Nintendo of Japan have announced a new official peripheral that will allow you to play MP3's and MPEG4 movies on the GBA SP.[br]The peripheral that has the tentative name of 'Play-Yan' is the size of a standard GBA cartridge and plugs into the game-cartridge slot of the GBA SP. Content is stored on SD-cards that slot into the side of the cartridge, allowing you to play your own content via the device. Take that PSP![br][br]The top of the 'Play-Yan' also boasts a headphone socket allowing you to hear your files without buying an extra peripheral. The device is scheduled for release in February 2005 in Japan at a price of 5,000 Yen (approx. £25). [br][br]There's no confirmation yet if the device is compatible with the Nintendo DS, but if it isn't, expect Nintendo to have something even bigger planned!
