505 expects evergreen sales for Sniper Wii U

The Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2 could prove to be an on-going seller like its 360 and PS3 forebears, says publisher 505 Games.
The game uses the Wii U GamePad to track enemy positions and set traps.
“The GamePad really dials up the tactical elements of the game and makes them that much more satisfying,” said senior product manager Juliette Green. “We’re happy, like many other publishers, to support the Wii U. Nintendo always brings something innovative to the marketplace.”
Sniper Elite V2 first appeared on Xbox 360 and PS3 in April 2011 and, after a surprisingly strong launch, continued to be a regular in the charts throughout the following months.
“We were delighted with it,” said Green. “Commercially, it was a hit with a couple of weeks at No.1. Week-on-week it continues to perform, which shows its potential as an evergreen product.”
The Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2 is due for release in spring.
