Scribblenauts creative director and 5th Cell co-founder Jeremiah Slaczka has revealed that the Wii U will not have its own universal achievements system. Posting on NeoGAF, Slaczka wrote that "there are no Wii U accomplishments that are system-wide".He continued to write that Scribblenauts will have its own in-game achievement tracker in the form of 'Flobal Starite Shards'. These are "like a giant checklist of global things to spawn and do in the game that aren't area specific," he wrote. Sony introduced its trophy achievements in a post-launch system update, so it's not unfeasible that Nintendo will have achievements down the track. For now though, it'll be up to individual developers to create their own.
