Actos Games has announced through their kickstarter to the world one of the best stretch goals yet: A Wii U version of APEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat to the platform. Setting the goal at $20,000, just a scant $5,000 more than the initial goal, it will allow Actos Games, LLC. to bring this heavily anticipated Puzzle game to the console, allowing Nintendo fans to download it from the eShop and engage in word wars with their Wii U GamePad. Current backers can choose the Wii U version if the game makes its stretch goal.
"There's nothing more exciting than having Nintendo extend their hands out to you as a developer," said Jonathan Meyer, CEO of Actos Games, LLC. "Our first game, APEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat, is perfect for the system, and it's clear Nintendo fans would love to see more interesting indie games hit the console. It's up to the Nintendo fans to really see if they wantAPEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat on their favorite system. We will be able to use the power of the Wii U to help with our battle graphics, including processing power handling all the background coding that goes on which is thanks to the Nintendo Web Framework."
APEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat is a puzzle RPG based around creating words from a boggle-like board. Calling itself a "successor to Puzzle Quest", it features four RPG classes, town-building, side-quests, and special hidden NPCs you can find to change the game's multiple endings. Similar to Bookworm Adventures, you are able to deal more damage to enemies with your words based on the skills you activate and use during combat.
