News/release from Sander:
Just a quick update for people who own slot-2 devices which don't have a DLDI patch for it: I created an FCSRed build of AmplituDS v3. If AmplituDS works with the normal released build for you, there's no need to bother with this FCSR build.
What does this mean? It means that all the files which should go on your flashcard are put inside the .nds and .ds.gba files of this release. This in turn means there's no need to DLDI patch anymore with this build and it should work on GBA-slot flashcards.
Do know that it saves to (GBA) SRAM instead of to a file. I quickly tested it, and it seems to work properly, so there you go. Have fun with it.
AmplituDS is a DDR type game for the DS.

via Eurogamer
This week's additions to the American Virtual Console which you probably can't access anyway are Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Golden Axe II and Lode Runner.
Sonic 2 (Megadrive, 800 Wii points) sees the little blue fellow darting from left to right in massive, multi-path 2D platform levels in pursuit of Dr. Eggman/Robotnik/whatever - and putting pay to whatever it is he's doing with the Chaos Emeralds. It introduces Tails, but don't hold that against it.
Also from the Megadrive cupboard comes Golden Axe II, which also-also sees players marching left to right in the fearless boots of a barbarian, a dwarf or an Amazon warrior "sorting out" various enemies we can't for the life of us remember and joining up for a bit of head-to-head two-player when the going gets Game-Over.
Finally, Lode Runner (NES, 500 Wii points) is about collecting nuggets across increasingly challenging 2D puzzles, and the NES version features an Edit Mode for making your own levels. It's actually the second game in the series to appear on Virtual Console, following Battle Lode Runner (TurboGrafx-16, 600 Wii points), which was released in late April.
However, none of the three above have been released on the European service. Will one of them become this Friday's 100th addition to the European Virtual Console? We don't know. If we had to speculate, we'd phone in sick.

Mollusk has released a new version of his sudoku game
Heres whats new:
Optimizations on the memory used and the rate loading (even if one does not see the difference for reasons which I will explain thereafter)
New code of generation of sudokus, symmetrical. Little tested, it goes, is slower than the old code (approximately that takes time that one had gained on the loading)
New format of skins (same as front one but with 2 lines moreover to support the new buttons)
Undo/Redo, on 2048 levels. Ca makes kind 30 minutes of play if one makes 1 modification/second, I think that that will be enough After all, a grid contains only 81 boxes…
Reorganization of the code history to make cleaner, but that everyone of fout
Installation of the system of statistics and safeguard, but nonfunctional here. It is a version beta, I said to you, therefore I had the flemme to hide that Confirmation when one leaves Intensified brightness of the lines on the screen top for more legibility (messed up on moved)
Improvement of the recognition of certain figures for several people (I do not know any more which but those that one subjected to me)

Eatit has released his own mod of the Snes emulator for the Wii and Gamecube:
Hi there,
I finally have a pretty decent version(IMO) of my Snes9xgx2.0.1b6a modification running.
This is Mod1(Version1.0)
I have included the readme.txt file as well as a file called usage.txt to explain what changes have been made and the operation of them within the emulator.
This modification was mainly tested on Final Fantasy 2(The game get's really steady framerates on the world map.) and is mainly intended for RPG gamers and people who generally like to be able to modify their Turbo Framerate.
Let me know how you guys like it and if you encounter any problems.
Main Changes:
Highlight: Turbo Mode Speed toggling available(Press the C-Stick up/down to change your speed) this allows you to change your emulators turbo speed to the following settings: 2x, 4x, 6x, 10x, 12x, 15x, and 20x.
I felt this was a worthy modification because every one of these framerates runs silky smooth(Unless your playing a GFX Chip game such as Star Fox as it already has a low framerate).
1.) Z Trigger is now used for Turbo Mode.
2.) Z Trigger can be changed back to select by simply moving your C-Stick to the right and switched back to Turbo by doing it again.
3.) NGCZoom has temporarily been disabled to allow my speed up function usage.(Will add another menu option later).
The Source and compiled .dol files can be found below.
Sorry for anyone using SDSlot A I mistakingly used my own test file for this update and it was not named -sdslota. It should be corrected now .
IMPORTANT: NGCZoom in the Emulator Options Menu must be enabled in order for the Turbo Framerate +/- to work. Make sure you view the Usage.txt file before playing to see what new features are included.
WARNING: FREEZE STATES ON A MEMORY CARD ARE AT RISK OF BECOMING CORRUPTED UNTIL CRUNCHY2 Fixes the problem!

