Waiting for new Revolution information is absolutely nothing like waiting for a bus. Firstly, the age-old addage about three turning up at once clearly isn't true. Revolution news barely ever involves having to look the other way while a drunk man pees in the corner of the bus stop, and finally - and most damningly of all - the Revolution just isn't a bus.
Anyway, following the blanket silence from Nintendo execs after company president Satoru Iwata's controller unveiling at TGS last year, it looks like more information on the elusive next-gen console could be ready to break.
According to industry magazine MCV, Iwata is set to reveal "key details" about the Revolution when he appears at this year's Games Developers Conference, taking place in San Jose between March 20 and 24. Citing senior sources at Nintendo, MCV speculates that Iwata's revelations might include pricing and release information.
If true, it's an interesting move given that most people assumed all major announcements regarding the console would be kept under wraps until this year's E3. The move could suggest any number of things, including a sooner-than-expected launch for the Revolution. Of course, it's also possible that Iwata might use GDC to unveil some of the machine's more mysterious features - Nintendo execs have constantly hinted that there are some major surprises left to announce.
Whatever Iwata's plans involve will remain a mystery until GDC at the earliest then. However, even if reports are inaccurate, it's unlikely the Revolution is going to remain an enigma once E3 gets under way. Excited? Oh yes.
