Nintendo’s Miiverse web and smartphone app for Wii U is inching closer to arrival. Polygon reports that Nintendo's Kiyoshi Mizuki stated the app would be available in either April or May. It will only have basic functionality at first, including posting comments, drawing doodles, and joining game communities.
A 3DS version of the Miiverse app is also in the works, but Nintendo didn’t provide a release window; though Mizuki did mention that not every game or app on the 3DS will carry Miiverse support.
We first heard of the smartphone integration for the social network back in January as part of Nintendo’s reveal of upcoming Wii U system updates.
