via http://gbatemp.net/t307739-last-survivor-v2-0
No one had ever seen so much action and creativity together to give you a good feeling of pleasure, Last Survivor immerses you in the role of a person who has appeared in the middle of nowhere, mountains and deserts on one side to another, your goal is to build a home or shelter for the night away from the monsters that are scattered by such a mysterious place, an experience you could not miss. To be presented for the first Scenery Beta 2011 .
For some strange circumstances have appeared in the middle of nowhere, in an uncivilized place in which we only see mountains, deserts and snow fields s, which change every time you start a new game. The primary objective is to settle in this place, so we can take some of the ground tearing the stylus and put it where it suits you, or you can use the table to transform some of your objects in different ones, this technique makes survival much more interesting . Do not forget that you are not alone, you can find everything from scorpions paseándote or pigs to zombies or robots (the latter only in the dark), the pig is the only one who attacks you, and if you kill makes you regain life, the rest attempt to annihilate.
During the game you have a helpful menu on the top screen (which can be accessed by pressing Start), which you can see tutorials, you can put objects from one you already have (to activate this option you have to be next a table), you can organize your inventory (press the stylus in the boxes of inventory items) and you can save.
In short, your mission is to make a home well lit to ward off the creatures and get the best quality tools possible to deal with a lot of parts of the ground more quickly.
Controls:
Stylus: Take some of the ground, put an object in your inventory on the ground, attacking a living or select an option from the main menu or the one during the game.

[Rich's] newest version of takes what was already good and makes it better. We looked at the original version back in May, which is built into a knockoff controller – [Rich] mentions that he got a lot of flack for defacing retro equipment and wants to set the record straight. The most notable difference between the two controllers is that the batteries are now housed inside the case. He switched over to an 850 mAh Lithium Ion battery, which takes much less room than the four AA batteries did. There is an integrated charger which connects via a mini USB jack as seen in the image above. Bother versions of the controller can be used to play emulators without rooting your Android device.
Unfortunately you won’t get to look inside the case. What we can tell you is that the build no longer uses a BlueSMiRF board , opting for a less expensive Bluetooth solution. We also know that the build is still Arduino compatible, sporting an ATmega328 chip running the bootloader. The lack of detail is because [Rich] is working to market the controller with a limited-quantity preorder. Check out his video presentation of the new version after the break.

September 11th, 2011, 22:15 Posted By: wraggster
The Lavalit guys have released a new of their Beatem Up for the Dreamcast, PSP, Wiz, Wii, GP2x and Dingoo:
penBOR is a continuation of the Beats Of Rage 2D game engine, which was originally
created by the wonderful folks over at http://www.senileteam.com.
History
----------------------
In 2004, Senile Team released Beats of Rage, a free beat-'em-up for DOS inspired
by SEGA's Streets of Rage series and using sprites from SNK Playmore's King of
Fighters series. The spread only by word of mouth, but it nonetheless
amassed popularity very quickly. Senile Team soon released an edit pack allowing
anyone interested to create a mod for the BOR engine.
In 2005, Kirby2000 asked Senile Team to open the source code to BOR. They
agreed, and OpenBOR was born. Development on the engine was continued by the
community, and still is to this day.
Available Platforms
----------------------
OpenBOR has a very modular and portabledesign inherited from Beats of Rage. Ports
to the following platforms are currently supported:
* Windows
* Linux
* Mac OS X
* Wii
* PSP
* Dreamcast
* GP2X
* GP2X Wiz
* Dingoo a320
In addition to the above, the original Beats of Rage engine (downloadable from
the Senile Team website is available for the following platforms:
* DOS
* Playstation 2
* Xbox
* GP32
* Palmtop

news via http://www.romhacking.net/forum/inde...pic,13226.html
I am happy to announce the official release of Final Fantasy Zz, a hard-type hack of the original Final Fantasy for the NES! Final Fantasy Zz includes both bugfixes and enhancements that will make this hack more fun and more challenging to play than the original.
Some of the enhancements include the ability to see the contents of a treasure chest without having to drop something if your inventory is full, the ability to buy 9 items at a time, new and more powerful magic spells, slightly remapped dungeons, new enemy formations and AI, improved and rebalanced classes, new equipment, and the ability to dash by holding the B button. Some of the bugfixes include fixing the INT bug for magic, fixing broken magic spells like TMPR and SLEP, fixing some cosmetic bugs, and fixing the multiple level-up bug.
This hack is recommended for people who are very experienced with the original Final Fantasy. There aren’t any cheap enemy encounters, such as Iron Golems in the Earth Cave, but if you are not careful, any battle could be your last.
This is a great hack that has taken almost four years to develop. Give Final Fantasy Zz a try! Good luck! (You’ll need it!)

While it was announced today that GameStop's to release a snazzy white PS3 model in the UK on November 1, the US is to get a new DSi XL colour on September 18.
It's Metallic Rose, which is "an eye-catching shade of pink with a luminous modern sheen", according to Nintendo.
"For kids eager to head back to school in style or busy adults with an appetite for on-the-go entertainment, this new colour option rolls fun and fashion into one irresistible package," the platform holder adds.
If pink's not your bag, DSi XL is also available in other colours including Bronze, Midnight Blue and Burgundy, at a suggested retail price of $169.99.
