Atari are cleaning out the closet and dusting down the hits of yesteryear for the imaginatively named Retro Atari Classics - a 10 game compilation of geriatric goodness - that's heading to the Nintendo DS.[br]Set for release in spring of 2005, Retro Atari Classics will feature 10 original Atari (surprise, surprise) games: Pong, Missile Command, Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, Tempest, Warlords, Gravitar, Lunar Lander and Sprint.[br][br]The game is set to make full use of the technical innovations of the DS including touch screen functionality, wireless multiplayer, dual screen gameplay and the ability to play head-to-head against another player on the same Nintendo DS.[br][br]But wait, that's not all! Here comes the science, or at least the twist. In a bid to appeal to the modern gamer as well as the nostalgia freaks, each of the ten games will be available in both original and new tagged versions.[br][br]The Tagged mode features brand new looks for each of the 10 games from some of today's most popular graffiti artists including REAS, Delta and Obey Giant. [br][br]Shouldn't they all be out painting trains or something?[br][br]Retro Atari Classics will hit DS in the US in March 2005, with a UK release to be announced when we get the system's release date over here.
