Newly released on import at Play Asia:
Steal Princess Touzoku Oujo is an orthodox fantasy RPG that captures people's hearts with the endearing characters and exciting gameplay.
Rumors has said that the demon lord has heaps of treasures hidden in his castle, greed and the thrill of venturing into the demon lord's territories tempted many treasure hunters to embark on quests. However, none of them came back.
Anice the thief girl is one of these treasure hunters, although her plans failed, she managed to escape with her life. As a rare survivor from the demon lord's castle, the royal family came to her with a request to save the abducted prince from the demon lord's stronghold.
Anice is unwilling to take that request, however her protests falls upon deaf ears and together with the strange fairy Kukuri, the two of them set off to rescue their damsel in distress, but most importantly, to have another go at getting their hands on the demon lord's treasures.

News/release from ANTONIOND
Good morning.
Well, this is the game that I'm working. If everything goes as it should, become a game between tamagochi and Nintendogs, jeje. So far I have prepared the 3D graphics engine, you can tell the character where you have to go and the camera follows him. You can see an example of objects that can load normal.
Finally, I leave you here. Parcheadlo with DLDI and put the folder anywhere on the card (up to 6 subdirectories, I think). Works with emulators that support FAT, as the idea.
Controls:
- A: Buying object randomly.
- B: Use the object that is watching.
- X: If the minimap has clicked on an object will go towards him.
- Pad: Blobb looks to that side.
- Start: on / off lights.
Select: Save data.
- Y: How to organize.
In organize mode:
- L / R: Rotate selected object.
- Stylus: Move, select ... everything.
When you load:
- Maintain A: Load data.
- Maintain B: Duplicate money (if you're not loading data).
This is version 0.6:
Features:
- Mode organize added.
Augmented-speed cargo lot.
- Using the refrigerator is opened or closed (the texture is wrong).
By using the gift-establishing an object in the inventory.
- I think some problems that made the game blocks have been resolved.
A salute tod @ s!

Uguru posted this recently:
Again uMSX news, but this time for Nintendo Wii. In the following video (apologies quality) shows a basic implementation of the emulator. At the moment it is only a proof of concept, but I am still working on that and ceases to be binary, will become part of the usual releases.
The main points are working full adaptation of controls (as soon as it has a classic command will be given support as well) and the filemanager to manage archives of the SD.

Updated release from Sylus101
7/29/08
New Version but more to come.
Updates in v.91:
Modification of palette colors. I intend to merge the transparency edit and palette edit into one option though, because it's a tad redundant...
Choice of whether you want to save palette or sprite AND choice of file names
More files visible in palettes and sprites folders when loading.
Some slight look changes, and randomization of speed of the little intro graphic.
Still to Come:
Change of working directory so nds file can be wherever you want it on your card. Will be possible with n00bey's help showing me the chdir() function.
Saving/loading binary files.
Restart option... this I'm procrastinating on...
and a surprise I hope people will really enjoy, but it's going to take awhile to code...

Jeff has released a new version of his Rogue clone for the Nintendo DS/GBA and also the PSP, heres whats new:
Congratulations go to Ilyak who has successfully ported POWDER to Windows CE. His changes haven't been brought into the main baseline yet and require some munging of libSDL, but hopefully the baselines can be synchronized soon. The addition of this new port, whose SDK bested my last attempt to install, has led me to step back from my attempted policy of building every platform myself. The GP2X build I attempted never worked, and lacking the hardware, it is very time consuming to try and fingle it into working. Thus, both GP2X and WinCE will not be directly maintained by me. GP2X is already integrated in the source code so it is "relatively" straightforward to build, hopefully something similar can be done for WinCE. I'll try and point to the last-known-build of these versions, but as they'll be maintained by external volunteers, they can't stay in sync.
Adminstrivia out of the way, on to the goodies! Exciting new tools include the first large special weapon - the Earth Hammer. More zaniness has been added to the great tridude den in the sky. Sick and stoning characters will get some onscreen visualization of their plight, and users of stickyflame will enjoy a more accurate depiction of the suffering of their foes.
Leather helms will actually use the new leather helm icon. (Bunnyriffic)
Doors to special rooms will hopefully now be properly blocked so wandering monsters don't wander through them.
Secret doors should no longer be giveaways in dark rooms by being the only lit wall.
Special overlay tile when creatures are on fire.
New special weapon, the earth hammer. (Ibson the Grey)
Creatures may teleport you to escape rather than always themselves.
Creatures will use wands of sleep to escape. (Derek S. Ray)
Creatures that are tame to someone other than yourself are described as followers rather than tame. (Derek S. Ray)
Picked up items always go to the end of your inventory rather than filling holes, hopefully making it easier to find items you just picked up. (Malte Helmert)
H'ruth is no longer impressed by you being surrounded by sleeping or paralysed enemies. (Robert Hamaker)
The charging of lightning rapiers is now proportional to the damage that would be done.
Tlosh will grant exotic armour skill. (R. Dan Henry)
Necromancer and Barbarian dress codes (R. Dan Henry)
When polyed into a grid bug you can move diagonally with the stylus, mouse, or the new Move command. (Michal Bielinski)
Flamestrike's strength now is dependent on your favour with your current god. (Xaintrix)
Ghosts are no longer able to bypass the library's locks.
You can make secret doors and hidden traps. (CYBER Aeon)
You can smash viewports. (Brendan)
Name generator has a hotkey so keyboard purists can use it. (Brendan)
Forgetting things no longer leaves the menu on screen.
When turning to stone or poisoned your apperance changes.
The final damage from poison is now applied before the you are cured message, leading to a less confusing apparent order of events. (Andrew Poandl)
Ibson the Grey tileset white and red dragons fixed. (Vladimir Stalin)

