A unique donation will ease the interview process for child crime victims.
Today, CD Tradepost handed over a new GameCube system to the Police Department's Crime Victim's Assistance Unit.
The new equipment and games will be used to improve the unit's interview room and make it more comfortable for young crime victims.
"Children that are in domestic violence or have violent acts committed against them have a little time," said Dawn Maendele of the Victim's Assistance Unit. "They're sitting there thinking about things that've happened. These games will allow them to divert attention to something else, even for a short period of time."
The Crime Victims' Assistance Unit began in October 2002.
Since then, it has helped more than 7,700 victims of crime.
