A HD version of 3DS eShop game Mighty Switch Force 2 is in development for Wii U.
That's according to Nintendo Everything, which says it 'received confirmation' from developer WayForward. The studio offered not even a vague release window, saying that the port is "kind of a back burner project right now".
This comes after a Mighty Switch Force 2 listing for Wii U cropped up on the PEGI ratings board website.
Mighty Switch Force is a 2D platform/puzzle hybrid that has players searching through obstacle-filled levels to track down Hooligans within a time limit. Mighty Switch Force 2 hit the 3DS eShop in June 2013.
The sequel is similarly played, but with a slightly differing premise: the player takes on the role of a firefighter to track down and put out fires in maze-like 2D stages.
The first Mighty Switch Force was released for 3DS via the eShop in December 2011, before being ported to Wii U in HD form a year later under the revised title, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition.
