Article from Lik Sang:
As someone who will only go for a walk if there's an Ice Cream store at the end, or only do aerobics if it's on a DDR mat, the idea of giving my old grey matter a work out without feeling like I've been sent back to school has my attention. Now in English, the original version was one of the top selling DS titles in Japan, and comes from the mind of neuroscientist Professor Ryuta Kawashima. The entire game is controlled via the touch screen and stylus, and a wireless multiplayer mode allows up to 16 would-be Einsteins to compete brain-to-brain.
As you play you'll be presented with a series of puzzles based on mathematics, analysis, and memorization, as well as the sudoku puzzles which have become an extremely popular feature in U.S. newspapers. A high score system and a series of tests to determine how "old" (i.e decomposed) your brain is will keep you challenging yourself, and best of all the game is only US$ 29.90! Considering many of us probably spent about that much on brain-cell killing drinks this Easter weekend, that's a small price to pay to win them back. Don't forget either though that with the DS being completely region free, anyone can import this and while they're at it, pre-order Brain Age: Big Brain Academy due for June 5th.
