep. 123-127). At the time of writing too, seven new characters have been announced. These start with the 14 year old members of Sound 4 like Jirobo, whom with unbelievable physical strength can actually tear boulder-sized chunks of dirt from the ground and slam them into his opponents! Then there's Kidomaru, packing six arms and the ability to create spider like webs, who loves toying with enemies before finishing them off. Sakon/Ukon are next, two brothers not just strong and quick on their feet, but also both inside the same one body. Trust me; you don't want to be on the receiving end of a punch if both of them are putting their strength into it! Last for the team is Tayuya, a foul mouthed ill tempered girl, but whose main weapon is a flute used to summon powerful demons and to create illusions.
Also fighting this round is Kaguya Kimimaro, who at 15 years of age is the last living member of the Kaguya Clan, famous for being able to manipulate their own skeleton frame. Then there's Yakushi Kabuto, 20 years old and by failing exams on purpose is secretly a much greater fighter than his Genin level ninja would lead opponents to believe. Finally Hoshigaki Kisame joins in, a 23 year old deadly terrorist Shinobi trained for evil purposes, and is well feared with very good reasons.
Beyond the seven newcomers above, here are 27 characters that just wouldn't turn down returning for a good fight in Naruto 4:
• Uzumaki Naruto
• Uchiha Sasuke
• Haruno Sakura
• Hatake Kakashi
• Umino Iruka
• Rock Lee
• Hyuuga Neji
• Tenten
• Maito Gai
• Nara Shikamaru
• Yamanaka Ino
• Akimichi Chouji
• Inuzuka Kiba
• Hyuuga Hinata
• Aburame Shino
• Gaara
• Kankuro
• Temari
• Jiraiya
• Orochimaru
• Tsunade
• Sarutobi - 3rd Hokage (Sandaime)
• Mitarashi Anko
• Uchiha Itachi
• Haku
• Momochi Zabuza
• Mizuki
While there's no doubt fans of the anime and manga will get more out of Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4 than anyone else, there's also no denying the title can't be beaten as a full on four player fighter with far more unique and individually styled characters than anything else out there. Whether or not you know why Naruto can summon a bunshin clone of himself in battle, or turn into a giant nine tailed fox, doesn't make the moves any less cool
For those who haven't pre-ordered Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4 yet, new orders are welcome anytime, and due Nov 21st, the game is of course eligible for our Free Shipping Worldwide promotion as well.

News from Lik Sang
The entire Mario gang is back for the seventh installment of the incredibly popular Mario Party franchise, but this party's about to get a lot bigger! With the ability for two people to share one controller, eight gamers can now do battle with each other at once! There's six new boards taking you around the world to China, Netherlands, Egypt, Venice, the US and Bowser World, 86 new mini games, and two new characters, Dry Bones and Birdo. The microphone peripheral from Mario Party 6 also makes a grand return, again included free with this title, and supported by 10 mini-games such as Mic Grand Prix, where keeping your voice in check is just as important as your driving.

More Mario fun ranges from leaping over electrified hurdles, avoiding a mole that happens to have a giant hammer, to titles that will put an extra smile on the faces of long time Nintendo fans like "Jump, man." Paying homage to Mario's beginning, players of this mini game make their way up the level by running along the obstacle course, jumping over barrels and climbing ropes. Even with it coming in to an already long line of Mario Party titles, you'll find out just what makes this 7th edition the best yet when the US edition arrives in stock this week. For those who can read Kanji, the Japanese version is already in.

Game|Life, Chris Kohler's new gaming blog for Wired News, has a revealing new interview with Hideki Konno, Producer at Nintendo EAD and the man in charge of both Nintendogs and Mario Kart DS. Here are a couple of choice excerpts:
Game|Life: Any plans for Nintendogs on Wi-Fi?
Konno: We have a lot of ideas (laughs). That's the next thing we'd like to tackle. So there are a lot of things that I'm looking forward to addressing in regards to that question.
Note: Game|Life stresses that the following quote pertains only to a working tech demo, not an actual game in full development...
Konno: ...We have this game with a big wok that you use to cook Chinese food, and it's really interesting to have the meat and vegetables frying in there, and use the controller to flip the food around without it spilling out of the pan.

According to Japanese rag Famitsu, forthcoming DS platformer New Super Mario Bros. will be the first ever side-scrolling Mario game to come with simultaneous multiplayer action. The revelation came from an interview with Tezuka Takushi, the game's producer, who also revealed that the focus of the multiplayer mode will be on competitive play, as opposed to co-operative elements.
Takushi-san also promised a raft of in-jokes and nods to the previous games, with hidden blocks containing 1UP mushrooms, flagpoles, goombas, piranha plants and cheep cheeps all making an appearance. And if that doesn't tickle your nostalgia bone quite as much as you'd like, the music will feature a number of revamped tunes from the original game, including the Super Mario theme.
It's not all retro though, as alongside the old tracks there'll be a number of new, infuriatingly catchy tunes, as well as a selection of new power-ups, such as mushrooms that can either make Mario huge (big enough to take up the whole screen) or pint-sized.
New Super Mario Bros. is out next year.

Multiplayer madness returns for seventh go; two new characters, 86 new minigames, and six new game boards highlight game.
When he's not playing baseball, making guest appearances in SSX on Tour or in NBA Street V3, hitting the links, saving damsels in distress, or racing around tracks in karts, Nintendo's Mario likes to do what all gaming superstars do: party on until the break a' dawn. The plucky plumber and his friends are back again in Mario Party 7, the latest addition to the festive franchise.
The latest edition of Mario Party doubles the fun by expanding the maximum number of players to eight.
