Nintendo has revealed that the 3DS version of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will contain new content not in the Wii original. As before, each level will contain letter collectibles that spell K-O-N-G. Collecting all of these along with puzzle pieces hidden in each stage and you will unlock 'extra content' like the more challenging Trophy levels.Beat every Trophy level and Nintendo says a "brand new surprise awaits".The 3DS version will also have a new 'easier' option for less experienced gamers that will give the Kongs three hearts instead of two. You'll also be able to spend Banana Coins on items from Cranky Kong to "help save you from falls, allow the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel to take a second hit, and even let you use a DK Barrel whenever you like."Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will release on 3DS in Europe on May 24, Nintendo confirmed recently. We gave the Wii original an 8.8/10 score in a praising review in which we called it "an impressive, worthy successor to the classic Super NES series".

Finally… Every aspect of Pokemon Ultra Violet Version is finished. The Player’s Guide has also been completed. While making the Player’s Guide, it was a good time to test EVERY event, and find all the glitches.
You may have noticed some glitches in previous versions such as:
- No Pokemon were in the “Steel Maze” in the 4-points Catacombs.
- The statues in the Pokemon Mansion did nothing (game ending glitch).
- Kabuto could not be revived.
- Sneasle and Zigzagoon were not in the game.
- Many other small glitches (text issues or sound errors).
All of these and MANY more were fixed…
Also, some new events were added:
- Celebi has his own event.
- Defeating Celebi (not catching) gains you an egg containing a Pichu with volt tackle.
- Defeating the Elite Four re-spawns a defeated (not caught) Celebi
- BuriedAlive has been added (not in the Player’s Guide, read the lore to find him)
- A few text modifications have also been made such as Oak’s speech after you beat the Elite Four.

Dragon Quest X's Wii U release sold 33,302 copies at retail in its first week in Japan. Granted, that first "week" lasted two days, as Media Create's weekly ranking period ran from March 25-31, and Dragon Quest X was released on the 30th, but that's still low for a Dragon Quest game. The Wii version of the MMO, for comparison, sold over 420,000 copies at launch, and Dragon Quest IX sold over 2 million before that.
Not only is that low for a Dragon Quest game, it's not exactly the boost the Wii U hardware so desperately needed. The Wii U only sold 22,829 units last week, behind both versions of the ever-popular 3DS (Luigi's Mansion 2 was the best selling game, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf is at #3, approaching 3 million copies life-to-date), and behind even the Vita, which is experiencing something of a resurgence.
The sales situation for Dragon Quest X is more complicated than it may seem. While the retail sales were disappointing, there's likely a significant number of digital sales, which wouldn't show up on Media Create's charts – and which we'll never know about unless Square Enix or Nintendo decides to tell us. Square Enix offers half-price downloads of the Wii U version to anyone who owns the Wii version, so it's safe to assume at least some of the Wii buyers took advantage of that offer.

There are at least two schools of thought when it comes to playing retro games. Let's call it two for the sake of argument. On one side, there are people who want all the modern conveniences, both in-game and out: save states, fast-forward and rewind in the games, and wireless controllers, high definition output, and non-finicky hardware to play them with. These are the people who like emulation the most, either through downloading ROMs or official downloadable re-releases of games.
On the other side, there are people who strive for absolute authenticity: real cartridges on real consoles, played on CRT televisions with real controllers. These are the people who, hypothetically speaking, stuff a Twin Famicom in their suitcase while on a business trip to Tokyo.
Somewhere in the middle is this thing.

The Wii U's Miiverse has received two new updates to improve user experience. The layout of the community pages has been updated to enforce a limit of 100 comments displayed at once, in order to improve loading times.Meanwhile, communities have been grouped into categories to smooth out the search function. Now you simply need to type what you are looking for, such as 'Wii U Games', and you'll find the right community. The updates are small, but they bring speed and convenience to the Miiverse. More updates are expected to roll out soon, including MiiVerse browser and smartphone support.

Developer Demiurge says it is 'business as usual' for the studio despite the cancellation
Sega has cancelled the Wii U port of Aliens: Colonial Marines.
The Wii U port, often tipped by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford as the best version of the title, had been expected to launch in March, but Sega has now confirmed the game has been cancelled, although it has not given a reason for doing so.
"Sega can confirm that the Wii U sku of Aliens: Colonial Marines is no longer in development," read a statement from Sega.
Albert Reed, CEO for independent US studio Demiurge, which was developing the Wii U port, has told Develop that while the company is sorry to hear of the game's cancellation, it is "business as usual" for the firm.
"We were very sorry to hear about the cancellation of Aliens for Wii U," said Reed.

The newest Monster Hunter has been a much-needed success story for Wii U - so much so that the game is selling out.
Fortunately, Nintendo of Europe has pledged to resupply retailers with fresh stock of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for both Wii U and 3DS within weeks.
"I'd like to apologise for the current stock shortage due to high demand of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate at retail," Nintendo of Europe boss Satoru Shibata tweeted via an official Nintendo account.
"New #MH3U stock will hopefully be available in shops next week for Wii U and mid April for Nintendo 3DS. Both versions of #MH3U are also available on Nintendo eShop. Again, I sincerely apologise for causing any inconvenience."
Sales for the Wii U itself have been slow since launch, but the release of Monster Hunter 3 helpedits UK performance rebound significantly. Nintendo has also promised to work with retailers to detail its plans to regain momentum for the new console.

Activision has announced Fast & Furious: Showdown, a video game tie-in for the upcoming street racing film.
The game will be released in the UK on May 24th for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U, according to GAME listings.
Polygon reports Showdown is being developed by Firebrand Games and focuses on two-player co-op. Gamers can switch between the self-explanatory roles of driver and gunman, as well as the less-clear positions of tactician and daredevil (presumably the chap who leaps from bonnet to bonnet).
Most of the action will take place in an objective-based Challenge Mode, with online leaderboards allowing players to compare their scores.
The May 24th launch for F&F: Showdown comes a few weeks before the June premiere of Fast & Furious 6, starring Vin Diesel.
