Capcom has shipped 2m Monster Hunter 4 units out to retailers just days after its arrival on Japanese shelves.
The publisher announced the milestone for the latest effort in its popular action RPG, claiming that the game has had more shipments in its first week than any other third-party 3DS title in Japan. VG247 further reports that actual sales figures for the game’s launch week are expected to arrive next week, adding that total sales for the franchise now exceed 25m copies.
Capcom has yet to make any mention of a western release for the game, but the title’s predecessor Monster Hunter 3 did eventually make it out of Japan.
