News from Lik Sang
Let's start with a reminder, boys: Valentine's Day is on the 14th of February and that happens to be very soon indeed. "How could I forget? Now should I buy one more game for myself, or something more than a kiss-on-the-cheek for my girl?" Answer: Just buy games for your girl. Throw flowers and chocolates on the top if you have too, but for god's sake, buy your girl some games. That's how you efficiently expand a monthly budget: reach two targets with one hit; play in the pink world.
On top of the advice list goes the Nintendo DS Candy Pink. Already smokin' hot over the Christmas rush, this item is perfect to introduce your beloved one to the wonderful world of Nintendo. It comes in the perfect color (plus we got pink pouches too!), it's cool and innovative, and it offers diverse software libraries that will please both yourself and your lady. It's like a roses bouquet with a romantic poem, except it's better. Choose the right games to go along and it'll get you sex [Editor: I am actually not quite sure if I was allowed to publish such a pitch without getting hammered down by censorship over the next few days; I guess I'll know more tomorrow by checking my spam inbox for hate mails from Christian integrists]. As a matter of fact, Nintendo's motto is at expanding the gamers' audience, no matter who or how old you are. They have released over the last few months games for old people, for people who don't like games, for kids, for hardcore gamers, for casual gamers, for my buddy Daniel, for themselves, for me, for you, for everybody and everyone... including of course for women, if I may get back to the point. Be it in Japan or in the USA, female audiences love to train their Nintendogs. Chicks also dig Animal Crossing DS (which History will probably remember as the first "unisex" game ever), Mario Kart DS and many more of Nintendo's hits. Even the sensational music games from big N should please. Pick up wisely, remember it'll get you sex.

A new WIP version of DeSmuME (previously known just as yopyop from the name of its author) has been released. It progresses quite fast and it's already able to run some commercial games. The interface of the emulator is in French but fortunately Chrono Archangel took the time to translate it to english.

Today Ubisoft, one of the world's leading video game publishers announced that it will publish and distribute LOSTMAGICTM, the Taito-developed role-playing action video game for the Nintendo DSTM system in North America and Europe this spring.
"LOSTMAGIC brings role-playing games on the DS to a new level, capitalising on the innovative and unique gameplay abilities such as casting spells with the stylus and the global connectivity of the Wi-Fi mode," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Ubisoft is proud to continue in its tradition of bringing cutting-edge games to gamers worldwide."
In LOSTMAGICTM, designed by renowned art director Yoshiharu Sato, peace in the world is challenged by a new evil force. The only hope lies with the wizard Isaac and the seven magic wands left behind by the creator. Monsters wield unimaginable power in this realm, and as Issac, the player will use the stylus to unleash magic spells and command numerous monster squads in magical battles.
Key Features:
Cast Spells With the Stylus! – Your stylus becomes your magic wand! Use different motions to unleash your magic.
Evolving Magic System – Players can combine up to three single spells to create more than 350 magic combinations using a symbol system exclusive to the DS.
Collect and Command Monsters – Learn to use each monster's special skill to gain the advantage in battle.
Use the Stylus to Open Up a New Frontier in RPGs – Experience strategy like never before! LOSTMAGIC's innovative RTS-type RPG makes full use of the unique capabilities of the DS. Control your units directly on-screen using a point-and-click interface that PC strategy gamers have enjoyed for years.
Challenge Others via Nintendo Wi-Fi connectivity – Create new characters and challenge friends over a Wi-Fi connection. In Dueling mode, players can test their magic casting skills and strategies against each other

SuccessHK have news of a new commercial game:

Experience the feel and finesse of real golf on beautiful 3-D courses with Touch Golf. In this dual-screened Nintendo DS golf game, using the touch screen and the stylus is almost like swinging a golf club in real life. The longer players slide a stylus across the touch screen, the harder they smack the ball. Players also can curve their swings to slice or fade shots and alter the angle of the club head for sharpshooter-like accuracy. Touch Golf features multiple game modes, character customization and wireless multiplayer support for up to four players with just one game card.
