Wario is set to return to DS in a brand new 2D platform adventure called Wario: Master of Disguise and, although very little has been said about the game, the official Japanese website has updated with a run of new in-game videos that reveal its unique gameplay mechanic.
Wario will tackle the various puzzles and obstacles that he encounters by changing into a selection of different costumes, each giving him new powers. And players will switch through these costumes using quickly-drawn gestures on the touch screen.
The videos show Wario performing his money-grabbing antics in seven different costumes, including Spaceman Wario, which can shoot lasers, Graffiti Wario lets players conjure blocks on the screen by drawing squares, Doctor Wario, which scans the world for secrets, and many more of his ingenious powers.
If the gesture system proves to be easy to use and is used cleverly, Wario: Master of Disguise will be another big hit for the DS.
The game launches in the US on March 3, with a European release expected shortly after.
