Nintendo Co. on Mon. announced four new classic game titles for the Wii Virtual Console. The releases mark a total of 100 game titles available for download at the Wii Shop Channel.
New titles include Milan's Secret Castle for the NES, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funktron for the Sega Genesis, Dead Moon for the TurboGrafx-16, and Zelda II - The Adventure of Link for the NES.
Milon's Secret Castle is an action platform title that will sell for 500 Wii Points, ToeJam & Earl is an adventure title that retails for 800 Wii Points, Dead Moon is a side-scrolling shooter that sells for 600 WiI Points, and Zelda II is an action RPG that retails for 500 Wii Points.
Nintendo last week announced that Zelda II would mark the 100th title for the Wii Virtual Console. Since launch in Nov. 2006, the Wii Shop Channel has held a steady release of classic game titles for various game platforms. Previous titles include Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.
Wii is the best-selling home console in the U.S. and has sold 2.5 million units to date.
Nintendo expects to achieve sales of 35 million Wii units by 2012.