Every gamer knows that the Wii is the most popular console of this generation thus far. It has been sold out since launch and is still relatively hard to come by. But what is driving this console’s success? Its simplicity, for one thing, is making it popular among the public, as is its cheap price point. But is this widely successful console really the best one?
The Wii is the only console of its kind, unless you count those “ALL-IN-ONE sports games” or those “GREAT-VIDEO GAMES FOR CHEAP,” that you will likely see at Wal-Mart. The Wii’s motion sensitivity is a unique factor that draws people to the console. The ability to easily pick up and play the console fares well with gamers from the elderly to the very young. And after they play it once, everyone says to themselves, “It’s cheap and easy, so why don’t I get one?”
This attitude has contributed to the console’s immense success in the industry, and has sparked waves of imitators, from the PS3’s motion sensing to the 3rd party Xbox 360 version. But the things that make the Wii great for casual players, such as simplicity and motion sensitivity, may not fare as well for hardcore gamers. This is exemplified when Nintendo puts out games like WarioWare, Raving Rabbits, Excite Truck, and Zelda for the Wii. These games were all very popular for the system and have had immense success, most notably Zelda.
Although Twilight Princess did get great reviews, it was a departure from the standard Action-Adventure games that die hard gamers have come to play and love. At first this game too felt awesome to play, but after a while the game lost most of its novelty, and I was looking for shortcuts just to finish it. For me, this is the case for many of the games that I have played on the Wii. The games really do seem fun at first, but eventually they become dull and repetitive.
With the exception of mini-game collections like Raving Rabbits and Wario Ware, the groove that Wii games have been falling into may not be a problem for developers now, but as the console grows in age, it may. People who really play alot of video games may begin to realize that there is not that much innovation that can be done on the console, and could stop investing money into its games. Another factor that might drive some gamers away are the sub-par graphics that are standard for Wii titles, and the lack of HD output.
The Wii features a ‘Broadway’ processor and an ATI graphics card; these are roughly equivalent to a spot in between the Gamecube and the first Xbox. To say the least, this is not stunning, and could make a gamer start to think. The hardware capabilities (or lack thereof) are revealed in many games, a main example being Tiger Woods PGA Tour: 2007. The graphics in this game are down-right horrible and rumor has it that for the PAL version, they get even worse. Graphics this bad are unheard of in this generation, but can still be seen on the Wii. The idea that this console could never even come close to matching the graphical power of the 360 or the PS3 really turned me off as a gamer.
These bad graphics are again emphasized by the lack of any resolution above 480p. High-Definition is slowly becoming a new standard for gaming, and HDTVs are quickly becoming common objects in many households. Therefore, the lack of the HD on the Wii becomes more of an issue because one is unable to unlock the full-potential of his or her TV, while the Wii looks worse on this HDTV than it would on a normal display.
So far the Wii is plagued by gimmicky games, bad graphics, and lack of HD output. The Wii is also brought down by its uniqueness because game ports from developers are much harder to make comparable to the other platforms. Game developers can no longer simply port their games over to the console because of the changed control scheme and hardware. This, in turn, causes the Wii to miss out on major multi-platform titles.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved the Wii when it came out; I beat Twilight Princess, downloaded VC games, voted on the Everybody Votes Channel, and created countless Miis. But, after spending a lot of time with my 360, I realized that it would be hard for me to have quite as much fun with the Wii. Therefore, in my eyes, the Wii has not met my expectations.
PS- Where is online play?

