One of my favourite games of all time Super Mario Bros 3 has seen a new rom hack recently and heres the fixed version of that hack, heres more details:
Super Mario Bros. 3: The Forgotten Worlds is now 100% tested and fixed. As a bonus, a poster has been attached, where you can read the fully worked out and improved plot.
As for those, who has downloaded and played this game, once again, sorry for having 4 worlds in the game. The SMB2J clone hack patch allowed only 4 worlds regularly and the idea/plan was 4 worlds originally, too.

Monster Party Famicom has been translated to English which is great news for fans of the classic Nes game:
After countless hours of work, we present to everyone our completed translation of the Japanese prototype ROM, Monster Party. Shortly after the prototype ROM was released to the public, Pennywise began efforts to translate the game with Ryusui’s help. In a short amount of time all of the text had been translated/localized, but the project was not yet considered complete.
Being an unfinished prototype, the goal was to add all the positive changes and “finish” the game. Due to a lack of time on Pennywise’s part, that effectively killed the project until rainponcho came along and agreed to do all the necessary work to hack the game into a finished state. Please do keep in mind, that there will be at least one more update to the translation with the completed totem pole boss when time permits. Who knows when that’ll be though.
So enjoy this lost relic of time for now!

If your a fan of Super Mario Bros 1 youll love this rom hack that brings james bond into the Mario universe, heres more info:
Are you a fan of old 007 movies and retro gaming?
‘007 - You Only Live 2wice’ is a spoof of SMB1 offering a difficult challenge and complete re-imagining of an old classic. This ROM hack features new fireball mechanics (thanks Teeporage777), unique puzzles, and secrets.
- Included in the download is a ‘Mission Briefing’ with extra challenges for the veteran Mario player (e.g., Can you beat level 3/4 without letting go of RIGHT on the DPAD?).
- Also included is an optional ‘Easy Mode’ which plays slower than the original to allow new players an easier way to master each level.
Be the first to jump down a pipe–at your own calculated risk–and enjoy this iteration of SMB1!

Aighina's Prophecy has been translated to English, if your fans of this NES game then this is awesome news for you, heres a bit more info:
Aigiina no Yogen - From The Legend of Balubalouk, also known as Aighina’s Prophecy, has been fully translated into English. It’s an arcade-style action platformer released in 1986, and thus is one of the first Famicom games to use a large amount of in-game dialogue. Up to now the only translation available only translated the in-game menu and a couple of lines of NPC dialogue: now, the introduction, password system, ending and NPC dialogue has been fully translated (and corrected, in the case of the ending).
While it’s perfectly possible to complete the game without understanding the text, having it translated brings a lot to the game, and documents you can find during the game will give you clues of how to progress. That being said, it is still fiendishly difficult to figure everything out without a walkthrough. If you’ve never tried this piece of platform fun before, why not give it a try now?

PaulGoes has released a new clone of a classic for the Nintendo Wii, here some more info:
Donkey Kong Jr In 1982 I got my first ‘handheld’ console: the G&W Donkey Kong Jr. In 1983, I programmed my own version for the TRS-80 home computer. And now I programmed this version for the Wii homebrew. Why? Because it is simply possible to do and a fun experience too! I got the trigger to start this at an information evening at my son's school. A student of de 'hogeschool voor de kunsten' was telling about game design. A girl asked him if it would be possible to program games for the Nintendo Wii. That question triggered me because the month before I softmodded my Wii.

Over at Nesworld comes news of a new clone game for the Nes Console, nice to see the old console still getting some attention:
The Oliver Twins are back with yet another Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game for everyone to enjoy. This time around however it is quite special. We all know their generosity from the release of the NES games DreamWorld Pogie and Wonderland Dizzy, titles we all knew about but figured had been lost forever. I even spoke with the Oliver Twins back in 2002/03'ish about Wonderland Dizzy and back then it was no where to be found, sadly a hard disk crash back then put an end to a small Wonderland Dizzy i had planned.Well enough about Wonderland Dizzy, because this page is a tribute to the latest news from Philip and Andrew Oliver, a Nintendo game I bet no one, other than those who worked on it, knew existed.... Mystery World Dizzy!

Nes World have some information about the release of a clone of the Nes Console:
Welcome to yet another look at the dark side of the Famicom/NES era. This time around it's the Super Pegasus, and even though I've seen a lot of pirate stuff in my time, I've never heard of the Pegasus or seen a more direct rip off of an existing console.Famicom clones come in various shapes from the SEGA Megadrive to the Nintendo 64 to Playstation 1 and 2 and the list goes on and on. Some of the most common one is probably the Super Famicom look-alike, also known as the Mastergames Supercom 72. Well the the Super Pegasus fits in the Super Nintendo rip off category, only it's looking exactly like a Super Famicom, even the cartridge lid is Super Nintendo shaped.

The rogue type game has been updated for the 3DS, heres the latest release info:
POWDER is a roguelike originaly developed specifically for the Gameboy Advance (GBA). It is not a port of an existing roguelike as the controls of the GBA are very different from the traditional keyboard, and the screen imposes some additional limitations. It is built around replayability and long term ergonomics, not short term learning. It uses actual graphic tiles (16x16) rather than the traditional characters.
The game goal is very simple (:evil, descend into the depths of the dungeon until you reach the foul daemon known as "He who the author cannot spell consistently", or, Baezl'bub. When you have slain Baezl'bub in heroic combat, or, if Baezl'bub dies in any way, retrieve his black heart and bring it to the surface world.
--------
The source code of my port is on my github (https://github.com/nop90/POWDER-3DS).
The compiled game (3dsx) is released on github (https://github.com/nop90/POWDER-3DS/releases).