News/release from henke37
Sendelf by henke37 with assistance by dasda. Graphical client that sends files over TCP from windows computers to Wii consoles. May require the .NET framework and does require the visual studio runtime.
Mainly for the Homebrew Channel, but still works with the the standalone server by Svpe.
Usage instructions
Start the server on the Wii, that is start either the standalone server or the Homebrew channel
Unzip and run
Select file to send
Enter the IP address of the Wii
Make sure that the correct protocol is selected
Change the port if needed (most likely from using the client for the other protocol previously)
The standalone server uses port 8080
The Homebrew Channel uses port 4299
Enter any arguments if needed
Hit the send button
Or just double click on an elf or dol file, it will be sent directly to the last used IP address. No, it does not crash if you hasn't set the IP address yet.
Full feature list
Works with both the standalone server and the Homebrew channel
Works with both elf and DOL files
Saves the used settings in the Windows registry so that you don't need to change them at each start
Is extremely tiny, partly thanks to the release being UPX packed, but also from directly using the Win32 API
Supports drag and drop of files onto the main window.
Does basic sanity checks to prevent the most obvious user errors like forgetting to select a file.
Change log
V 4 has working args sending, an installer and associates with the files for even easier sending.

News/release from ravenexus
RTWii is a homebrew application drawing raytraced scenes on the Nintendo Wii. It is coded in plain C and has been ported quickly so it may be unstable (but shouldn't).
Usage
Put the scene (some are provided as example) you would like to render in
/raytracer/scene.rt
on your SD Card.
The syntax is fairly simple and you can include other scenes, do whiles...
Start the application (.dol for Gamecube / Wii Edition, .elf for Wii Edition). The screen will go blank.
Wait for one minute or more then the scene will appear on the screen. Beware if you try to render big scenes, it'll be really slow.
Smile
Press up to quit.

News/release from tona
AnyTitle Deleter is an application which allows you to completely delete (almost) any title on your Wii. This is useful as a space-freeing application, an informative application, and a paranoia tool. I also hope the source code will be helpful to others making tools for the Wii.
NOTE: DELETING DISC-BASED TITLES FROM YOUR SYSTEM WILL DELETE ITS SAVE DATA!
The following are some notable features:
Deletes previously "Non-Removable" titles, such as IOS, MIOS, some system channels, etc.
Contains extensive brick protection--You cannot delete your System Menu, it's IOS, or some other necessary titles.
Lists all titles installed on the system in both hex and ASCII format in a series of nice (but console-based) menus.
Attempts un-installation of titles the "safe" way, and if it fails, will do a more manual "delete" upon request.
Although I'm far from a "good coder," I put some work into making my code fairly simple and useful for others. For programmers looking to learn something about the Wii, this code contains:
Lots of examples of various ES and ISFS calls
A fairly reliable, though unorthodox System Menu region detection method (not based on console settings, so it applies to even semi-bricked systems)
A console-based menu that should be fairly easy to adapt into other other applications (Just write your own UpdatePage() function)
Lots of comments
Load using any method. This does not rely on SD or any other hardware, so it can be loaded with any current method.
Navigating the menu is self explanatory. Just select a title you want to delete and hit A.
Titles currently only display Title ID (I may add full name listings later).
The ability of this program to delete system titles has caused a bit of worry. As mentioned in the feature description, however, it contains extensive anti-brick precautions. It has been tested on consoles from multiple regions and system versions, and contains fallback protection when some settings cannot be detected.

Link posted this news:
Okay, people wanted it, people get it.
Ocarina is a very simple Wii application for your homebrew channel. What it does? Start a game.. but there's a twist of course.
Ocarina checks the GAME ID.. like RZDP01 for Zelda Twilight Princess (PAL). Then it checks the inserted SD card whether it can find a cheat code file for that game: in this case it would have to be name [sd]:\codes\rzdp01.gct .
To create GCT files.. a PC application is bundled in the package. This application is coming with 2 example files. rsbe.txt and rsbp.txt (Smash Brothers NTSC-U and PAL respectively). Using the File menu you can open, them and select the cheats you want.
Note that unlike an Action Replay you can modify codes with XXXXXXXX inside them.. it will always ask you to store modifications to its application memory I added this question so that people do not cry if a code is messed up - the actual cheat code file will not be modified until you save it in the app.
Once you're done selecting codes: click on "Export to GCT"... and the rest should be pretty straight forward! Insert your SD card.
The package is seperated in a PC folder (PC client) and HBC (Homebrew channel)... put the stuff in its folders.. and they're happy!

Capcom needs to sell lots more copies of Okami before it will contemplate a sequel, according to VP of strategic planning Christian Svensson.
"I think we need a lot more people buying the current version before we seriously consider a sequel," Svensson told the Capcom-Unity forum.
Asked about worldwide sales of Okami (and Wii title Zack & Wiki), he added: "Alas, unless our investor relations team gives out the numbers, I can't do so. And in both cases, they haven't."
Later in the thread, though, Svensson also responded to one forumite's exasperated comment that the game is hard to find in Europe.
"We brings things to retailers to sell... retailers decide what to put on their shelf and how much of it.
"Obviously, we push as hard as we can to make that happen. Sometimes retailers opt to not take product or they take only a small quantity.
"And how good the game is, unfortunately is only a part of the equation."
How good is Okami? Well, Capcom's Zelda-inspired action-adventure earned 10/10 from us - twice. Kristan fell in love with it on PS2 and Keza felt much the same way about the Wii version.