Jack Thompson, that lawyer we love to hate just won’t quit, it’s hard to imagine how his family does not now loathe his very existence. He is on a crusade to put an end to gaming, especially violent gaming. On his list now is Manhunt 2 for the Wii. It doesn’t end there.
According to QJ.net, he is also gunning for Super Smash Brothers 2 since it "encourages kids to beat and throw their friends out of the stage" oh yeah, that’s so violent… it’s so violent I can’t bear to watch people play it, turn it off, turn it off NOW! (of course, that’s sarcasm of the highest degree). Just think what will happen if your kid decides to do more than stab your TV with the Wiimote. They might think a white knife is the Wiimote and go off on a rampage, oh the horror!
But, Manhunt 2 on the Wii is slightly different, instead of pushing buttons on a controller like you would with the XBOX 360 or PS3, you are required to mimic stabbing motions with the Wiimote making the act of in-game killing, all the more real.
Dear old Jack isn’t satisfied with the M rating of the game and thinks it should be banned all together. Australia has seen some success in completely banning some of the Grand Theft Auto games but here in the US we like shooting, killing and destroying stuff in games, it’s what we like to play.
I’m not a fan of the Manhunt series nor I have I played it, I’ve seen demos but I won’t touch the game. It’s simply not my style because there is no point to what you do in the game, unlike in the WWII games or Halo series in which there is a point to your mass destruction.
Here’s hoping Jack Thompson gets exactly what he deserves, permanent disbarment in every single US state and Territory. The minute he manages to win a case is the day gaming as we know it dies. He cannot ever be successful. Let’s all make it our mission to make sure he isn’t. With practically the whole gaming industry against him and the Florida bar… and the Alabama bar, how could we possibly lose?

Three new retro classics arrive at the Wii Shop (in the US) today, starting 9 a.m. Pacific time. The newest additions to the Wii Virtual Console library include:
Lode Runner (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): This landmark action-puzzle game has been a worldwide fixture in video games from the moment of its inception until today, producing many sequels and related products along the way. The player controls the hero, or "Runner," who collects gold nuggets located around every stage, all the while avoiding capture by enemy robots. The action itself is simple, but the stages are designed as increasingly challenging puzzles, and none of the 50 stages is as easy as it seems. The Runner avoids enemies by digging holes in the floor to the right and left of his position—by doing this, he can clear a path to places that, at first glance, seem unreachable. Players must use their brains to collect all the gold nuggets in every puzzling stage if they want to escape to the next. In addition to normal play, this version of the game features an Edit Mode that allows players to design their own stages, adding a new level of enjoyment to the game.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik) is back to continue his zealous search for the Chaos Emeralds needed to fuel his new Death Egg contraption. The evil doctor secretly follows Sonic to his vacation spot, Westside Island, and launches a full-scale attack, imprisoning all the helpless animals of the island and turning them into mindless worker drones. Now Sonic must thwart the doctor's plans at all costs. This time he isn't alone, as a peculiar two-tailed fox named Miles Prower (aka Tails) decides to aid him in the battle. Together they must locate the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Eggman does, and put an end to his diabolical scheme.
Golden Axe II (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older – Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): Not long after the devastating reign of the wicked Death Adder, another evil arose. Dark Guld and his minions invaded and took hold of the prized Golden Axe with plans to destroy it. Once again, as a fierce barbarian named Ax-Battler, a fearless female Amazon known as Tyris-Flare or a ferocious dwarf named Gilius Thunderhead, you will wield steely swords and powerful magic in an all-out war to recover the sword. Once you slash your way through the six side-scrolling levels, you'll get the chance to defeat Dark Guld once and for all.

It seems that the Nintendo Wii is 7 years too late with their motion sensing controller for a tennis game. Someone has beat them to the punch..the Sega Dreamcast. Thats right! No, there was no special controller that was never released or a modified controller. Its actually the Sega Dreamcast fishing rod. Yes, the fishing rod! The fishing rod works well with Virtua Tennis and acts as a tennis racket. Similar to that of the Wiimote and Wii Sports. It will take a bit to get use to but it works just like the Wiimote. Unlike Wii Sports where the characters are automatically controlled, you actually have to controller the players in Virtua Tennis with the analog stick and at the same time, swing the racket...errr fishing rod.
Below is a video of it in action.

News/release from James
XtenDS Alpha 05 has been released featuring a number of fixes in the interface and programming. I have also decided that XtenDS should NOT be a Gamemaker but a tool designed to aid DS Developers, because that is realistically its true purpose.
Some features I added (and can remember, lol)
Set Text Colour
Set Text Location
C Code editor
Scripts mechanism
DS Like Interface and universal control layout
Auto Update/Disable XtenDS from my PC
Thanks for the support. I wouldn't be here without all the great comments.
