An upcoming Japanese Nintendo Direct webcast will provide fresh information about 3DS games Monster Hunter 4 and Ace Attorney 5. The event will take place this Friday, May 31, and will be hosted by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.Last December, publisher Capcom delayed the Monster Hunter 4 release date in Japan from March 2013 to this summer, "based on the decision that further quality enhancements are needed in order to meet the expectations and wishes of users".

Ace Attorney 5, or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, has been given a release date of July 25 in Japan. It will be released digitally in the west, but not at retail,
The next scheduled Wii U Nintendo Direct broadcast will take place at E3 on June 11. It will feature Smash Bros, a new 3D Mario game and Mario Kart for Wii U.
Nintendo held its most recent Direct webcast earlier this month, during which it showcased Wii U games set for release this spring and summer.
The platform holder revealed European release dates for The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3, announced Wii U and 3DS exclusive Sonic: Lost World and confirmed a retail release for New Super Luigi U, among other announcements.
