News from Lik Sang [br][br] An abundance of light means plenty of shadow as well. Samus, intergalactic heroine, finds out the hard way when what looked like a straightforward rescue mission following a distress call turns into a battle to save a planet from vanishing into dark oblivion. It's Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, the highly anticipated sequel to Retro Studios' masterpiece Metroid Prime, which in 2002 introduced a well-received First-Person 3D view to a cult-classic Nintendo series.[br][br]Become the bounty hunter behind the visor once more and travel to a world where a friendly species is facing genocide after a great cataclysm tore the fabric of space and time. Here, Galactic Federation Trooper Squad Bravo went missing. The search for them reveals that this rogue planet Aether sees his natives, the Luminoth (which reside in Light Aether) attacked by the Ing Horde, terrifying beings unleashed from Dark Aether, a dimensional echo. Restoring peace to this once undisturbed place lets Samus embark on a challenging mission, where all the new features of Metroid Prime 2 will definitely come in handy. [br][br]First, speaking of weapons, the Light Beam and Dark Beam will help you to fight the Ing, solve puzzles and unlock doors. Then there are of course freshly tailored suits available (Light and Dark respectively), as well as several visors, for example the Echo variant, which lets you detect enemies by sound resonance. Furthermore, the famous Screw Attack from Metroid games of the past makes its triumphant debut on the Nintendo GameCube, and you'll also be able to rely on Samus' Wall Jump now. And don't forget Multiplayer Metroid: For the first time in the history of the franchise, up to four players can battle each other as they search for weapons, grapple across ceilings and turn into Morph Balls to make their escape.
