A Bravely Default demo is now available on the US eShop.
The demo features a unique side-quest that is not available in the full game, while character development progress will carry over to the main game. Like other 3DS demos, the Bravely Default taster can only be launched 30 times. However, this limit can be extended by putting the handheld in sleep mode instead of powering it off entirely.
Nintendo of America has announced a Bravely Default release date of February 7, 2014.
Developed by Silicon Studio, the team behind 3D Dot Game Heroes, Bravely Default is a JRPG that utilises the familiar turn-based battle system seen in Square Enix's Final Fantasy titles while making use of the augmented reality features built into 3DS.
The 3DS game will be available at retail and on the eShop at launch. A collector's edition will include the game, an art book, 34 AR cards and the soundtrack.
Publisher Square Enix is to release a sequel to the game titled Bravely Second.
