Nintendo of America has officially launched the "overhauled" Club Nintendo rewards website.
As internet hawks had spotted when the revamped site went live prematurely last week, Nintendo has made it possible for Club Nintendo users to trade in Coins for downloadble games for Wii, DSi and 3DS.Current games available include Super Mario Kart (Wii VC, 100 Coins), Fluidity (WiiWare, 150 Coins), Xevious (3DS 3D Classics, 100 Coins) and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (3DS eShop, 150 Coins).
Nintendo says this selection will be swapped for new titles on January 10, selected based on consumer feedback.
The site has also been given "a fun new look" and "new Coin-earning opportunities", plus "new Rewards, including Nintendo-themed notebooks and pen cases, plus a set of limited-edition posters honoring the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda". You're also now able to register third-party games for Coins.
Club Nintendo lets users tap in codes on leaflets that come with (previously first-party only) Wii, DS and 3DS games to redeem Coins, which can be exchanged for rewards on the site.
