Super Mario Bros. Special was a remake of Super Mario Bros. for the NEC PC-8801 computer in japan (among others, I believe), done by Hudson. It's actually hard to call it a remake, as it's pretty much an entirely new game. Strange music, odd graphics, some mean glitches, and you progress one screen at a time, though the screens tile in such a way that you can still see a bit of where you came from. Very interesting stuff from the 57 year old Youtube user powerful nana, who has lots more obscure stuff, if you browse his profile (PC-8801 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jad-ozqrUZ0"]Popful Mail for one). So for SMB Special, check out World 4 if you only check one...it's got glitches and weirdness galore. The others are worth watching too though, he's basically got the full game in there. world one to get you started, if you want the full experience. Hudson Bee powerup in there, and there's Hudson logo in world 4 as well. Really easy to do the infinite extra lives trick in this one, it appears, but it also looks like you really have to know what you're doing in order to make this game work.
